Massively overpriced, average snorkelling, I've had much better snorkelling for much less money elsewhere. Snorkelling in one site wasnt safe due to strong current and waves, guide was rude giving unclear instructions, saying to swim towards the boat then ordering boat away when I got near, potentially dangerous, then told me to 'shut up' when I protested. An expensive and unpleasant day.

An unassuming dive shop with top notch service and staff. Highly recommend.

only for tourist, very bad organization (the pickup you at 7 but you will be waiting until 9 to start diving), bad guides (not well qualified). crowded dive spots with a lot of beginners. 3mm Neoprene on 19 degrees water is crazy and it's what you get from this dive center.

Very disappointing experience due to the manger who was dismissive and arrogant with regard to; wrong fill (air not Nx) dirty fill (filter changed next day - dive aborted, no spare cylinder available), broken equipment (fittings on primary and occy), total compensation $5 for Nx. Bad protocol (cylinders analysed on the boat- we needed to insist on doing so prior to boarding), not all relevant staff trained in analysis, gear missing from basket (later returned), unfortunately the attitude at the top tends to filter down and one of our group was abused after experiencing difficulty in strong current shortening the dive.

We had an awesome time on our snorkeling excursion with Blue Season Bali. The crew was professional, helpful and funny! We felt safe the whole time and got to see lots of awesome sea life. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a day out on the water in Bali. They definitely delivered on our expectations!

Two Months at Blue Season Bali

I am a freshly qualified Dive Master, having completed the two month internship at Blue Season Bali in Sanur. In my two months here, I have dived a world-class shipwreck more times than I can remember; hovered motionless surrounded by manta rays; tried desperately to breathe normally whilst goggling at a small school of sharks and become enamoured with the minutest of sea creatures (not to mention the slight competition between interns to spot them.)

The dive master program is well thought out and logical. It is a clever blend of fun and serious; with just enough responsibility given to the interns to encourage high standards. The diving can be extremely challenging at times. Bali is an excellent training ground. At all times the instructors are on hand to encourage student divers but also to provide that ‘safety net’ and back up which inspires confidence. Each intern is recognised as having individual needs and individual aspirations and their time spent in Bali is tailored accordingly.

The English language does not contain enough words to appropriately describe the instructors. They are firm but fair, kind and encouraging, task-masters and tough - and above all they are your friends. I lost count of the number of times the instructors stayed hours after their days were done to help out; or to offer tuition or guidance. The local guides also are excellent. Their depth of experience in Balinese waters is evident in their passion for the dive sites and their talent at spotting the rarest of creatures.

Every member of staff at Blue Season is interested in your progress and will offer some piece of advice, be it how to just tweak buoyancy slightly or where to buy the best dragonfruit. The office staff regularly accompany on diving and snorkelling trips, meshing the ‘water-based’ and the ‘land-based’ employees together. After-hours football, beach cleanups and endless dinners together further this. I have made friends for life over the past two months - firm friendships built on a foundation of trust both above and below the water.

Completing an internship at Blue Season Bali is not a studious pursuit: it is to melt into a community - to join an extended family of divers who welcome you with open arms. From the first day’s right-angle learning curve to the days where you run the show, Blue Season supports and encourages every intern who steps through the gates. I would recommend it to anyone.

I cannot justify finishing this review without a special mention of Amanda Kelly. I returned to Blue Season Bali two years after Amanda took me on my very first open water dive, to complete a full circle where she verified my final dive for my dive master application. Amanda is professionalism itself, and is a credit to Blue Season Bali and also to PADI. She motivates her students with brimming enthusiasm and her love for diving is apparent in everything that she does. I am lucky to have dived with her so many times.

I came BSB for my OW & AOW lessons this Jan., and it was really wonderful! Teachers are very experienced and patient (especially the Chinese Coach team) which make me felt secure. Being with them was like staying in a big family, and I'm sure I'll come back to BSB for my manta and mola mola tour! Of course they also provide good service like car transfer, lunch & beverage.

I did my PADI Open Water Course with Blue Season Bali and it was amazing! My Instructor Jenny was awesome, even if i had some problems while doing an exercise she's been calm the whole time and tried to help and support me as much as she can. I am definitely going back to Blue Season to complete my Advanced course with them!

Never Again!!
Misleading information, mixed group of divers and snorkelers (12 instead of 6 people per group - as they have told us before).
We Had to wait 25 minutes until the divers came back to the boat again.
During that time 3 of 6 snorkelers vomited, the other 3 felt sick.
We had to leave the trip after the first stop.

We had to pay another 50$ to get back to Sanur + 200$ for the trip.
At the end we got 100$ back (after a long discussion).

Finished my ow+aow certificate there. Such an unforgettable experience! Friendly staff, thoughtful arrangement, and professional/patient instructors made me feel well taken care of all the time. They really impressed me from all aspects. I really enjoy the days diving with them. If u are looking for a diving center in Bali to dive with, blue season Bali is the top choice with no doubt.

The Mercedes of dive centers. warm Balinese welcome from arrival till departure. very skilled guides, good quality gears, basically all you need to do is pay the trip and you won't need to bring anything else except yourselves and you won't even have to lift your gears, not even once! Dive Like King! it should be their mottos.

I did my Instructor Development Course with Blue Season in 2011, the team was organised, professional and we all felt incredibly well prepared for our Instructor exams.

I loved it so much that I returned in 2013 for my Staff Instructor Course and was again impressed with their incredible standards and professionalism.

Great company!

I did a snorkeling trip to Nusa Penida with Blue Season Bali. I was the only snorkeler in the group that day, the rest were all divers. My guide Putu was great, he showed me all the nice spots. He's been vary patient with me and helped me to enjoy my trip successfully. Looking forward to be on board with them again next time, to have my open water license perhaps :)
Great job, Blue Season. Keep it up!
