Rumah Makan Lamun ombak is the famous one restaurant in Padang. It is large, spacious, and give you option either sit in chair or on the floor (which is better). The servants are talented to stack lots of dishes in their hands. The bad thing that I felt that time was the lack of AC or fans since at that time were crowd. Some of my colleague said the food are the best in taste, but since I don't care, as long as the price affordable. Well then, actually it is. You have to try!

One of the most favorite restaurant for local tourist. Price a bit more but at least their food is delicious. Crowded during weekend especially lunch and dinner. One of the most recommended is rendang beef which is very soft and taste really good the spices absorbed well when you taste. They have formal table or just seating on the floor ( indonesian style).

The food is tasty! As a Jakartan, upon visiting this city, my friends and relatives recommended this restaurant to me, to taste the authentic Padang delicacy... and they are not wrong! The service is also good.

Tasty food served in a comfy place. If you want to eat delicious nasi padang with awesome servings then give it a try here. I usually eat there. Only did take-away once and I don't recommend it! Affordable food, approachable comfortable place, and friendly people serve you. No need to worry of lunch time peak, you will always find your table!

Deliciousness through balanced combination of spices and coconut milk. Cleanliness is good enough, though there's a surge of housefly when the dishes are served. Likely led by one of the dishes.

This place is more comfortable than Lamun Ombak at jalan S Parman, Padang. When I came there at 9 o'clock, their rendang already sold out, wow..

I'm pretty damn sure Jakarta has better rumah makan Padang. It's your average rumah makan Padang, with some things that are seemingly authentic yet not entirely new. Worth to try, but not worth going back to I guess. Get the teh telor when you're there.

This is a typical Minangkabau restaurant. The moment you sit down they will serve the side dishes and white rice and an empty plate each. Put an amount of rice on your plate and any side dish you want. You have to remember that once you have taken even a small amount of a side dish they will you for the whole dish. For example they put 6 quail eggs in a small plate and you took only 2. They will still charge you for the entire plate of 6 eggs. So do mind what you eat. Anyway, the dishes served here are tasty but on the average side.

Its the chain's newest and largest premise. No need to worries about the queues as the place provides LOTS of tables! The food is delicious as always.
It also has a quite large parking area. Although at peak hours you'll probably struggle to find a spot, there are parking guys who will guide you.

This place is one of the favorite for local and tourist to eat Padang delicacies. The place is clean and spacious. But for me,the taste of the food is standard, not that special. The taste is almost the same with several others Padang restaurant.

Excellent place for local cousins, good traditional Padang food cooked daily, pleasant environment, ample parking space, ATM machines, and fast and efficient service. It is called Lamun Ombak No. 3

Food are excellent and very tasty, i came here twice 2013 and 2015 during my visit to my wife hometown and the taste still the same and they have new food court present sundanese and javanese food and taste are delicious
