And old favorite back in JC days. Now ‘modernized’, with a/c or optional al fresco dining. Hmmm
Seems like the same but yet different, also referring to the food.
Pricier of course, prob w inflation and rents.
A lot of staff for a small place.
May not go back again. Well, maybe in couple of years time.

Base on the history, the food origin from Ipoh. However, their style is close to Hong Kong cafe. They have ready set for you to select from. I selected set A today ~ inclusive of Chicken rice and shrimp dumping soup and a cold drink. All for $8.80 which is not bad for restaurant. Food wise I will rate as 3 out of 5. Chicken is smooth and tender though. Hope you enjoy the review and follow me for more foodie post.

Standards have dropped greatly. Something might have happened to the staff crew. Everyone was new.
Or maybe the owner want to milk a few more dollars. Menu prices went up by 20% since I was here last month.
In F&B it takes one bad experience to lose a customer forever.

Would prefer if they could at least attempt to serve the chicken or noodles warm, better if hot. Claypot rice is decent.

Chicken was very tender but cold. Chicken in claypot rice was not fully cooked.
I think the food standard has dropped.

Ordered duck noodles and chicken hor fun. Meat was tender and tasty. Wantons were on the dry side. Overall an average meal.

Favorite dish: Ipoh hor fun (chicken with flat rice noodles)

They called themselves Ipoh Hor Fun but I wonder if they've actually had hor fun in Ipoh. It's nothing like it. Chicken was so so. Service is a long shot from being decent. Orders mixed up and delivered faster to other tables than ours. Just call yourself hor fun and chicken shop.. don't shame the Ipoh name..

Great local flavor at unbelievable pricing... I can't understand how the duck, char siew and roast pork can all be so fresh and flavorful at great price with aircon space... at the time we went there was no queue and food came out nice and quick... good food to try and will go back again for sure if in the area.

Other then the curry, soup n rice is hot, the rest is would say slight warm horfun, cold meat. So u decide for yourself.

This is an historic noodles shop with a different management from its days at a coffee shop in the 80s. Still providing good food!

Easily one of the best Ipoh style cuisine in Singapore

Very expensive bowl of noodles. Used to be family owned and food was well prepared, but seems like the place has been privatised and all the chefs' been changed to FT, food is completely sloshed.
