very conducive environment to study in, and people there are very careful not to make too much noise too.

The new self-service lockers for picking up reserved books is a bit of a let down. System fails quite regularly. The system "over ride" is also electronic and staff are unable to "over ride". They end up having to call in the vendors. More hassle for the staff. And the borrower ends up having to make a second trip to collect the reserved book - from the counter! Bring back the old pay at the eKiosk and collect at the counter. One time transaction - and fail safe!

My favorite public library in Singapore! It has 4 floors and have lot of tables and chairs to study and do your stuffs. The 3rd floor is the kid area which you will find it noisy. So if you want to have a quiet environment, go to 1st or 2nd floor.
Ground floor has a cafe which you can order some main dish. Never try their foods before though, as we can have more food choices walking out from the library.

Best Library in the world. This is one thing PAP is wise about. Shrewd investment -invest in books for your people. Buy a copy of all the latest books so your people can keep up instead of they having to use their money to buy.

It's a haven for book lovers and an exploration for kids. It has a level just for kids to enjoy the variety of books. The cafe serves good food with reasonable prices. However, if you intend to sit at the cafe area, be sure to be their customers, or else they'll ask you kindly to give up the seat for their customers.

Really noisy. Whoever (in the management) decided to change away the carpet floorings is (sorry to say) obviously not thinking. Now, you can hear every footsteps the sound of trolleys that the librarians use. Pls do something about it. Pls stop people from talking on the handphone in the library reading area. Are there no librarians around?!!

its a pleasant surprise to see a library amongst a very busy town - and its not one of them small, "novel" ones too, but an actual library! its very spacious with more than enough books and quiet spots for a "me time" whenever i visit Singapore and need to get away from all the daily rush

Lots of people. Can't eat can't play. What's the point of living?
