Nice place to dance and drink. Supersoni music band is awesome! Not enough ventilators to reduce the sense of hot -and they have a lot- (will be better a swimming pool). :))))

The location is ideal because it is cozy and away from the hustle of other drinking/dining establishments. I just stop there to order their famous duck pizza, but when I arrived, I was greeted right away be a helpful staff member. She took my order and asked me to wait at one of the table. I was there about 6:30 PM and there were two tables with people. They seemed to be having a good time. From other reviews, I agree that the music is too loud as the two tables seemed to want to chat with background music lightly playing. Otherwise, nice place. The duck pizza was delicious with a combination of sweet and crunchy.

We ordered the half-half pizza, it's not as good as before. The pizza was loaded with sauce but very little topping. The buffalo wings and truffle fries were also very average. The live band were 1 hour late to start, but the performance was nice. I'd not go back for dinner, but it's better as a drink and chill place cos the vibe is nice.

Great live music and affordable drinks and food. An overall fun atmosphere and good venue to hang out with friends. Definitely recommend checking it out.

A great live music venue in Singapore. Was there on a quiet Wednesday night with a few friends. This turned out to be 80s night, with what must be the best 'pub' band I've ever seen. Their take on classic hits was great, and they really knew how to work an audience. Timbre itself was an attractive venue, nice cocktails and great bar food to snack on through the night.

Food was alright
Band was good
Service was horrible. Got ignored by 2 waiters, waited close to 20mins to pay the bill.... Unfriendly staff...

There are different bands playing on different days. Good place to enjoy music but you may not be able to hear clearly what is your friend talking.

We had dinner there, was early too before the crowd arrived. Had the half and half pizza and soup. Wanted to try something else other then the duck pizza. Guess the soup wasn't popular, the kitchen can't served them. Think the should remove it from the menu. 630pm, the soup definitely can't be sold out. Disgusted by their management rule that very person must order a drink. My wife couldn't take alcohol so she had a cranberry juice instead. 7 bucks for a juice that isn't freshly made.

Went on a Saturday evening, and we were rather early so no crowd at all. No band yet but nice background music. The duck pizza was no longer a wow factor, not saying the standard dropped, maybe just too many better options out there. The truffle fries was very average and slightly disappointing in term of presentation due to lack of shaved parmesan. The substation-exclusive wings were 'ordinary' and the last dish, steak with melted brie came in really small portion with ultra thin layer of melted brie... definitely over-priced. Lastly, we were forced to order drinks as it's their rule, every diner cannot go without a drink.. which is quite unreasonable to me, we just want to join the food without all the liquid calories. $117 for 1 pizza and 3 sides plus 2 drink.

Unfriendly service when being seated and horrible billing system. We used the app which we was advertised to us at the start. Was not given the wifi password (in this day and age, really?) even though they were promoting this supposedly stellar app. We did it anyway, and when it came to paying our bill it was an absolute disaster. It took 20 Minutes for us to complete our payments and the service was awful. Will not be back

Great music! Came on Friday, 53A is on stage, awesome performance! The pizza is so nice

The ambience is amazing. Love band will play at 10pm. Please make reservations beforehand to get the best seats.
The food is good. They serve varieties of food and drinks. It's Quattro Formaggi is pretty awesome.

Go there on Friday Nights to listen to 53a! Awesome local band with a great mix of music. Versatile band members make it all the more awesome!

5 reasons that keep us coming back to Timbre Substation. Sara, Alvin, Bani, Helman and Naz. 53A will not fail to perk up your Friday evening with their eclectic setlist and energetic performance. Reasonably priced duck pizza and beers are great bonus to keep coming back.

Awesome live music. Service can be improved. Great truffle fries and pizza, great crowd that's enthusiastic for good music

This is probably one of my favourite live music venues in Singapore. Started with EIC (Jack & Rai) and now with 53A. Great beer selection, happy hour options and pizza range is yummy. Check out the website to see which band is playing each night, usually starts after 10pm.

Go on a Saturday night to listen to the band called Supersonic!
Likely the best local live band I've seen, and I've seen a few. The 2 singers in the band are amazing. They are crazy good. One male and one female, taking turns to tackle different song requests.
Not to forget the instrumentalists, all incredibly skilled too. The band is so tight! Close your eyes and it'll sound like a studio recorded soundtrack!
Fazil Musa (18/10/2016 13:05)
The music on Tuesdays and Fridays with 53A is unbeatable. Feckin legendary. You HAVE to come check it out.
Lee Enhao (24/07/2016 19:12)
Warm without A/C. Wasn't a place for chatting cos the music was way too loud. Live band started playing at around 10pm with dj playing songs before that. The band was pretty good and energetic. Food and drinks weren't exactly affordable. I think we paid 90 for a tower. The duck pizza is a must to order.
Aybike BAYRAKTAR (17/09/2016 17:24)
Definitly the best live music in town. Get in love with the band, their performance and energy.

Great music, delicious thin-crust pizzas, delectable desserts (chocolate mousse is amazing!), wide selection of drinks, and quick service as well. Love the band that plays on Thursdays.
Dao Bui Huu (30/07/2016 20:40)
Good place to enjoy live music. The band is good. But the singer's voice is a little bit weak. Hard for her to handle rock songs.
Victor Yeoh (03/06/2016 16:16)
Average food, typical drinks. Duck pizza a little salty. But delicious nonetheless. Band starts late on Friday. Songs are mainly English ones.
Marvin Lowe (02/06/2016 09:59)
great place to enjoy live music and chill. look out for their happy hour deals!
Bryant Cho (28/05/2016 12:52)
Given recent construction works in the area, the ambiance has somewhat died down for a bit; still a nice place to hang out for drinks and the duck pizza is definitely something which you have to order!
Jess D. (21/05/2016 14:25)
We were a party of three and were expected to share a small table. They didn't allow for a Two tables combination only if u were a party of 8 which was ridiculous. The female waitress who attended to us was Not accommodating and insisted that we could only share a single table. Subsequently after receiving our order they asked us to move to a larger table to accommodate the order of drinks and food. The food was avg, margarita was good. Pinacolada had tooooo much ice ruined the whole drink. the band only starts playing after 1030pm which is too late if u don't intend to stay on.
Low-Wee Heng (17/03/2016 15:10)
A great place to chill and drink. Remember to try their special duck pizza!
The live bands are awesome. Go on Wednesday if you want to listen to Jack & Rai. They usually start around 10pm, so there's no hurry to rush down from work
There's still a lot of construction going on because of the university nearby that is expanding. You'll have to take a short detour to get to the entrance
