Went to the Marina Bay Sands shop with my Sister to look at rings. We stood next to a couple being served and waited for our turn.
When the couple left, the sales assistant completely ignored us when we asked to see a ring. By this point, another couple was waiting behind us. The sales assistant promptly came back to serve the couple behind us. My Sister and I waited another 5 minutes until he was free and asked to show us a ring, he then ignored us again after calling for his attention. Could tell by his facial expression that he was ignoring us on purpose and was even smug about it.
We then walked to another sales assistant, and I angrily asked what their customer service policy was. He promptly replied that they gave priority to couples, meaning 1 woman and 1 man, as opposed to 2 women. So just because my boyfriend wasn’t standing next to me I wasn’t worthy of their service.
The manager came over after asking for him 3 times, was nice enough, but all he said was that he would speak to the sales assistant, completely NOT shocked that a customer was treated this way.
Very evident that they pick and choose their customers based on their assumption on who will buy. Not a word said to us to explain that we might have to wait for a bit, just being ignored. This is very low class attitude for a Tiffany & Co, thoroughly dissapointed. Wouldn’t suggest this shop at all, take your money somewhere else.
