The hotel staff were so good and friendly.
The room we stayed in was smelly though from cleaning products. Didn't really go away. Noise from a band playing till 2am did'nt help when we had just arrived on a long flight from London

Great location. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. A bit noisy at night. Not sound proof rooms at all. Would definitely recommend.

Staff was extraordinary friendly and accommodated any reasonable requests. The hotel and our room had a great atmosphere, and the location is great for adventurous foodies. Our booked room wasn't available, so we got bumped up to a bigger room. Unfortunately, the stairs to and from the second level were a bit too steep. Overall, we enjoyed a great stay.

Location - awesome! Very close to little India and Arab street. Conveniently located near all major tourist spots in Singapore
Room quality - very small rooms. Mine had barely any exposure to sun. I did like the free handy phone they offer, which anyone can carry for no charge. The phone offers gps and access to map, with calling on a charge
Free breakfast - they offer bread, fruits and cereal on buffet, and have weekly fixed menu for breakfast dishes, for example English breakfast, yogurt with fruits, etc.
... do meet the person who manages the breakfast. He knows bit of Hindi and sang a famous old Hindi song for us 😜

Quite good for a stay. Many good local food around. A small garden at 2 floor.

I wouldn't go back. The Puteri room was nice and spacious, however the air conditioning was blowing directly to the bed so it made the sleeping really uncomfortable and it's too hot to sleep without AC in Singapore. The noise from the streets was easily heard through the windows and also the nearby mosque started its prayer time at 6am which could also be clearly heard in the room. On top of that, there was also noise from the rooms above (chairs moving, footsteps). The breakfast has the same 3 options every day which is unsatisfactory for a 4 star hotel. The only positive thing was the staff that was extremely helpful and nice.

Great Hotel, conveniently located close to Arab Street which is a food heaven. Staff are nice and rooms are great too. Stayed 3 nights and 4 days. Only thing you should consider if you are staying over the weekend is, there is a live band on their premises, although not too much noise but the bass comes through and the Jalan Sultan road gets noisy with drunk people on Sunday nights. Hope this helps

A unique sharming hotel at a quite good location for sightseeing Singapore by feet. Friendly stuff and for Singapore with a fair price. Even the breakfast could be a bit more varied.

Excellent location for those who wants to enjoy Muslim food.. Walking distance to all restaurant and food outlet.. Not forgetting the free phone you can use for data and free calls.

Pros: Nice decor, cool historic building, relatively clean, breakfast included
Cons: a bit of a walk to the train station, room is small, stains on sheets, breakfast is meh (but still included!)

Ate at the classified cafe for a friend's birthday. Helpful staff, cheap beers, excellent sides. Mains were good but not spectacular.

Location is relatively close to the city. Ambience of the room is nice. However It's kind of noisy. The front desk is very courteous and helpful.

Despite it's declared as a 4 stars level hotel, it's really 2-3 stars only. First room assigned was embarrassing and indescribable... very small, dirty sheets, ants around the bed and several days dust on the pillows. After claim we're moved to another room, fortunately another level of accommodation: big bed, comfortable living and nice shower/toilet area. "Continental" breakfast included is scandalous... they ask you "English or American breakfast?!" But the choice is just one: microscopic eggs portion, beans, 2 mini sausages. Disgusting. No orange juice or other tastes (just a 'something' juice that seems to be medicine juice), just strawberry jam, half-rancid butter, flabby toast bread, coffee. Sorry but I can't suggest to stay here more than 2/3 days. Even 'cause the high price of this accommodation does not justify this service.

Went to the Classified Cafe. Ambience, staff was good, prices were competitive. Food is only average though, standard diner fare.

Summary based on a one night stay:
Got an early check in from the friendly staff, though I had to wait around the lobby a bit.
Good location, though not in prime tourist central. Easy bus transit. Many good restaurants and food courts within 10 minutes walk. Good security in this open plan property. Room was fine with good wifi and aircon. Quiet.
Good bathroom. Breakfast somewhat worse than average for this price point.
Recommended in this area.

We were there for our 15th Anniversary reunion. The food and service at the restaurant, the Classified, was simply fabulous. Thank you!

I stayed here with a friend in July this year. It was a pleasant surprise to be told breakfast was included in our stay. It wasn't a huge selection but more than adequate. The room was not big but very well laid out. The hotel was also very close to plenty of restaurants and a 5 minute stroll to the MRT.

Visited the classified cafe located at level one right beside the lobby. Servers were friendly and attentive. Food was pretty good and served with pride. Atmosphere was great!

Very cool small hotel catering for couples. Building is colonial age but beautifully restored. Rooms ate queen size bed with small bathroom but finish is immaculate. Rooftop bar with cabanas and private tables with excellent choice of music. Great drink and food menu featuring Arabic influences.
