A well-aged hotel across from City Plaza. While the room and stay was quite pleasant, there were a few things that subtracted from the experience. The room was mostly clean but usually with hotels we would expect impeccably clean. There were a few hairs in the washrooms that belonged to previous guests. As well, the sky lounge was nicely furnished but the food and beverage offerings during were strongly lacking. Lastly, during breakfast, the staff do not clear tables. Empty tables with leftover foods were abundant and when asked to clear tables, staff just directed us to an unused table outside of the buffet and walked away. Not the best experience. For their price in a JB, expectation for this hotel is higher but aside from having more spacious and nicer decorated lobby and rooms, nothing more justifies coming back again.

ME AND MY FAMILY HAD A GETAWAY VACATION AND DECIDED TO STAY IN YOUR HOTEL WHICH WE HAVE NOT BEEN TO FOR A VERY LONG. HOTEL IS STILL NICE TO STAY-INN BUT THE BATHROOM NEED TO BE RENOVATED BADLY!!!
YR BREAKFAST SPREAD IS STILL VERY GOOD AND VERY SATISFIED!!
STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY...WE HAD AN ENJOYABLE STAY!!!

The rooms are pretty spacious and clean with basic amenities provided. We love the view too! However, the in room phone need to be fixed as we're unable to call any hotel staffs.

With newer hotels opening up in town, this former Pan Pacific is shying away from the competition. However you would appreciate better value for money if you don't mind the small hiccups here and there. Executive Rooms were comfortable and offers good amenities. The Pacific Sky Lounge on 16th is spacious and luxurious with good variety of canapes in the evening. Too bad there's no option for private breakfast here though.

Centrally located. Very good customer service. Quite a huge hotel. Building did look imperious from far. A lot of choices during breakfast.

Convenience and not so crowded. Walking distance to a few shopping centre. The hotel is a little old but well maintained and the room is spacious.

it is a comfortable hotel though the hotel is old. decoration and room styles has been old and contemporary but still it is comfortable. i would say it worth the money.

The place us old but the service & facilities are good. Pool is small but clean. It's 10 min walk to the CIQ so it's near to most shopping centers for a quick weekend trip.

Good for families especially if they drive.
Walking up the hill not recommended for the really elderly, very old hotel, wifi terrible in rooms, air con not cold, they recommend to use wifi at lobby. Personally there are some other choices nearby with better facilities.
Only good thing was the view as I requested a good view. Added walkway for shortcut if u are going up from city square shopping center. Beside public bank there is a staircase going up towards the hotel.

My husband and I checked in to your hotel on the above stated dates. We both enjoyed our stay there. I was lucky that there wasn't much hassles upon checking in and out. I also noticed that the air con wasn't working well as i felt the room was stuffy. However, your maintenance guys came to attend to my needs quite efficiently.
However, I really do hope that you are able to do some renovation on your hotel as some of the fixtures are quite old dated and the shower curtains are stained.
And I will really appreciate that your service counter staffs can explained better on how to go into your WIFI.

I like the spacious room but the room is a bit dated. It would be great if it has been updated. If you are on going online in the room then it will be best to get a data SIM for the purpose. The WiFi is not as good. The breakfast option is pretty good. You will have plenty of option even if you are a vegetarian here. No worries.

I was given a free upgrade to a bigger room which was really delightful. The room was relatively clean with 2 free bottles of water provided for consumption. The hotel is just opposite of the 2 big shopping malls after clearing Malaysia customs but it was a little difficult to find the shortest route to the hotel. Overall a decent stay for the price but could be better.

1. The check in time is after 3pm and we arrived at 5pm. A day before a personnel from the hotel has called to confirmed on our booking and I have mentioned that we will be arriving before 5pm. But as we arrived our rooms are still not available. We traveled with elderly and we have to wait for almost 45 minutes until they upgraded us to Executive floor.
2. The room was clean except for the poor condition of the quilt cover. It has torn and the pillow cover abit smelly. Not sure if it has been changed before we checked in
3. Despite all the staff are friendly and kind

Excellent location as far as proximity to komtar and shopping mall.
Great place to stay if you have to commute to Singapore.
Could do better on maintenance of rooms.

First and foremost I would like to thank Ms Karolina for her fantastic hospitality. She is very pro-active and have an eye for details.
She did her level best to accommodate to our needs for a change of rooms with minimum hassle. She surprised my daughter with Complimentary Cakes with a Happy Birthday wordings written on the plate. That was a perfect example of "going the extra mile" for all the staffs to follow. I stayed in room 935, the HSKP attendant that did my room, clean it superbly. Thank you so much for the great experience.
We'll definitely be coming back to the hotel again.

I have 3 rooms booked and had request that my sister who is on another floor be put close to my room. I was told the hotel was full and front desk can only move us the next day. The room opposite mine checked out and yet front desk did not inform me of the vacancy and move my sister's room.
My room was very warm that it was difficult to sleep at night. The problem could not be rectified even after 3 visits from maintenance. Called the front desk no answer so I went down to reception to tell them the problem. They told me that they can change all the rooms since the air-con is hot. And yet they didn't update me on the change of room till I checked out. I have called the operator many times during my stay for various reasons and I find the standard of service unacceptable. Understandable that the building is old an there are bound to be such problems, but the service staff should at least update the guests on how are they doing in trying to make the stay comfortable.

excellent hospitality starting from the concierge until the receptions. Even the breakfast staffs were all excellent. This was my first to book directly with the hotel because usually I used Agoda etc.
Room of improvement could be :
1. more selections of breakfast spread.
2. repeat/loyal customer i.e me :) should be given better price or package.
3. simple slides at the pool.

Room was spacious, well-kept and with a view (princess deluxe room). Counter staff was friendly and helpful. Environment was nice. Located near city square mall and food streets. Recommended if booked early with cheap rates.

Went to kai cuan chinese restaurant. The ambiance was nice. The only problem is that there's not much choice of beverages... but overall, food are great

A higher end Hotel situated very near the JB CIQ, City Square and Komtar. A little dated, requiring renovation. Basic necessity in room, without hand towels, and no bath robes. Internet is very slow.

Besides this place being old, check in was a breeze and i got a free upgrade. Preferred a room close to the lift and was given. Overall friendly experience but hotel really needs refurbishment.

The carpark & lift are inconvenient. We went to the halal dimsum & it's the worst restaurant I have been to. The food took ages to reach our table, it's dim sum for god's sakes it doesnt make sense that dim sum needs so much time to prepare. The staffs are not properly trained.

Overall good but do need to have more attention to detail inside the room. First day check in there was hand towel inside the bathroom but no face towel. Second day there was face towel but hand towels were not replaced. Floor trap under the vanity counter was loose and shower head rubber washer was faulty and water was seeping out. What more can I say?

Worst hotel I've ever been. They said there's 24H room service for food. But when i want to order the food, they won't cooperate. WORST :)

We waited two hours to check in, the room was "being cleaned" until 3pm. Overall pretty good value and prime location. Nice breakfast!

Near to JB City Square Mall. Both interior and exterior looks kinda old, but everything was functional. An advice when using any tap in the rooms. Let it run for a few minutes to let the muddy water out. Check in was kinda slow, and strictly at 3pm only. Breakfast and in room dining (at own cost) was good. A good place to stay whenever in JB.

Big and old but relatively clean and well kept hotel. Can see it used to be grand. There's a famous dim sum restaurant here. Rather pricey though. The swimming pool is very old.

this hotel is a few minutes walk from the Malaysia JB checkpoint.
Very convenient as it is nearby the shopping center. I stayed here recently during the holidays & we have some issues with the checking in part.
we were told that we are only allowed to check in after 3pm as there are a lot of guest checking out and the housekeeper will need turn down the room before we check in. I totally understand their situation as i work in a hospitality industry before, but there were some impatient guest that day & they create nuisance right at the front desk as they were frustrated with the late check in. maybe the hotel management will do something about this to avoid any unhappy guest. for me i couldnt ask for more cause they upgraded our stay to suite. it was a nice experience for me & i will sure stay at this hotel the next time i visit JB. The puteri pacific Johor keep up the good service & i know you can improve better.

"Poor service & Poor command of English Language"
This is the 1st time I check in on 22 Jan &check out on 23 Jan 2016.Stayed with my family & relatives for 1 day tired to go back to Singapore.Check in on 22 Jan 2016 and was served by the staff whose name Fadzliana at reception counter.check out 23 Jan 2016, we were served by the Manager on reception counter the name is Mohd Shah Othman.The staff who attended Fadzliana still on training new staff. She & the other staff Farah still on training.Both of them couldnt speak,read or write English.This would be the last time that im booking this hotel to stay when i visited with my family to JB. The Staff customer service is unsatisfactorily and the staff there is poor communication in English.The 2 new staffs on training Farah and Fadzliana did not have a proper training and during the hiring selection criteria or during the interview, why the hotel interviewer did not asked any qns regarding whether they know how to speak English Language?Because if there just place the 2 new staffs who is under training but they coulnt speak English,it will be hard for both the hotel staff and the hotel guest (Foreigner) because they couldnt communicated with each other properly.I strongly will not encouraged the other traveller to book on this hotel again.
