Compared to The Cube this place is better in every way. The showers work very well and there are more then enough. Breakfast is unexpectedly compared to other places. The top beds are easy to access as well. The only negative is that the pods are not fully shaded, so you always have some light shining in.

Clean bed, bathroom and other common spaces. Friendly staff. Front desk opens 24 hours. I would have given a 5 🌟 when I would have received the lower bed compartment. Bus stop just in front of the hostel and train station only a few minutes away. Restaurants and attractions are plenty in your surroundings. It's Bugis, it's Singapore.

Pros: low price, decent location, friendly staff, have washer machine on site.
Cons: if you are a light sleeper, you will likely have trouble getting a good night rest. The walls are very thin and there is essentially no sound proofing. Overnight there can be people checking in late, people talking, people setting extremely early and obnoxious alarms and keeps on pressing the snooze button. So, just be aware of that. The hotel should have a better policy in place for noise level of guests.

We booked this venue for a foreign guest. The facilities were great. Each pod was more spacious than we imagined, even having abundant shelves to store your items. As expected the showers are communal, but clean. Worth booking if you don't mind capsule style backpacker's inns.

The staff here is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good. Place is very clean and tidy! And some of the most comfortable a beds and soft sheets!

One improvement can be installing new door stoppers so the doors don't slam every time someone enters or leaves. This is feedback from a lot of backpackers.

In all, I highly recommend this plCe

Very good resting hostel if you like exploring natural areas (hiking or walking a lot) in Singapore, for example when you are tired and you need warm and soft bed, the Pod is a good accommodation. Refreshing morning.

Staffs are also helpful and polite. They keep the rooms clean. So many facilities you deserve to get with a reasonable price.

I found The Pod to be very well located amongst a assortment of restaurants and a walking distance to Arab Street and Little India.
The accommodation itself was of a high standard comparative to the price, clean and air-conditioned with a respectable clientele. I would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone who is looking at experiencing a capsule hotel.

Very clean, helpful staff, good wifi, amazing showers, and best of all, free laundry. Breakfast is very basic. I appreciate that shoes aren't allowed in the dorm and bathroom areas.

SoLo Traveler....This place is just what I needed it was clean the beds were comfortable and I felt safe. I had a top bunk the bottom bunk go fast! The bathrooms were clean considering it's a public bathroom you will get some sort of dirt .. the staff is friendly and it's close to the MRT just a few blocks. It's just what I needed.

A great place for backpacker. Nice room, nice bed, cozy hostel, and very strategic place, close to Bugis, Arab Street and Esplanade! And very clean, neat shower room

Location wise- great. Tight Security starting from the entrance. The capsule itself is spacious but I'm not favouring the locker storage since I was place at the top capsule. Would be much easier to have my own locker on top (certain capsule hotel do provide it). Friendly receptionist. Bathroom is very privacy and clean and large.
I also wish they could be really strict about no unpacking activities after 10pm cause it's really disturbing.

The Queen “Suite“ were really small and definitely not quite! It was always smelly and the air was stifling inside of the pods! All the pods were connected via openings above the doors so no privacy at all and also you could hear/smell everything from your neighbours. When asking they don't recommend you anything else but their own expensive offers (sightseeing tours,...). Breakfast itself was okay but coffeemashines were not working most of the times and you must be lucky to get a plate. If you combine this with the limited time span of the breakfast (last refill at 9 am) it's getting quite frustrating to wait for everything. The WiFi was pretty good.
All in all there is no reason to pay so much money for a private pod!

The place is okay because we only stayed there to sleep. There are plenty of eateries around. The bus stop is in front of the hotel. Although the toilet and bath are shared, the place is always clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, willing to assist you anytime.Overall i rate the plate and staff excellent!

This hostel provides so many amenities that other hostels don't. The only potential downside depending on your personality is that most people keep to themselves and are not too interested in sparking conversation in the common area, but for me that was a plus. They do try to market themselves as serving business people/executives, but I don't recommend it, even if they do have work pods so you can focus. It's a great place to stay in Singapore!

I recommend staying at another Pod hotel in Chinatown, the staff is much more friendly there. This one has good bathrooms, but the smell in the dorm is horrible, it's a mixture of chemical smell and human smell, AC didn't take the smell away. If you like warm color, you probably would prefer the other one in Chinatown as well, this one on Beach Rd has everything painted in black or dark gray, rather depressing. Plus the Chinatown one is cheaper and closer to MRT AND amazing vegan Chinese food!

Louie Girouard (11/06/2017 15:30)
hotel was clean. room was noisy but that was to be expected with it being more of a dorm than a pod. overall decent experience.

Marius Volkhart (19/05/2017 17:34)
Really clean. Breakfast is pleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything feels very modern

My wife and I stayed at The Pod for a labor day weekend vacation. We we're originally hesitant to try a capsule hotel being on the taller side, but have chosen the queen size pod found it to be both relatively spacious and comfortable. We would stay here again and recommend to others, especially given it's close proximity to many tourist attractions and restaurants.

Timmy Matlock (16/04/2017 16:44)
It's more of a hostel than a proper capsule hotel but it does offer superior privacy to most hostels. Amenities are perfectly acceptable.

A good place to stay if you're traveling solo in Singapore. The beds are comfortable, and you'll have a plug point, light, towel rack, hook and clothes hanger. Side-opening pods are better! Access rooms and lockers with your key card. Total privacy is possible, but might be dependent on the other guests in your room. The bathrooms are very clean and well-maintained; there's always hot water and you can ask for a free dental kit at the reception. Staff were helpful and friendly. A decent breakfast spread is available in the morning, and the staff are very proactive during this time. Wonderful experience!

Great budget capsule hotel. Would've given it a perfect score if only the blinds covering the beds were not see through

Anggi Partabrata (30/03/2017 01:00)
Cozy place with medium price. Totally worth it! I love the classy vibes. They also provide a mini work space with laptop.

sai varun (17/03/2017 02:44)
Cheap , friendly service , very neat capsule hotel. The capsules are well maintained and comfortable . They even do ticketing services at a discounted price.
My only let down was lack of any socialization, everybody just minds their own business , which is kind of a let down for solo travellers who wish to meet new people.

Vaishali Gupta (06/02/2017 10:11)
Amazing place, super clean and hygienic, good breakfast, well thought interiors, privacy in pods, all in all awesome experience

Chun-Ta Kung (22/01/2017 17:40)
It is not fancy as you can read from the name of the hotel. But it is clean enough and comfortable for a great sleep. The front is friendly and offers great info about trip and transportation. Also, it has a bus stop just in front of the building. Mrt station need a small walk by 5-10 mins but good enough to reach everywhere in singapore. The closest station is bugis and only one station away from city hall mrt. Nearby there are attractions like haji lane, sultan mosque, and Arab st where you could find night life and lounge bars every evening. Pretty safe and diverse.

Room features simple and clean layout. Hotel situated walking distance to MRT station and right behind famous tourist spot, Haji Lane.

Nice cosy rooms. Clean and modern bathroom facilities. Air con works good. Great location. Can't complain at all!

nalin sugathapala (15/08/2016 06:24)
The pod is small but great value for money. For a seasoned traveler it has all that you can ask for and more. A great breakfast is complementary and i was told that the facility to wash your clothes is also available for free. All in all a great place!

FAME NIWIT S. (13/08/2016 17:18)
Very nice hostel!! Worth the money. The pod is enough for a person. Doesnt feel crowded at all. The soundproof is bad. Still can hear others people snoring even people using hairblow outside. But compare to bunk bed dorm hostel. This is much better. The toilet is very good. They have shower, toilet and sink in the same private room for u. Can be a bit busy at some point of time. The toilet can get messy sometimes especially after busy hour. Clearly they need to clean it more often. Or they need to hire more maid. They will change your bedsheet every 3 days for long-stay guest. Towel will be changed everyday. And the location is the best. The bus stop in right in front of the hostel. I am more of a bus person than mrt so it is very convenient to go around.

Really great place to spend the night. Quite, Clean and fresh. Just for the towel, remember you only get that in the morning at 6 am, if you want to take a bath at night when you arrived you must bring you own towel. When arrived you will get a drink of mineral water.

Vince Halim (07/06/2016 00:49)
It's my 1st time stay at a hostel. After all, they got a great bed in a small space but it's comfortable like own room. Because of sharing toilet, you know you have to be able to accept anyone else mess after they use. Not far from Bugis MRT station Downtown line exit. Good location, easy for food because fine dining café's around.

Absolutely worth the money paid!

having have to come to singapore alone the past few times, this place is really worth the money. I don't have to spend the 100 bucks for a hotel room that I will only use for sleeping, and I get a place that is clean, cheap, and has privacy.

Was skeptical about capsule hotels and budget hotels in the first place. I was afraid I would feel like I am in a casket when staying in a capsule hotel, and I always see these budget hostels lumping in 8 strangers in bunk beds - I am thoroughly uncomfortable at the thought that anyone can watch me sleep and do stuff I would never know #heavysleeper

The 'pods' are surprisingly comfortable and spacious. It had a minidesk and a universal charger, lighting was sufficient, the room was properly air conditioned, the 2 pillows they gave us was fluffy, bathrooms are clean, hairdryer working properly etc. And you actually get privacy even though you are sharing with 11 other people in the room. Wifi was fast, the business pods they let you use for work and calls is comfortable, service was great, AND you also get breakfast! oh and a bottle of water every morning. laundry is free too.

10/10 would stay here again when I go to singapore next.
