This cafe is in the community centre itself and can be spotted easily. Parking should not be an issue as there are HDB carparks around the area. Otherwise, the cafe is easily reached by bus from the MRT station.
I had the breakfast set with scrambled eggs. The food was nicely plated and colourful. Everything was delicious.
Staff were also very friendly.

Nice cozy Cafe in the heartlands. The sticky date pudding, Thai ice tea and artisan coffee are a must-try! Excellent service is the icing on the cake.

Staff was very very nice and helpful, especially helping with organizing the seating because it was a bit crowded. The food was very good. I didn't get the coffee and opted for Thai Tea. It is bit expensive and prebottled but it is so good. Good to bring laptop to work, but no plug or wifi.

Awesome quaint cafe. Love how they serve their tea in a cute teapot

Sooooo nice place, with casual mood. Wanna go every weekends, because it serves so fresh and delicate foods, and the workers are just so kind. People come here to eat, chat, or study. One thing missing is wifi, and a plug. But still I saw many people bringing their laptop and working here, drinking a cup of coffee :)

I'm reviewing this based on their listing ad a cafe - they were brave enough to even put coffee in their title. The latte was terrible. And $5. The barrista also didn't know how to make a macchiato but could do espresso and latte (macchiato isn't on their menu). The food menu looks good so I'd go back to try the food but avoid the coffee... oh except I saw the chef sitting in the back picking his nose through their slit window. The cafe has a nice vibe though, not too many tables so I guess crowded on the weekend.

[2ND VISIT]
I can always count on Playground Coffee for delicious brunches.
What I like about the Sous-vide Eggs Benedict ($15 - only available on weekends) & Hearty Breakfast ($16) is that they come with a whole host of sides. I value variety over quantity so that works out perfectly for me. I personally prefer the former because I am not a fan of sausages & bacon.. But the sides are pretty similar, so it's all about your preference.
& of course, my favourite cup of Magic ($5) - I love it because it has less milk (¾ the usual amount). They've changed the beans since I last visited, but still lovely & gets a thumbs up from me!
[1ST VISIT]
Food & coffee was excellent & I already can't wait to try the rest of the menu (which, btw, you can find on their Facebook page). Service was with a smile & I felt very comfortable having brunch there. Was asked how the food was, which I very much appreciate - but somehow (for once) I had no constructive criticism because I really enjoyed every bite of it. 😂
Coffee: Flat White ($5) + Magic ($5). Y'all know what the former is; the latter is the same but with less milk (¾ the usual amount). The flavours are very robust 👍
Mains: Salmon Grain Bowl ($16) + Sausage & Baked Eggs ($12). The grain bowl was awesome - moist salmon, perfect sous vide egg, & the grains (barley & quinoa) were quite filling. The other sides like 大头 beansprouts, pickled cabbage, balsamic mushrooms were also very complementary.
Sausage & Baked Eggs reminded me of shakshuka but with less spices & herbs! Great tangy tomato sauce (home-made, apparently), amazing toasted multigrain bread. The yogurt makes it more tangy, so give the original sauce a taste first before mixing everything together.
Dessert: Death's Nectar ($8). The vanilla ice cream itself is nothing to shout about, but it goes well with the super moist dark chocolate ganache cake. Not too sweet & there are 4 slices, which is great for sharing (or eating on your own MUAHAHA).

Will come again.

Not alot of people on a saturday evening. The music is a little tad too loud, but definitely is a place to visit if you want a cafe that is not too crowded. The Sticky Date Pudding (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream) is too sweet. Since it is such a hot day, we decided to get the Golden Tropic Smoothie and Berryfruit Smoothie. Both were too milky for my liking (still prefer Boost).

Great food at affordable price.
Cosy place to hang out, if only the place is more spacious. Staffs is courteous too.

Nice cosy place with good coffee and great tasting and healthy food. Portion can be bigger though for the price.

Food are nice. Coffee and tea is also one of the best I had tasted. A nice café in a heartland area. Space are a bit of problem though; if the place is filled up then it could be on a high side for noise level.

Excellent! The mushroom aglio olio and sweet potato fries couldn't taste better. Prices are reasonable. Ventilation is a problem and since it's an indoor cafe, the space reeks of hot oil at any time. Otherwise, it's a gem in the heartlands!
