Nice place to chill and hang out with friends. They've got a range of interesting cake selection. Limited sofe seats for bigger groups. Decent coffee.

As others have said, this is a decent cafe but not a destination.
With so many other options it is rarely high on my list.

I was there for tea & cake. Pretty decent. As for the main course, no comments but will go back to try. Nice ambience.

Its a good place to read but while the food descriptions look good I wouldn't recommend you eat there.
Don't eat the FOOD unless the other cafes nearby are full and you have plenty of time (you WILL have to wait...)
Like 100 other crappy cafes they microwave the bread and pastries so they're hard and chewy after 30 secs of fetching them (no table service, or indeed service at all)
The sausage, sounds good but they boil it or something instead of grilling/ frying so it looks kinda gross. and slather ketchup.all over the breakfast whether you want it or not. growl growl. The portbello mushroom burger was so drenched in some sauce the base was like a sponge
After that I gave up on the food.
COFFEE
Small and large are the same size but for extra shot, if you want a bigger drink order 2 drinks - you may have to wait some time for this. Why it takes 10 minutes to make a coffee I have no idea
They would make more money with table service I always seem to be thinking 'oh maybe I'll get that as well' or "maybe I'll get another coffee/juice" but can never be bothered to get up, sit down, wait, for the painfully slow staff to put a pastry/cake on a plate, buzz me, then get up again to fetch it.
Why do I keep coming back?
It's nearby house and It IS a good place to study as there's rarely too many peeps and the music is chill.

Small shop with limited food choices. Food was alright, nothing fantastic. Breakfast roll is just a sausage bun with sautéed mushroom. For a safe choice, choose Shepherd's pie beef. Self service. Mocha costs $4.50 whereas Iced Mocha costs $7, so its $2.50 for the ice. Prices considered quite steep for the food portion.

Decent cafe. one of the 1st few cafes that popped up during the initial phase of gentrification of Tiong Bahru. still surviving

Ok food, coffee could be a lot better.

With Tiong Bahru being one of the latest hipster places to be, many cafes and bookshops have popped up in this area and Orange Thimble got to be one of the earlier start ups. Having visited once before years ago, I had a rather great impression of the place due to its nice ambience for little gatherings.
A second visit recently has proved that its dessert and ice cream weren't as delicious as I thought it would be, and the chai tea latte was a little more watery than I would have preferred. The shepherd's pie was not bad, but I'd suggest you only come here for the ambience, not the food.
