Seeked second opinion, and found out wrong diagnosis was given. Was also told my puppy had a 50% chance of survival, and that we had to mentally prepared. Told to leave her for hospitalization but so glad we took her back. Came back and puppy was doing fine, even better. Not recommend at all.
Will not visit ever again.

Spent over a thousand dollars in hospitalization fees and medication for my male cat, who originally went in for a blocked bladder.
Vet told my family that my cat was going to DIE, so my mother quickly forced the staff to discharge my cat, who upon reaching home was suddenly much better. (He was vomiting and constantly groggy and salivating while hospitalised). The clinic had the cheek to send us a card a week later sending their condolences for our 'dead' cat who was happily lying down with his belly up.
Will never visit again.

My PUPPY DIED WITHIN 10 HOURS AFTER VISITING VET CLINIC!
My 2+ months toy poodle puppy (name: Teddy) vomitted 5 times on the morning of 30th November 2016 and we decided to bring it to the nearest vet. We brought him to THE JOYOUS VET and the vet DR CLARE KOH attended to Teddy.
After we told her the problems of Teddy, the vet did her routine check on it (e.g temp taking, hearing to his body using a stethoscope & checking of his gums).
We told her that Teddy only vomitted and he did not have diarrhea at all. DR CLARE KOH then told us she needs to do a PRAVO & DISTEMPER TEST for Teddy. We agreed and she did the test. She got the results about 30 minutes later and it shown NEGATIVE for PRAVO & DISTEMPER! We told her that Teddy already had his 1st vaccine done and was due to do his 2nd vaccine in 2 days time. She did not even bothered to give him an anti-vomitting jab to stop his vomit, even though she mentioned Teddy vomitted twice in her clinic during the test in the clinic. That means Teddy vomitted 7 times by 1.35pm. But I trusted her professional judgment and I thought vet knows what best for our furkids!
She prescribed 2x cans of HILL'S SCIENCD CANINE/FELINE A/D 5.5OZ, 1 bottle of VITAMIN B COMPLEX 30ML and 1 bottle of ZANTAC SYRUP 30ML. Instructions were given on the feeding and we left the clinic about 1.40pm. We immediately went to our car and fed him the 2 medicines via syringe. That is because we need to feed him about 1/4 can of prescribed dog food 15 minutes after medicine. We reached home and fed him the food 15 minutes after the medicine. Teddy had no appetite and we feed him a few mouthful using a tiny spoon and a few syringes of water as well. After that, we put Teddy in his cage to rest. About 3 hours later, Teddy puked. We cleaned him up and gave him some water and he went back to rest. At about 8.30pm, Teddy puked BLOOD! By then, I called the clinic and informed them but they said they were closing. I called a housecall vet instead and they came over at about 9.30pm. By then Teddy had puked about 3 times of blood. He was very weak, lying motionless and he passed faeces. The housecall vet realised his vomit and faeces had a strong foul smell and suspected it was PRAVO! REMEMBER DR CLARE KOH JUST TESTED HIM NEGATIVE OF PRAVO FEW HOURS BACK? The housecall vet tested and it indicate POSITIVE! The housecall vet took a few hours to save him but to NO AVAIL! The housecall vet asked me why did DR CLARE KOH not give Teddy a anti-vomitting jab? It might save his tiny life!
Teddy might have been filled with PRAVO VIRUSES at the vet clinic. Remember he was tested negative at the clinic and tested positive few hours later at home.
And take note that we did not bring Teddy downstairs for walks as he is a small puppy who is vulnerable to the contagious viruses!
I REGRETTED MY DECISION OF BRINGING HIM TO THE JOYOUS VET!
AND FYI, DR CLARE KOH talked to me over the phone, brushing me off saying Teddy might have gotten PRAVO WHEN HE WAS BORN OR WHEN THE SELLER SOLD IT TO ME! My replies to her was that Teddy had taken his 1st vaccine and that if he had caught PRAVO earlier when he was born or when I bought him, he would have died then. A normal dog would have died within 5 days let alone A PUPPY!
I JUST WANT TO SHARE MY UNFORTUNATE INCIDENT HERE AND I HOPE YOU ALL UNDERSTAND THAT PRAVO VIRUSES CAN THRIVE IN A CLINIC OR HOME FOR 9 MONTHS, YES 9 MONTHS! GO AT YOUR OWN RISK! DONT RISK YOUR DOG'S HEALTH!
Thanks for taking time to read my review. This is definitely tragic for my family.
Choose your pet's veterinian wisely.

Although the doctors are nice and friendly, I personally think that they specialise on bigger animals and not on smaller animals such as hamsters.
I went to the joyous vet few years ago and brought my pet hamster as she needs clipping of tooth and her gums are very red. I returned home with a bottle of fluid that the doctor had prescribed for my pet but it was no use. After a few devastating weeks my hamster died.

I don't usually write a review, but I am really impressed and grateful to Dr. Wong Chuan Ning! She is the only vet that I trust completely - she is meticulous, caring, assuring and most importantly, she provides her professional recommendation on the best treatment for your pet and advices on alternative treatment if you have doubts and uncertainties.
Even my dog responds the best to Dr. Wong, as he knows he is always in good hands with her! I highly recommend Dr. Wong, because she will always have your pets' interests at heart.

Had been a frequent customer with TJV in the past due to the good services and also good vets. recently their standards plunged. Vets are mostly too young and inexperienced but some are hardworking + willing to learn. Dr Grace Heng is the Vet you can trust there.
service has since dropped, with long waiting time and lousy system that jams up all the time. some nurses are also not very experienced and has pretty bad attitude as well. most are alright and are nice but well, some arent. TJV has also started calling up pet owners daily to remind them the total "bill" of the day - asking for money.
initially this review mentioned about a certain vet who left us a very bad impression resulting in this bad review, however all of a sudden there are a couple of "damage control" new reviews popping up after my review of that particular vet, defending that particular vet which is odd.
but since we would be speaking to the management soon, we would be removing the said vet's name.

Dr Grace Heng is a very humble, patient and understanding vet. Thumbs up. Dr Katelin Tan though rather new has a sharp learning curve but she tries her utmost best and is patient in handling enquires; also her bubbly nature at an insane 10pm. Most vet techs are patient and understanding.
With these, one complaint - Dr Wong. She keeps throwing her "years of experience" and groundwork done at me. Used jargons. With this background, I expected better than her over-presccription of fluids that caused a death; left a heart murmur undiagnosed and ignored respiratory distress saying it's common. Well it isn't - cat died. Had the other surviving cat on other 3 different opinions at 3 different vets who ALL came to the same conclusion. I hate a vet throwing jargons - I'm lucky to have the background to understand. But what about others?
On top of that, she threw files and huffed and was completely unprofessional.

Recently saw dr Wong Chuan Ning. Extremely helpful and friendly with such a caring bed side manner. Experienced beyond her years. Treated our fur baby like her own. Her love for animals was really evident. Keep up the great work and passion in your profession. An absolute asset to the clinic. Thank you once again

Dr C N Wong is the best Vet you would get.
She's highly trained and experienced and really knows her stuff. She's a senior at Joyous Vet and The most down to earth vet we have met. We also find her to be very careful and detailed with her diagnosis. Requesting you to do test before prescribing medication all for the benefit of your fur baby. I think this is the best approach as it reduces any possible side effects. Most vets would just skip the test and see the 'problem' like a generic one and just go yup, antibiotics -10 days . We find her to be very informative and super helpful. She definitely is a very dedicated vet and a super good one too. Your pet is in good hands with Dr Chuan Ning Wong

Caring, patient and knowledgeable vets. They are the vets for my 2 dogs. Charges reasonable compared to many other vets.
