They have a good selection of #cakes, and I mean really good with fabulous like their Diva Series of Kathy Perry (that’s how they named it!), Tina Turner, Beyoncé and Lady Marmalade (which I had, see photo).

My first visit, it was exquisite. Huge portions of comfort food (Chicken and Waffles, Lovely Eggs Ben) and cake is lovely. Maybe the order took a while but I didn’t notice because I was chatting with friends!

Second visit for coffee and cake it took longer than usual. It took 15 mins for them to serve us our drinks and another 5 mins to serve us our cake.

Simply #fabulous but...

Customer service: 2/5

Food quality: 4.5/5

Value for money: 3/5

This place is as fabulous as it sounds!I had a cake and a tea here, and the cake was absolutely delicious! Didn't managed to take a photo of it, but, so yummmm! The atmosphere is really good, with glass panes, lots of greenery and natural light. There's also music playing in the background, it creates a nice ambiance and is still quiet enough to get work done. This place is just a 2 minutes walk from fort canning station and 15 mins from plaza sing. Will definitely want to go there again to try some other cakes!

Very nice place! We came for breakfast and it was really tasty and fresh. Great coffee, too! The cakes looked fabulous, but we didn't get to try them!

Came at wrong timing... the kitchen is already closed so have to settle for cakes.. The cakes is a bit too dry for our liking... The gent at the next table asked one of the staff what is the Fab Ice Tea... the answer? "It's tea with ice"... I would be coming back...

Went for a girls brunch on a Saturday. The French toast and lamb sausage were fantastic. They also have excellent espresso. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and never made us feel rushed as we chatted and took our time deciding. Will have to.go back to test out their lovely cake selection!

Fantastic if you like sourdough! Eggs Benny were pretty and tasted great but salad could be improved. Coffee was good quality but not noteworthy.

After hearing so much about this place, I finally dropped by on a Thursday morning for breakfast. Well worth the trip. And the walk through Fort Canning park to get to this place is the icing on the cake - a short walk, but a breath of fresh air nonetheless.

Our group had the banana-walnut French toast, the smoked salmon eggs Benedict, raspberry pancakes, and all were AWESOME.

We renamed the French toast, “French doughnut “, for example, because of the perfect blend of sweetness and softness that welcomed every bite. The pancakes were fluffy with a tang of raspberries and a perfect hint of maple syrup, and the eggs were perfectly done over salmon and sourdough.

Service was polite, prompt, and courteous, though we did have some “lost in translation” issues with few of the servers, but nothing major. Part of the experience.

I would definitely recommend this place.

Good but not fabulous

The Eggs Benedict were nicely cooked, and the orange juice freshly squeezed (although served with way too much ice). Coffee good but not memorable. The service was a little wayward but they were friendly and helpful. Prices definitely on the high side.

Overall a nice place to visit if you're nearby, but not one that I'll go out of way to visit again.

Read reviews and decided to make up my own mind. I had the big fry up - amazing! Both quality of produce, taste and presentation. Service was lovely and friendly too. Will be back with crew

Fabulous baker and a wonderful host who shares his passion for fine cakes, bread and meals. Definite place to replenish your calories when in Singapore. You can also walk the calories off by visiting the nearby Canning Park above the hubbub of SIngapore. cheers Bob & Debbie, London ON Canada

Wow ! Hands down FIREEE pancakes :) A must try if you are in the area for breakfast. The owner is actually also the chef. He is very nice big jolly guy you can't miss him. He even came over to check how I enjoyed the pancakes! Also amazing fresh pressed apple juice!

FBB has the BEST.PANCAKES.EVER I've yet to find any other cafe that comes close. Their corned beef is also excellent! Admittedly service can be slow but it's worth the wait in my opinion! They don't have the best coffee but there's an excellent selection of freshly baked cakes !

I think the food is decent but I wouldn't go out of the way to eat here. Im probably biased in this review because I had to wait really long for my order of lamb shank when almost everyone else is finishing up. To be fair, the lamb shank was really tender and the tendons falls off easily from the bone.

Love the atmosphere, quite special place and food was delicious. Staff could be better trained, waiter said they didn't have wifi at first and then the owner kindly gave me the password.

We went to this restaurant yesterday and had great service with Jeff. However, we returned today and had a terrible experience with Jayne. The restaurant had many tables available and she refused our request to sit at a table with 4 chairs, claiming that she was waiting for a party of 5. She made us sit in the only 2 person table with 2 stools, mind you my husband is 6'4 and I'm 5'8 we need a little extra space. Next, she took our order but refused my request of chicken (this wasn't a problem the previous day, when Jeff served us. However, we went too early yesterday and the chicken was not yet available.) To make matters worse, Jayne brought us the bill immediately after our order was placed. We still had not even received our drinks and especially not our meal. We looked around and no one else in the table had their bills on their table but they had their food or were waiting for it. When we finally got our meal, brought to us by the owner we shared with him our complaint, he said it was his policy to drop off the bill immediately but again, no one else had their bill except us. He apologized and said he would give us a slice of cake, but neither he or anyone else returned to check on us or on how our meal was. Mind you, they take a 10% tip for absolutely terrible service. In regards to the food, my chicken was just okay but as I got to the center I notified that it was undercooked and still had blood inside. After we ate, my husband went to pay at the counter and we left. Neither my husband or myself will EVER return to this place nor would I recommend it to any tourist. We felt discriminated against as a America minority tourists and prefer to take our money elsewhere. Please see pictures with time stamps attached.

Very bad experience, we had a reservation but the restaurant didn't have it, the temperature was so cold and we had to wait 1 hour to be served. One of the dishes wad served cold, no idea of why that happened... Our children were even served last. I give 2 stars because the waiter finally apologized and offered a piece of cake to my daughter as it was her birthday.

Offers cold and warm drinks. Even has gluten free cakes. I ordered gluten free carrot cake. Very polite staff. Very nice location and setting.

sidie daz (28/05/2017 09:16)
Cake variety was good, the two we tasted were good. But we got there at 4.30 and we couldn't get a coffee because they closed at 5. Overall experience was very average.

I must add another 5 star rating for Famous Baker Boys! I loved the breakfast feast I ate here! I ordered eggs, beef bacon (the portion was huge!), toast and baked beans.

The service was quick and very pleasant.

Great place for friends, families with kids and treating your parents for a tummy breakfast.

Make sure to leave room for a slice of 🎂!

Spoilt for choice with the wide variety of cakes. The Takeshi-San (black sesame) was really good. Will have to come back soon to try the other cakes.

Swen George (09/04/2017 05:25)
Came here for desserts and I wasn't disappointed. A lot selection of cakes that will leave you confused if you have to narrow it down. Couple that with the spacious and modern feel a little distanced from the road, I'd say we have a winner.

The best cafe I've been to thus far. Delicious food that gives off a homely dish feel. Fantastic and attentive service by the staff who are always so polite.

Enjoy casual dining with fabulous foods at The Fabulous Baker Boy. Chef Juwanda offers freshly baked delicious cakes, delectable sandwiches and marvellous main course dishes. Tucked in a quiet corner below Fort Canning Park, this cafe/restaurant is a perfect getaway for those who prefer a casual, quiet dining experience.

Great service and delicious food. The pancakes, Ju's prawn pasta, & strawberry lemon yogurt cake keeps me coming back. I recommend the Kampung pot pie!

Ilisha Ramachandran (15/01/2017 06:07)
I really enjoyed the food here. The reason I've given it four stars and not five is because we received two out of four dishes first, then had to wait more than 20 minutes for the other two dishes to arrive. They should have brought all dishes together. Service in general wasn't very good at all.

Their eggs Benedict is tasty and is not served on the traditional English muffin but a piece of fresh bread instead which gives it a nice local touch. Their sandwiches are nice but take a significant time longer to arrive which is why they should ask whether we want all our food at once or staggered. Their grilled cheese is a little boring, maybe some caramelised onions would make it better. Their cakes are really good!

Jamie C (25/12/2016 14:25)
made a reservation for 7 people there and they didn't tell us about a party held at the same time for about 30. so many food items were sold out including desert waffles and bread! we waited for 30mins for food only to be told to waited another 30mins more. we waited for 1.5h for all our food to come!!!! food was mediocre, not worth the price and definitely not worth the wait! and they only gave us ONE slice of complimentary cake for 7 people to share. we were not the only disappointed ones. some left after waiting for a long time too!!

Located inside the Fort Canning park, the ambience is cozy but on weekends it's not quiet.
Service could be improved.
Egg Benedict tastes alright but comes with no surprise. The Matcha shortcake tastes a bit bland.
So generally don't have any expectations for the food here.

Loved the atmosphere both inside and outside this place! The staff were so kind, friendly, and helpful. I'd give this place more than five stars if I could!

Very good value for money. Not busy. Nice music. It is a clean, cozy and quiet place with tasty cakes and big breakfasts. I tried blueberry cake and eggy breakfast with salmon. Perfect brunch.

I had the pleasure to visit this little cafe at the foot of fort canning. I was surprised by the variety of cakes available. We had the nutty monkey and the macha green tea cake. The cakes were packed with flavours and it is obvious that the baker doesn't stinge on the use of his ingredients. The nutty monkey had a rich chocolate layer that is balanced by the saltiness and nuttiness of the peanut butter. The macha cake was so refreshing. It is light and moist. The green tea sponge, azuki beans and fresh cream complemented each other to make this cake irrestible.... overall a fabulous experience!

James Hall (27/07/2016 12:16)
Ordered a selection of cake slices. For the price I had high expectations but the cakes were average and quite dry (one of the cakes was almost stale - only good for trifle at that stage). Flavours were there but not strong and the cakes definitely lacked richness that I would expect. Texture of the cakes were all pretty much the same. The chocolate cake was particularly disappointing, I've had packet mix cakes that are more lush, moist and decadent.

Cheryl Lim (21/07/2016 15:38)
Nice place to hang out at in the Clarke Quay area, away from the crowds. They have a decent selection of cakes (portions are huge!) and pastas/mains. Prices are slightly steep though.

Thai Pham (12/06/2016 00:31)
I like the food. We were there for brunch and ordered spicy fried chicken with waffle and one baked salmon.

Despite the name, the cakes came out short of expectation. We ordered red velvet signature (with chocolate) and a strawberry shortcake. Both were a little dry. I couldn't taste cream cheese in the red velvet slice and the chocolate coating is a little too sweet. For the shortcake, the cake is not spongy and moist.

If you've got a sweet tooth, this is the place to be! Chef Juwanda's cakes, with their unique names, are absolutely divine!! Pair it off with your choice of coffee, YUM!! They also serve savoury food that's equally delicious!

Tip: When ordering their refrigerated cakes with your meal, have it delivered to your table ASAP. At room temperature, the sweet treat will taste even better!

Cool place to chill, in a little house on a hill. A setting you rarely find in a city like Singapore. While it takes a bit of effort to get there especially without a car, you can spend the entire afternoon catching up with friends. The cakes are set up beautifully and are huge in size! So value for money. the coffee is great as a pairing too

bunny shuya (07/05/2016 06:09)
Both their food and service were very very good. One of the best restaurants we have been in Singapore so far. There is some space for improvement for their mochas though... Their cakes and pasta were to die for!!!

Anja Waldner (27/04/2016 02:16)
nice little and cafe in the parc, calm location perfect to relax. The blueberry cupcakes were nice and the melt tuna sandwich was very good. Didnt had a chance to savor the cakes but they looked fantastic.
