Summry: great place
Ikan Goreng Cili Garam was perfect and Beef Rendang was tender & flavorful.
My mom was looking forward to the Telor Cinchaluk, but found it too light on the Cinchaluk.
Gula Melaka sago is a must have, and can skip the chendol

My second visit here and it was a hit again with my guests.
Prices are a little too high for the quality Peranakan cuisine served here, but it’s worth the money. The flavours are strong and the portions are reasonable. I didn’t really like the quality of fish Assam, but the beef rendang was to die for. That and the curry vegetable is a must order.
The shrimp sambal is as boring as it comes and should only be ordered if you love shrimp.
Service was prompt and the ambience was fantastic.

Fine dining peranakan restaurant serving authentic nonya dishes at reasonable prices. Staff r frdly n attentive. Excellent beef randang n ayam buah keluah. Otak is juicy with well balanced spices n fish favors. Other dishes r nice too n they serve durian chendol too. Wine r at reasonable prices despite with only a dozen of selection. Or u can BYO wine @$25++ corkage/bottle. They r popular n better book in advance.

Food is well cooked, try the curry fish head, fish is fresh and well cooked. The curry is on the sweeter side in case you prefer sour types.

My recommended pranakan restaurant. Really like the vibe and the food. Just make sure you make reservations in advance.

Very good food and good service too

Small Peranakan restaurant with a brief menu but every dish we tried was excellent. Strongly recommend. Had a few vegetarian options. Very friendly service.

Came with my family for a reunion meal. The service was good and I really like the curry fish head. Can't fault much on Peranakan cuisine! A little pricy thou.

Good restaurant with impressive menu and good service. However, my last visit was below average. Perhaps the chef was off--the quality of food was not as good as in previous visit. Hopefully it was an outlier.

Good peranakan food, brought my family here and everyone enjoyed it. Try the otak-otak, beef rendang, ayam keluak. Skip the cendol though, it isn’t great. One of the waiters was not very friendly, but the waitresses were very attentive and helpful.

Great place for Peranakan food. Most of the dishes hit the spot, go with a group so that you can try more of them. Service is prompt and professional.

The service team was superb, overall satisfied!! Recommended for nice peranakan food. Cendol is a must try dessert

Great place for good, peranakan food. Seating upstairs overlooking the main road is a bit noisy, but the decor is much better and traditional. Loved the vegetarian dishes too (ex: aubergines). The fish cakes in banana leaf was also excellent in flavour and aromas. Don't have much of a drinks menu - just house wines and beer.

Food and service are good. Great for small families. However if you are in a big group, it can get quite pricey. Recommend the otak and achar.

Service staff were excellent. Yummy archar (pickled vegetables), and excellent terong (deep fried eggplant with chilli). Rendang beef was very good too. Red ruby dessert was underwhelming.

Fantastic Peranakan restaurant with a good ambience. Traditional dishes that are updated, but not overly modern or different.
Calvin OnEarth (26/07/2017 15:10)
Nice ambiance, old shop house, decent food, small portions though.

Low key place with excellent Peranakan food. Service is great and you will need to book

Horrible experience trying to reserve a table for 5 at 2 pm. There was some Mr. Chia who was on the phone and slammed the phone down saying last order at 2.15 pm and kitchen closes at 3 pm. I haven't had such an experience ever. Will avoid this place no matter what the food is like. They need to be courteous.

Peranakan Legend
Very popular and well adored Peranakan restaurant in a shophouse in Tanjong Pagar. Expect bold yet homey flavors and lots of Peranakan classics
The Damage: S$25-35 per person
Ambience: Nice cozy shophouse setting. Service was slightly hard to find during our visit but they were however amiable
~~TRY😍:
// Ayam Panggang Blue Ginger [signature chicken]
// Juhu Kangkong
// Ngo Heong
// Udam Masak Assam Gulai [tasty sour broth]
~~OKAY🙂:
// Beef Rendang

Nice and cozy atmosphere. Good variety of food and tasty food. A little expensive for the small portion of food though
Teddy Japan (05/01/2017 12:34)
Very average. Ordered three foods, all taste the same. A little bit pricey for small portion. Disappointing.

Great ambiance but small place and limited seats. Serves Nonya Delicacies in small portions. Overall nice food. It is recommended to make a reservation beforehand.
Varun Nayyar (22/12/2016 08:06)
Eh, food wasn't bad, but eye waitress is a bit snooty. I wasn't blown away and probably wouldn't come back. They used cheap beef for their rendang so I don't think they're that great.
B Phang (23/11/2016 18:51)
Lovely peranakan food along a long row of historical shop houses. Nice ambience. Air condition.
Ray Kyo (02/10/2016 05:13)
Basically, it just an average restaurant. I doubt is there anything special here. If you work or live nearby could give it a try, otherwise it's not worth to take a effort to here. I personally think...
Graeme Merrall (12/09/2016 06:51)
A good mix of local cuisine and Peranakan food. Attentive service. The narrow building with seating over several floors gives it a small place intimacy.
Scott Savage (10/08/2016 02:28)
Great peranakan food. Candle nuts, fish, rendang were all excellent.
CHUA Chee Wee (02/08/2016 05:10)
Fantastic food but expensive!
Neerav Kumar (23/06/2016 13:19)
I think its an okay place and its quiet enough to have a meal in peace.
Olivier Reuland (29/05/2016 11:19)
The food was good but the service was not. It felt as if we weren't welcome and we have not received a single smile from the time we entered the restaurant to the time we left it.
Anna Cariati (24/04/2016 18:24)
Best spot for another must-have in Singapore: a Peranakan meal. Lovely atmosphere, great food and good service. Recommended.

Website is currently down so I took photos of the menu for you if you're interested in looking.
Great Peranakan food here. Service was pretty decent. The food is rich and full of flavors.
Marc Meissner (22/11/2015 04:14)
Okay place to have Paranakan food. Service was not paying much attention, when I was there. Seems to be popular with locals, too. Better make a reservation if you plan to have dinner here during peak hours.
