Consulted Dr Carmen Lee when Oscar was in pain and I couldn’t figure out the exact cause. You can imagine how anxious I was throughout.
Dr Lee was very patient and thorough throughout Oscar’s examination. She took the time to explain and go through due diligence with her diagnosis.
Oscar is now looking and feeling so much better. Would continue to bring Oscar to her for reviews. Staff nurses have also been helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend. 👍🏼

My dog is not in critical condition before I send there.Still can walk, see, eat.I see he was not feeling well and send to this animal doctor. The doctor told me the dog got heart and liver problem and later was pronounced dead on the same day because of complications.Cost me $1400 included cremation .Something is wrong with this bunch of doctor or either apprentices. Heart pain to see dog left like that.I would never recommend to this clinic ever.

Dr Chionh is an excellent vet and we absolutely love her. But I agree with some of the comments - the front office staff tend to be terse and unfriendly. And of course they have irritating clients who are afraid of dogs!

I first brought my rabbit to The Animal Doctors at Ang Mo Kio 6 years ago for neutering because of Dr Cathy Chan, who was wonderful. Shortly after, she moved to the Tiong Bahru branch. And then the AMK branch just went downhill. My other rabbit was diagnosed with glaucoma, which require frequent visits. For at least 3 times, they rescheduled my appointment (either the date, time or vet) without informing me. Worse still, they claimed that I was the one that made the appointment at the rescheduled time. I gave feedback about it, but no improvement.

I have had bad experience with seeing different vets every visit, because each vet would tell me a different thing. So I prefer to stick to the same vet. Now their latest trick is to make an appointment claiming that yes the vet I want to see is available, only to call at the last minute saying that the vet is not on duty. And AGAIN they claim that this was already made known when the appointment was first made. LIES.

I work shifts and it is SO DIFFICULT for me to make arrangmenta to bring my pet to see them. They know that we are at their mercy and hence they can't be bothered about it. They give no consideration to the inconvenience they bring to their clients. Shame on them.

The first time we brought our dog on 12/03/2018, my mom waited 4 hrs for the vet to attend to my dog. The vet did not come into conclusion after examination and x-ray. Symptoms were told to the vet and she could only say that it might be due to the nerve.

The medications initially help to ease my dog pain but his condition subsequently deteriorated. We brought him back for a review on 18/03/2018. She stated that it could be ivdd but did not give a confirmatory diagnosis. Injection and patch was given to my dog.

On 19/03/2018 at 7.30pm, we decided to put our dog under their care as we observed that his legs were weak. We were quite hopeful and after consultation on the same day, the vet told us that his condition has improved after the medications and injections given to him. When we handed over our dog to them, he is still responsive and his eyes are wide open.

On 20/03/2018 in the afternoon, my mother went to see our dog and she noticed that our dog breathing was periodically and barely opening his eyes. The vet still told us that his condition has improved. On 20/03/2018 at 7.20pm, I received a call and the clinic told me that my dog stopped breathing. I rushed down to the clinic and what I received is my dog carcass.

I left my dog with them in less than 24 hours and all I get back is my dog carcass. My dog is only 5 years 8 days old, my family and I totally did not expect this. My Mother is still devastated over my dog departure. The vet should have identify and realise the severity of my dog condition. She should have directed us to a specialist or hospital based on her experience as a professional doctor, when our dog condition is already out of their diagnosis. Their fruitless consultation delayed my dog from getting the treatment which eventually resulted in his death. Anyway, Google review forced me to give one star.

So far the doctor who attended to my furkid is detailed in her explanation. I can sense her commitment is treating animals from the way she interacted with my chh. Make an appointment to avoid prolonged waiting as they are usually quite fully booked. There are seats inside and outside for you if you need to wait for the test results. There's a cool vending machine just outside the main door.

Saw 3 doctors there for my rabbit, they gave different med and different prognosis. A few months gone, my rabbit is still NOT getting better and like getting worse. Will find other vet. They kept asking me to test here n there. Spent a lot but still no solution. Better go to another vet for rabbit.

Vets were good and friendly, my pet's skin condition finally improved after seeing the vets here. Went to two before to no avail.

The waiting time however, was not as good. Appointment was booked at 3pm, I reached 10 mins earlier (they called to remind me not to be late for appointment) When reported to receptionist, she said, a little accusingly that we were early for our appointment. Waited for an hour even with appointment to see the vet (which was thorough and kind), many patients who came later than us (not just the emergency ones, people with 330pm and 4pm appointments) had already gotten their consultation.

When waiting for medicine (another 20 minutes) one of the aunties said she's in a rush and why the medicine is taking so long. (Same) receptionist said you should come earlier if you have something on after this. (I was earlier and still late for my next appointment)

When I brought up I have been here for almost 2 hours and running late for my next appointment while asking for the status of the medicine, she didn't even acknowledge my statement. So it's either you are too early or you come too late, or your fault for arranging an appointment after a vet visit. It is never their fault.

I would still be coming, only for my pet and the vet.

Had a good experience with them before many years ago. Recently the one of the good doctor had left the team and it have been a complete failure.

My Rabbit died in their hands, because of poor pre caution check and everything were done in a rush!

These vets in Animal doctors have no sympathy care towards your pets. In their eyes your pets is just bundle of money to them. NEVER SEND YOUR PETS THERE!

Was here for my guinea pig's dental treatment. Was ill advised by first exotics vet who only trimmed front tooth when the back tooth was the problem. Subsequent visits were unpleasant as each doctor gave different diagnosis and treatment plan. Even pricing and prognosis were not communicated clearly.Very stressful.overall experience has been horrible. Will not visit again.

I called in and asked if I could swing by because my dog got a head trauma incident. They flatly told me "No, we have no space for you now. Bye." Quite upset but oh well, I guess if they have no space means they have no space.

My cats are well taken care of, and the doctors are kind and patient.

raj deva (28/06/2017 04:34)
Bring your pets to this place. The vets are very helpful and they take care of your pets well.

Place is clean. The vets are friendly. Long waiting time.

I had an appointment scheduled at 12pm, walked up the counter and the lady asked me to wait. I had to wait until 3pm to see the doctor. When I asked why so long, apparently there was a mistake because the lady put me on the "walk-in" queue. They were not apologetic at all. Not only that, the doctor gave bad advise and my pet died the next day. Really bad experience, this place have incompetent employees and doctors. I recommend everyone to avoid this clinic.

JoleneTheHamstar (12/09/2016 02:42)
Very professional and gentle doctors. When my 2-yr-old hammy had a cyst, they advised me not to let her go for surgery as she is quite old already. Even though they would not earn money from this advice, they still gave it, which shows that they genuinely care about the health of the animals. The bill was quite ex, but I think it is reasonable for the care and professionalism they provide.

Elaine Chia (10/08/2016 04:41)
The staff are caring, surprised to get calls from the doctor periodically to check on our pet after his operation

Cozy clinic... Comfortable to wait - and if you do not have any appointments, please BE PREPARED to wait. Our Shih Tzu has a really bad eye condition, and we have to wait for slightly more than 2 hours to be seen cos I didn't manage to get an appointment in the morning.

Perhaps our procedure is a lot more complicated, we had to pay quite a bit of medical bill.

leong eewon (31/07/2016 04:32)
Waited for more than an hour, the staff told me that 'because your pet doesnt look sick and not urgent, you might need to wait'. And they couldnt tell how long is the waiting time. Some owners came in later but seen earlier.bad experience.

Berryme Linzy (24/03/2016 01:51)
Very good experience for both me and my cat. Very professional and they do follow up calls. I was truly amazed. Never I had this treatment from the vets. Amazing service.

nur arini (17/12/2015 05:11)
Always come here for my cat issues. Looks very professional with the staff wearing scrubs. My cat had a medical board before going into surgery for his sterilization which was cute. They give annual postcard sent to my house to remind me for my cats annual check up. Price is affordable too. I consult the same vet Dr su Lin.

nice friendly and caring vets

Not bad. Easy parking.

W L Mak (26/01/2016 11:08)
Very professional and really committed doctors. Even offered advice via the phone instead of asking us to go down for consultation for non emergency cases. However, the waiting time can get long as it is very popular. Offers animal hospital services which helped a lot for pet owners like me.
