Government hospital with affordable rates if you are a subsidised patient.

Demanded a return call from the Paharmacy Delivery Team on 26 Apr 2018 but receive zero response to date. They are not professional at all. Only lnow how to push the blame to the third part delivery crew when instructions from patient are clearly not carried out! What a shame, only knows how to collect monthly salaries but cant even act on simplest instruction. Continue doing what you do best - hiding and sweeping issues under the carpet!

The doctors and nurses are all incompetent and does not know what to do. The doctors exhibit unprofessional and uncaring behaviour when interacting with patients. There is major miscommunication and everything was a mess. Eg. Whether to take medicine at a certain time or not, etc. The ambulance did not even know which hospital to go to. They are poorly equipped as well, and do not have the necessary equipment to perform some tests, ie. need to transfer u to another place. Just avoid this place and go for other hospitals if u don't want to face such risks.

Worst hospital so many doctor only 2 doctors take care non emergency clinics

Excellent hospital facilities with many food outlets below the wards

Awful A&E, Service, Cost and Hygiene

Nurses and Staff in general lack knowledge and care for the patients at the triage and registration.

We have to wait for a person who did not know how to register herself in. No one was there to help her out, Holding back the line of incoming patients even with repeated calls for assistance.

A&E Consultation Estimated waiting times are bogus. Its all values made whatever they felt like.

23 minutes became more than 2 hours just to see a doctor for diagnosis.

Toilets were dirty, Security staff in general were intimidating, Desk staff dont give two shits about looking at the person they are addressing, Nurses can heck care with the patients and gossip about patient's conditions possibly breaking confidentiality and holding back treatment waiting times.

Not even worth the cost of consultation to a place that has little resources and incompetents/rude staff.

DO NOT COME HERE ! Is the message they want to portray.
The only time they will attend to you is when you came in on a bed from an ambulance. Dont walk in expecting to come out in 2 hours.

I was recently referred to TTSH to see a "specialist" because the doctor at the polyclinic thought i need further examination. It was a waste of my time because i didn't see a real specialist but a "senior resident". I guess as a subsidised patient, you don't get to choose and the type of care you get really depends on your luck.
The senior resident asked me plenty of questions so that he can diagnose me or make a diagnosis by exclusion. After all the questioning, he asked me to lie down and start pressing my stomach ( cos i was complaining of abdominal pain). After that he asked me to take off my pants and underwear and asked me to cough. I am not sure what this test has got to do with my complains. Next he asked me to lie on my side, with my pants and underwear off of cos. he didn't tell me what he was going to do and he just apply some lube and inserted a probe into my anus to examine it. Totally lacking in bedside manners.
I am not sure why he need to do that too because it has nothing to do with my complains.
SO after all the questioning and examination, he just arranged for me to have an endoscopy done and it's 3 months later.
There is no diagnosis, nothing. No mention of possible causes of the abdominal pain. No treatment. nothing. As far as i know, there are many causes of abdominal pains....and if he can only rely on the endoscopy results then he can make a diagnosis, he is not a good doctor. So in the mean time i have to suffer from the pain for another 3 months.
This happened at the colorectal specialist clinic just last week 15 Jan.
I know I can get an endoscopy done very quickly if I don't want to wait....that is by going to a private specialist and paying very much more.

Great hospital, doctors, nurses and staff. Very efficient. Only problem is narrow carpark and difficult to find parking lot. My advice is to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment if you are driving.

Waiting time can be very long although came for appointment. Doesn't make sense. After seeing a specialist for more than a year, that specialist suddenly realises I should be treated at another specialist. What a specialist. The staff are friendly, putting in thought when helping to book the next appointment.

Convenient located, at the center of Singapore. With a mall and MRT station within walking distance.

Eric Ho (06/08/2017 11:23)
There is a covered bridge that connects between novena and TTSH. It is at the end of the orthopedic surgical clinic (B1). Many people still don't know about this and keep using the MRT underground tunnel between Novena and TTSH.

I arrived around midnight suspecting possible DVT. Registration was quick. Ingestion/Triage took about 5-10 to get called and routed to A&E wait room. I was there for about an hour (maybe a little more). I met Dr. Foo who diagnosed and did an ultrasound very quickly. As I've had DVT before, he noticed my concern and said he could order full ultrasound to set my mind at ease. He quoted price (~SG$150) and said it would take 2-3 hours to arrange. I waited about 2 hours, full ultrasound was done, no DVT. Back to Dr. Foo who prescribed some antibiotics for suspected infection and some pain killers. I paid SG$116 for services and on the pharmacy. Rx was filled very quickly for SG$3. Summary: staff is professional but not overtly courteous. Facility was largely clean except for smell of urine and dust on ceiling in ultrasound room. Cost was very reasonable (by US standards). Overall I am satisfied with care received and don't think it would have been much better at home. It was certainly cheaper than US healthcare. I've read other reviews that said to expect long wait times and it did seem busy. I had noise cancelling headphones & phone that really helped with the wait. Wait tome for a ward bed was posted at 20 hours.

Paul Wei Quan Loh (30/05/2017 14:13)
It is a popular hospital and hence, waiting time can be very long. Took us roughly 10 hours just for a temporary bed. However, the nurses are really hardworking, working round the clock without resting.

One thing everyone needs to get it straight is nurses are not your waitresses or domestic helpers. They are caregivers and usually there is only one nurse attending to several patients. Saw so many people demanding for things like they are kings and queens.

Daniel Lee (24/05/2017 02:53)
Waste of time. Referred to by polyclinic for MRI. Appointment made but only managed to see a doctor who repeated the same request as the first doctor, which is to get mri. Charged fees for that statement and no solution at all. Expected me to get another appointment for MRI again followed by another appointment with the e doctor and pay more fees. No wonder there is a shortage of doctors. The administration is totally unproductive, repeating the need for continuous appointments and consultation charges rather than providing clear treatments.

Need to spend a lot time on waiting. Better bring food Bec they won't let u off the bed while waiting. She can spell yr name wrongly even u give her. Better check yr application.

Not so bad. The food there was not expensive, but the waiting time always too long.

Aravind C (27/03/2017 10:08)
Very good hospital with good amenities and nice service. Located conveniently next to Novena MRT and Bus stop.

KOH JING WEI, JAE HCI (02/03/2017 06:14)
There are many friendly staff they all have a lot of experience. The price might be a bit expensive though.

Cintia Tavella (11/02/2017 09:26)
Most well equipped hospital in Singapore, with all kinds of speciality practices and clinics. The Sports Medicine clinic @B1 is particularly great! Great physiotherapists and doctors

Jaslyn Koh (08/02/2017 15:21)
Some of their nurses in higher wards need to upgrade their skills and knowledge. And also they should watch their back. Mind their own business before telling patient's family what to do. Some of their doctors and nurses really sucks and careless. Nearly cause unnecessary injuries on my poor mom.

Vivian Lee (31/01/2017 04:21)
Convenient location near Novena MRT station. Nurses and staffs are very helpful at the Eye clinic.
They need to provide more seats at the courtyard as it gets really busy during lunch time.

Xing Hui Yeo (08/01/2017 06:06)
Very efficient service. Had operation here last time due to accident. The hospital got very advanced technique. Thumbs up and recommend!!

I would've given 5 stars if it weren't for an incident involving my dad. He had to wait half a day just to get a room. He was showing symptoms of hypercalcaemia and taken to A&E. I rushed there by taxi because the ambu could only take 1 extra person (my mom went). The nurses snapped at me when they saw me and rudely kicked me out over the 1-person only protocol. I would've left anyway if they had told me nicely. After all I had just witnessed my dad cramp up and writhe in pain and get whisked away by paramedics and I just wanted to see for myself he was ok!

On the other hand my own personal experiences with the docs, nurses and reception ladies at the clinics have been great. They were all very helpful.

Alexander Wang (31/08/2016 01:35)
I have been to their ICU twice. I have to say the nurses were not very welcoming. One doctor we met was very young and seemed not experienced. However, that cannot be generalized to all doctors and nurses in this hospital, but a reference for you.

Adeline Lim (07/06/2016 07:19)
Had to wait for more than 1 hour to do a simple test at ENT clinic. As a result, was the last patient to see the doctor when the clinic was closing. Doctor seems to have a 'yet another patient, faster finish and go off' attitude and was hasty in doing the naso endoscopy which was so painful and did not even bother to get me into a comfortable position first. Hai...really no sense of ownership in parients' care.

Appointment made to meet with Oncologist Yeo Wee Lee on 23/52016 @ 1600hrs. Shock to learn from a clerk of the hospital that he is not meeting us. After all the arreangement from our work, just a message from a clerk that not seeing us. This is TTSH nrom or just this consultant?

Richard Wilk (24/04/2016 11:13)
Went there to get my regular botox injections for migraine. I saw Dr. Jasmin Idu Jion, who listened carefully and explained the treatment plan. The many injections were much less painful than those given by my doctor back in the USA (at a major University hospital). To my great surprise it turned out that the doctor did an internship with the very same neurologist in New York who treated my migraines successfully - after failures at clinics in 4 countries. The ibotox was also cheaper than in the USA. The hospital is a busy place, but there was always someone to guide me to the next stop.

I developed a lump at my left goin with great discomfort. I went to TTSH this afternoon and was attended by Dr Lim Kwee Kuang after a few hours of waiting. She apologized for the long wait, was nice and gentle speaking which really put me at ease. She explained to me very clearly in details with the aids of photos about the lump (hernia) very professionally. Thank you TTSH for having such professionals.

To Dr Lim Kwee Kuang. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
