Great colourful fountain, with very random songs played out loud. Good place for light recreational activities. Got people selling balloon bubbles, too. There's also a playground. Suitable for family and friends.

Free to access. A place good for leisure activities such as jogging, feeding fish besides the lake, cycling, exercising, playing kites. There is a small gym facility where a small entrance fee applies.

Great park too do a fitness. I always go there for go jogging on the morning and evening. You need to come fast in the morning like 6:30 a.m or before 7:00 a.m and if you want go in evening you need to come like 4:30 p.m or under 5:00 p.m or you can't get parking there. There only have like 75 parking only. Sometime it will full but if you are lucky there have a parking for you. Have a small restaurant in the middle of Taman Merdeka and it too expensive to buy. In the night like 8:30 p.m till 11:00 p.m have activites there like play roller blade and more !

Great place to chill and relax with family. A Must visit place while you are in Johor Bahru town at night.
The main attractions are definitely colourful musical fountain show and the landscape itself. Ideal place for taking pictures and selfies. But to enjoy the colourful musical fountain show, you must be here before 11:00 pm.

Nice place to bring kids. Clean playground. Got historical lesson that can be taught or learn here. Nice place to take pictures. There is even mazes for children to play. Got communist camp and japanese camp too. There is also musical fountain. Never thought this kind of place exist. Thumbs up👍👍

A place where you and your family can go jog together, ride a bike or skating. Aerobics or Zumba activity is also a regular especially on weekends. Be sure to bring along your own food or drinks because there are no shops or stalls here at all. If the authorities did not make their rounds there will be a couple of people selling drinks, food or toys but mostly drinks alongside the jogging track.

Excellent park with good jogging paths. Easy & plenty roadside parking. Lots of shades & wakaf made the environment cooler. Brightly lit paths allow joggers to safely using it day & night.

This is a recreational park in Johor which can be used for picnic, exercising and outing. The place is always full on weekend with people having various activities. Some of the landmarks are cool why some are already deteriorating which needs to be repaired. It is a nice place to relax i will recommend it for a group of two or more needing quiet time

Perfect place to jog every morning. Free Musical aerobic session every Thursdays to Sundays starting at 0745 hrs. Everybody is friendly and smiling.

It is a nice place for jogging. It is always crowded of people. It is suitable for a family with young children to go when in the evening.

The public swimming pool is great for kids. I was here Pokemon hunting btw. A lot of poke stops, almost every 70m walk.

Well designed park with a walking/jogging track around a lake. Open stage for performances or group exercises. Nice selection of plants for the landscape. If only the local council can do proper maintenance for some of the toilets.

The water fountain show is magnificient.! Its worth it.. This park decoration is all about Malaysia Independence Day. Taman Merdeka literally translated : Independence Park. Water fountain shows starts at 5pm till 9.30pm and at it's more beautiful at night as it comes with the colorful lights and sound.
