Located opposite a church in the quiet side of East coast. Prices of tires and batteries are reasonable and service is good and friendly.
A whole lot less expensive than what the car agents would charge!

Today I bought two Korean tyres for my Toyota Corolla Altis and I like the price.
You see, I went to this shop after my friend who was using the car earlier went to a tyre shop in Bt Timah because some $#@#$$% planted a screw in the left front tyre. The owner Mr XYZ offered her a not new tyre for $105. She called for advice and I said no! The last time I bought a new tyre it cost me only $100. $105 for a not new tyre is ridiculous.
The shop I went to, Swee Hong Tyre at 166 Upper East Coast Road took out the screw and surprise! the air did not rush out. Nevertheless one of the two brothers who operated the business fixed it for me - by patching the spot underneath the screw hole from inside with a rubber patch.
Then he re-balanced the tyre and the other front tyre. He told me the rear tyres were due for replacement. To my untrained eye, they were okay. So intially I declined. He said, be careful when you drive on a rainy day. I thanked him. But then, what the heck why don't I buy two new tyres as an insurance or simply for my peace of mind.
His brother recommended me a Korean brand and the price he asked was lower than what Mr XYZ had quoted for a not new tyre. After all, my car had a date with the scrap yard in 24-odd months. And the Korean tyres would last at least 40K km he assured me. He even accepted my credit card without a 3% surcharge unlike some estabs,.
What is even better: he waived his charge for strengthening my screwed tyre, balancing it and the other one. In effect it was a discount unasked for. It was like 10% of the price of the 2 tyres I bought, better by far than that offered by my friendly but increasingly upmarket Fair Price. It gives me, a senior citizen, 20 cents off for every $10 I spend on Tuesdays. (Can't take advantage though, because on Tuesdays I would prefer to shop at Giants which give me 30 cents off - 50% more than Fair Price).
If you asked me how stars I would assign Swee Hong Tyre, out of a maximum of 5 stars, I would give him six!
