First time visiting this place. Simple no frills eating place. Food taste is acceptable. Not too pricey. They don't accept credit cards.

Nice Tim sum. Went there during weekday lunch, no crowd. The egg tart is crispy. The dessert mango sago is rather too sweet. So if u like it then OK if not avoid.

I highly recommend eating here! Fantastic food at a great price. The menus have pictures of the food (decent, not generic take away picture) so if you're not sure on what the dishes are these will help show. Very modern and efficient table waiting/booking/ordering system as well.

Their carrot cake is really good!!! Service wise, it was prompt. Toilets for girls, you may require a bit of waiting if you are not comfortable with those squatting kind of toilets, as there's one toilet with toilet bowl, and the other with the squatting kind. Their porridge is also pretty decent as an after drinks supper.

Food tastes as good as ever! Must try the 明虾角。service is fast and polite. If you ever feel like having dim sum near town, this place is a gem

Delicious Chinese food. The restaurant is always packed, but the seating system is quick and efficient. Service is also quick. The pork dumpling with liquid filling, the soy sauce noodles, the tea and the egg custard dimsum are all super yum

Crowded place. Was so lucky to arrive there 5 minutes before they open at 10am on Sunday morning. There's a long queue when we went out the restaurant after brunch. Foods are good. Everything is made fresh. You can even see a man making the noodle behind the bar.

Really awesome place to have Tim sum. Variety of choices, you name it, sure have. Price is super reasonable too. My family of 10 went there for dinner on weekend. We only spent $120. And all of us has more than enough. But please come punctually at 6pm, when they start business. Or else you may have to wait for a long while. People actually queue way before they start business at 6pm.
Be early, if you don't want to wait.

I would definitely recommend you to try this nice and affordable dim sum. The foods are delicious and the size are reasonable. The quantity for each dish, I would say that it is suitable for 2 or 3 (if you don't eat much) person. For the opening hours of this restaurant, please look it up on Google as it is not an ordinary timing. 8.5 out of 10. Sorry no pictures, was too busy eating. 😅

Been here since a decade ago. During that time, price was cheap, quality of food is better. I saw them grew from 1 unit to 3 units. They have grown quite a fair bit. But currently the taste of their dim sum is still good. Not so much photos today as I’m on diet. Please note that, if you are hungry during weekend especially dinner time till late, be prepared to wait. Waiting time can be quite long. Food to order , those with their thumbs up are good to try.

Reasonable price... Delicious... But the potion and menu variety had to be adjust a bit...

Jolene Peh (01/10/2017 06:12)
Very average food but inexpensive. Polite and friendly staff despite the crowd. If you are craving for Dim Sum but do not wish to pay a hefty sum this is the place to come.

Martin Yeo (26/09/2017 18:40)
Best place for hungry insomniacs! Wide range of dim sum to choose from at a reasonable price. Feels like Hong Kong with all the locals buzzing around. Definitely a place I'd recommend.

zi yan lim (12/09/2017 01:14)
Very crowded and slow service on Sundays. Food is pretty average but priced competitively. The wanton is not good 😭

Marcus Lim (28/08/2017 07:34)
Good affordable dim sum. It's more quantity than quality, with it's large menu. Great for group gatherings, especially late-night suppers. Expect a wait; you'll only be seated when the entire party has arrived.

Gspot Keys (26/08/2017 00:43)
Sitting at the back alley on a cool night brings back memories of the past. Rare to find places like these that will allow that. Service is pretty fast, dim sum is fresh, but not all are very authentic.
Avoid weekend nights, the waiting time & chaotic queueing system will make you lose your appetite.

Dawn T (24/07/2017 10:58)
Easy on the wallet and on your feet. It always looks like there is a huge crowd waiting, but the queue system is actually incredibly efficient and I've always gotten a table quickly. Much more than dim sum-- you can enjoy handmade noodles, old school tea in metal tea pots with hot water to wash your cups, and Chinese appetizer favourites like drunken chicken. So good. And open all night!

David Sierra (09/07/2017 00:39)
If you are crazy about damn good dim sum at affordable prices, this is your place! There is always queue but it worths the wait! Prepare to try tons of different dim sum and other cooked plates with a clear home made taste, clearly one of the best places for dim sum in Singapore!

Alvin (28/06/2017 13:50)
One of the most popular Dim Sum supper spot among locals. Swee Choon serves pretty good as well as a sizable variety of Dim Sum such as Fried Carrot Cakes & Siew Mai etc. It is reasonably priced and does not put a strain on your wallet. Keep up the honest and good work!

Serx Tetchan (15/06/2017 02:40)
I have been the first time at Swee Choon and the waiting time was stated 30-45 minutes. But after like 15 minutes, we got already a table. The dim sum and all the other dishes can be seen with pictures on the menu. According to that you can decide what to order. Anything tasted delicious and the waiting time after ordering the food was really short. Anything what was ready, they brought to the table so we had the food portionwise coming on to the table. I would indeed recommend this place due to the great experience of the dim sum. Try it!

A bit of a late night institution, a long running dim sum place on the edge of little India. Outstanding value and decent quality. The flavours are good, but won't knock you out. Thankfully neither will the hit on your wallet. It's open till 6am as well, though closed Tuesday's. The prawn fried rice is very good...

Jeslyn Lim (25/05/2017 15:34)
Dim sum standards have dropped over the years but still a to-go supper place for most people. Highly recommend banana prawn fritters and egg tarts. Service is OK; food is fair priced. Wet tissue is chargeable, so if you don't need it, be sure to return it to the counter when making payment.

Elizabeth Tan (30/04/2017 04:53)
Awesome place as usual. The wait wasn't too long and the food is still good! Kudos~

Yi Ting (22/04/2017 06:02)
Favourite dim sum ever. My usual supper place. Staffs are very friendly and they remember my orders. I like how their food are still so fresh even though they open till late :)

Julian Futanto (26/03/2017 09:18)
Great selection of Tim Sum for a decent price. Watch out for the crowd! Generally it's easier and faster to get a table if you come in bigger group (>5)

Thai Pham (14/03/2017 15:30)
Definitely a favorite of mine since student time. They have a good range of dim sum dishes and all are well executed. They have pocket friendly prices and open until the wee hours. It's worth a visit!

Peter Tan (25/02/2017 04:42)
Excellent customer service. Good food. Pleasant staff. All helpful and cheery. Very accomodating.

Bernard Lee (20/02/2017 14:19)
Food is nice. Price is moderate. Menu is quite extensive. Service is fast. Ambience is great. Except the queuing time. Because it is so popular you have to wait minimum 20mins during peak hours. But overall it's a good meal if you are around the corner.

Giovanna Pino (20/02/2017 12:54)
Love this place!! If it's a nice day I recommend sitting outside. All the food is great, really no Complaints! The portugese egg tart were my favorite! And chicken feet were succulent!

Lionel Chia (31/12/2016 16:48)
Excellent dim sum that is served very quickly almost 24/7. However be prepared for the long wait and relatively higher prices.

I've been coming here for almost 5 years and I keep coming back. The prices have gone up significantly since their earlier days but quality has never suffered. Hungry late at night? This is a solid spot for long chats through the night

Shanny Mok (06/12/2016 10:44)
You know what. This is the first place I'll give 5 stars! Food is taaaaasty, pricing is affordable, friendly staff.
They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is quite a plenty. Food is served really quickly.
They have chairs lined for the queue. If you're hungry, get a small cheat bite from the takeaway counter!
What's there to complain?
Been here for years, standard always have been good. Never differed regardless of the time I'm there!

Stephan Wu (22/10/2016 03:26)
Amazing Dim Sum place for the late nighters. Will satisfy all your cravings! All of the dishes were very tasty, but I would especially recommend the Salted Egg Yolk Custard Buns and the Black Beans Spare Ribs. We will definitely be back here again soon!

shirni ong (15/10/2016 08:46)
Midnight snacks! (Updates 14 Oct 2016) they now open for lunch too)

This is the place to go when you are hungry in the middle of the night but you don't want mamak food.

Plenty of options from dim sum to noddle and rice.

My fav:
1.Steam pork ribs are the best! Very old school flavour cook with small chunks of yam.
2. Char Siew pao
3. Prawn Hong Kong chee cheong fun

Usually a wait, if you are not picky, outdoor queue are shorter.

James Hughes (04/10/2016 02:34)
Perhaps my favourite place to eat in all of Singapore, its quite simply a must, the Char Siu pau, Xia long bao are unreal, as are pretty much everything else on the menu. Open till 6am as well, closed on Tuedays though

Edwin Tan Boon How (03/10/2016 08:22)
Loads of good dim sums for you to sample. Must try their Liu Sha Bao(Salted Egg Yolk pau) and Mee sua Kueh(Rice noodles Kueh). Make sure you turn up with the whole group as they will only seat you if the whole group is here.

Henry Ang (16/09/2016 18:25)
This is a popular place for Hong Kong Timsum. It's always very crowded. Nice food at a great place. Expect long queue during peak meal hours.

Larah Oh (20/06/2016 00:22)
Fascinating exotic food court. The range of scents, languages, people, takes my breath! Deeply impressive. Very crowded and busy place. Mainly Indian food

Domagoj Pribanic (17/06/2016 19:37)
Good menu with lots of options. Has enough for you to find something you like that keeps you coming back (like yours truly), or to keep you coming back to try new things.

The service plays it fast and loose and everything from seating to ordering, serving to payment moves quite quickly. No worries if you can't speak a lick of anything other than English, as writing on order forms, pointing and gestures usually end with the desired result.

The dim sum is quite good, and most of the items are enjoyable. It's an evening and all night place that is closed on Tuesdays (learned that the hard way).

Shower Chan (07/06/2016 14:02)
Wow. The dim sum is awesome. Seek for chef recommended in menu. Never go wrong.
Mee sua kieh is a disappointment thought.

Jo Lynn Teh (02/06/2016 08:57)
Cheap and good with extensive menu. May have language barrier if you don't know Chinese but the English menu helps a lot. Very fast paced service with order forms, service bells on individual tables and queue system.

Damien Liew (31/05/2016 06:31)
Standard of liu sha bao seems to have dropped from about a year ago. Now it is mostly dry; no longer flowy
