Welcome to Germany! This place is located at the road junction. Has live band on Saturday nights. Offers food and drinks, cakes and coffee/tea. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Best Blackforest cake ever!Friendly staff. Toilet is located on the 2nd floor. Good for dinner, tea break or just to unwind with a beer.

Food: 3-Stars. Ok, not laudable.
Ambience: 3-Stars. Not as beautiful as their previous location at GSM building.
Service: Negative. Asked for ice water but only offered bottled water. It was only when we got two glasses of wine that the ice water was served. What the hell!
Let’s all do a favour to restauranteurs who refuse to serve iced (tap) water: Boycott them!

I went there for dinner. Food was good with very reasonable prices (at least for main and appetiser) and above average service.
The recommended dessert, the black forest, surprised me in a good way despite not not being a chocolate base cake person. Worth trying despite the high price for a slice of cake. Alcohol there is is very cheap and great for small group looking for drinking and eating. I wouldn't call it authentic South German cuisine tho. Pork knuckles was a bit too try and their "pizza" lacked sour cream like in Germany. But again for the location, price and service, good value for money.

Had dinner and drinks there. The pork knuckle is a nice portion for 2 pax. We shared a pork knuckle and mixed sausages platter. Selected beers were 1 for 1 through out the night.

If you are in town and up for a cheap lunch? On a date? Come to this place. The food is excellent, although not mind-blowing. And the lunch deal price fully worth the money. I am quite surprised that the place is empty during weekdays lunch, considering you get free flow of soup and bread + the food is good. I got the chicken lunch set for 14.20(including gst), even though chicken breast is a bit dry, it is still good with the gravy.

Great German Cafe. Black forest cake was yummy as was all the very filling German dishes such as pork knuckles. Food goes well with beer. No complaints.

Central location. German food. German beers. Good prices. And a few couches to relax for a coffee or beer. Friendly staff (not Germans though! :-)) quaint interior design which around Christmas gets another Black Forest update!

Very nice ambience. Attentive and helpful waiting staff. One suggested we order a fourth dessert for practically nothing more as there was a promotion. Good of him to point this out to us for we missed it. Black forest is as attested to by other reviewers - superb! Tiramisu is good too. Coffee is so, so. But brewed coffee in pot is strong, and brewed on the spot by staff at table. Overall, a pleasant experience.

Small but nice place to hangout. Beer price is nominal. Food is also good.

Good service. Really enjoyed the black forest cake, the latte, the beer, and the truffle fries. The pork knuckle was nice - tender and crispy, but could be more flavoursome (the sides - mash potatoes and sauerkraut were good); I liked the maultaschen (German beef wonton). Ambience was good, and there was a festive air about the place.

Place that sells the usual German food and self proclaim best black forest cake. Food is good and is a great place to hangout with friends. There's beer too.
The food are good, not fantastic though. Service of staff is good, attentive and will repeat our orders to confirm. Manager was so so, didn't make us feel we should be there.
For desserts, I am not a fan of cakes but 2 friends in the group likes it.
Only downside is that they are charging us additional $1 to top up hot water for our tea. We had 7 person, ordered quite a lot of food, 5 beers, 2 sodas, 3 coffee and 1 pot of tea.

We were five for occasional dinner gathering. Salad was crisp with their homemade choice. My favourite choice was real moist tradition recipe Black Forest cake. Next served was their medium big crispy skin and sofy tender flesh pig knuckle. Best next was sauerkraut which is my all time favourite. Serving staff friendly. Nice ambience.
Jack tan was there for dinner. Will be back soon. 😊😊😋😁

Nice pork knuckle. The ambience was nice too

Had the pork knuckle and more. The food is average, with the Blackforest cake being the only thing that's slightly better. Lots and lots of alcohol in the cherries.

Excellent place for German food. The pork knuckle and truffle fries were excellent. The pork skin was very crispy yet tender. The fries had sufficient truffle oil allowing the taste to compliment the potato taste. If possible do try the organic beer too. It was smooth and refreshing. It was great with the food. The only minor downside was the blackforest cake. It slightly underwhelming for the price although they advertised it so much.

Double charge my meal when I paid my bill. Charge on credit card then I asked them to void which they didn't when I paid via NETS. Poor service too, took a long time to serve my food. If you can't handle the crowd ...don't accept, there's always a better place and better than rainforest cake. Just learn from YouTube.

Food is not so fresh Pork Schnitzel was served within 4 minutes - microwave heated. Cheesy interior style. No soft drinks available. "Famous Black forest Cake" was from Coppenrath - fresh out of the freezer.

We really enjoyed this place. Service was good and prices reasonable. The only downside the freezing cold air conditioning, which they advised is centrally controlled by the hotel.

Nice cosy ambiance. Great for chilling out with friends. Good selection of meat and beers...not forgetting the black forest cake.
