Only suitable for overnight. Not suitable for mature people. It is so small. First room we checked into was only two star. We were moved into an executive studio loft which was just ok. Having to negotiate stairs to get to the bed and back down to the toilet wasn't fun. The staff were fantastic but there is no way I would stay there again.

Staff were very friendly and room was pretty spacious. However, the room was not very well maintained and was a little dirty. Bathroom was very small and like many other reviewers mentioned, it's hard to shower without touching the walls. It's also quite odd because the basin is not in the toilet, but at the sofa/ living area. Room came with buffet breakfast and again, staff were super friendly and a great chat. Food was average, try out the eggs though, they're great.
Nonetheless, the room was pretty cheap (got it at $150 per night) so for the price, i have no complaints at all :-) however, if you're usually fussy about cleanliness and you're willing to pay more, you may want to check out other hotels in sg/ in the area. If you're looking for a hotel stay with an affordable price tag and you're not too fussy with cleanliness, studio m is great!

The staffs are very friendly and helpful, and Ms. April went the extra mile to send a slice of cake up to our room and even sang a birthday song for my boyfriend. It was a pleasant surprise and he loved it! Thank you Studio M for the pleasant stay! Will definitely be back again!

Stayed for 2 nights with family. Room was upgraded at check-in. A nice surprise. Check in and out was efficient. Good rest with comfortable bed. Pleasant stay. Nice!

Booked a room here and as soon as we walked in there was an awful smell. We pulled back the covers and saw a worm like bug crawling in the bed!! We immediately left the room and alerted staff. We no longer felt comfortable staying at this hotel. We ended up spending hours in the lobby trying to find another hotel near by. This was an incredibly awful experience. We traveled a great distance from the United States and did not expect this type of welcome. Very disappointed

Customer service was excellent. Rooms are cozy and not too large. Room service did an excellent job to clean while me and my partner was away. Location was very convenient as many eating spots are just a short walk away. Breakfast buffet had limited option but food is still of great quality.

Checked in to a studio loft. Stained floor mat and soaking wet carpet upon checked in. Uncomfortably small toilet and shower area. It's difficult to shower without at least touching one side of the bathroom walls. Guess what you pay is what you get but I was hoping that even the lowest tier room had some kind of basic hygienic standards. There's wheelchair accessible parking and breakfast is served till 10.30am. Swimming pool is rather small too. Overall, it was a memorable loft experience but I wouldn't want to go back again.
Jarad Cowie (01/03/2018 23:29)
The staff were friendly but the rooms were a little dated. Lots of scratches and marks on the walls probably due to the small space. That wasn't so bad but the shower has no extraction fan and therefore there is black mold and mildew on the ceiling and walls due to the poor design. Rooms aren't that quiet but at least there was no street noise. If you like doing laps in your pool then this is the place for you. Heaps of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
Sin Jodie (24/02/2018 08:48)
Positive points: bathroom, toilet and wash basin are separated. Is good for 2-3 to stay. Walking distance to eatery. Negative points: few bits on the body and limbs at night, uncomfortable pillow(too high), no separate lights off at night as I prefer to leave 1 light on at night. Too dark at night. Hope there is no bed bugs in this hotel.
Brandon Lee (13/11/2017 15:02)
Location was good, lots of restaurants and cafe around the vicinity. Service is great, loft concept is something new for me. The only missing star is the lack of a better breakfast spread.
Muhammad Yusof (11/11/2017 17:42)
Small and cosy rooms they have. Comfy 2 story loft makes it a unique place to be in. Once u come here, u wont wanna get out from there. Worth the price too!! Amazing customer service !!
Sebestian Lim (02/11/2017 14:05)
The room is 2 floor where u go up is your room and downstairs is like your guest relax place. Really like this kind of room design. Very near to all drinking places and easily access to public transport too.
Jason Kwek (16/10/2017 15:00)
"Well-worn" hotel which is pretty used. Room amenities are worn out and cleaniness can be much improved for the toilet/wash basin and room furniture.
Tiny toilet and shower for the loft units, reminiscent of Tokyo hotels.
Soundproofing can definitely be improved. I can hear the party and laughter from the other rooms.
Saving grace would have been the prompt, friendly staff and pretty efficient room service.

This was our second time doing staycation in Studio M. Room is not very spacious but we like the two storeys design. It looks modern but in fact it's a little bit tedious if you are frequent washroom user. Hotel is clean and tidy, reception is welcoming and smiling all the time. Location wise it's near to the Singapore river which is good for a evening walk. Room is quiet and clean too.
Leandro Siow (10/09/2017 22:29)
So I booked this hotel and thought the bad reviews could have been bias. But unfortunately they are rather true. This hotel was not up kept and the breakfast was horrible. It is definitely better compared to a hostel but no better than a 3-star.
Geoff Y (29/08/2017 13:12)
A pretty decent hotel, I'm happy to have stayed there. If I'm honest, I booked before reading many of their reviews, and once I had read them, I was a little concerned.
However, I'm glad to say that once I'd arrived and checked in, everything was just right. The room was of a decent size and the loft style was an interesting quirk. I will admit that I didn't use the upstairs all that much but there were days that I sat up there and read a book.
The shower and toilet are in individual closet type spaces, and although that might sound small, they are roomy enough. I'm a big guy and I managed it just fine. Having a basin outside of the toilet was a smart move.
The bed was big and comfy and there was enough space for my luggage and to hang my shirts. There wasn't a closet, the hanging rack is above the luggage area.
Housekeeping looked after my room each day and there was a daily knock to see if there was any laundry. I put a single shirt in and was surprised to find it returned same day (I had put a non express service). The pool is decent enough, but could do with a few more loungers, the gym is open to the air although cooled by fans. I didn't take breakfast or use the cafe.
All in all, the staff were helpful and the room of a decent quality, I'd stay there again, but ask for a room with a view (mine faced another wing of the building).
Zhi Hao (20/08/2017 12:01)
The hotel furnishing is modern and it gives off really positive vibes. Rooms are well designed, with a staircase inside leading to a bed on the upper deck. Would definitely go again in a group of 2-4.
Julia Meriel (27/07/2017 18:02)
Great customer service. Front desk staff are helpful and engaging. I loved the pool and breakfast area, and the tea served! Comfortable beds and interesting design.
Bathrooms could be better.
Jeff Yeoh (02/07/2017 15:57)
Cleanliness was the first big issue we had, the feature next to the bed collected lots of dust and hair which was disgusting. The pillow cases had stains on them. The toilets used tiles with very dirty grouting.
Air conditioning was the next issue. Setting it at the lowest 18deg and High speed didn't seem to make a difference. The room air felt stale, and I woke up with a sweat from my afternoon nap. Coming in from a hot day outside made things even worse.
Ameneties are basic, and parking was scarce. There was at most 20 lots. When we came back late, the guards didn't allow us to enter and appeared rude, not even advising us where to park our car.
Not worth the money and effort to stay here..
Johnson Huang Wei Cheng (19/06/2017 12:32)
Hotel is excellently amazingly speechless for birthday party or gathering, especially the second storey bed lead with a stairway. Study table is comfy so does the bed, toilet. The location might be difficult to walk to destination but overall I enjoyed my birthday party here. I would rate for cleanliness, service, facility, room 4.5/5
Mega Septiandara (12/06/2017 10:39)
Cool lofty design. Nice pool. Great location. The room is smaller than the picture, the toilet/shower is so small. Also the wallpaper started to fall out. Other than that everything is fine.
Kishore Netha (09/06/2017 04:39)
Most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more sweet, giving me directions to a function I was attending along with a helpful map, ensuring parking in car park and facilitating an early check in. If nothing else had gone right with hotel this lady ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in both bar where we had lunch and restaurant where we had dinner. Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
michael Lau (22/05/2017 15:58)
It has an impressive loft room with a little upper deck. Room service is good. But the room we were first assigned was quite terrible that flying bugs were found in the bathroom. Then we changed to the room next to it which is somewhat better.
Sergio Lavalle (01/05/2017 22:27)
The locación of the hotel is very good since it is close to the river walk and there are several restaurants near. However, the hotel rooms are a bit old and are missing some maintenance, so everything looks nice at first but as you look closer everything has small signs of over-use. Overall, the hotel is okay for the price and location.
Wayne Yeo (24/04/2017 09:30)
The additional half storey in the rooms are more novel than practical, more useful for larger parties but for two people we rarely used the upper floor. The room itself is actually quite small with a separate toilet and shower. The swimming pool was great. Be careful to get a parking ticket from them should you your car there. Was not told that this was necessary even though free parking was stated upon check in and was charged unnecessarily for $10. The check in counters were inadequate and there were often long queues at the desk.
Nathan Cocker (14/04/2017 13:13)
Studio rooms in a fantastic location. Easy to get to Clark Quey and other facilities. Careful with the taxis though, they can sometimes take you to the wrong.
Calvin Cheung (24/03/2017 04:52)
Special loft design rooms there. Nice outdoor swimming pool, recommend book your room with Daily Breakfast, just love it. Really good value among the other 4 stars hotels in Singapore. It could be the only consideration the hotel location is not near the Subway System (MRT), hotel provide free shuttle bus to the City Center.
Michael Senjaya Kang (22/03/2017 04:11)
good hotel at a nice location. the loft concept is really innovative and useful for those on business. but the toilet size can be a challenge for someone big like myself.
Steven Jr Lee (01/03/2017 03:14)
Staff fulfil requests but you do not feel the warmth nor friendliness from them. The room has stale tobacco smell even though it is a non-smoking hotel with walls that are stained. Really hope the housekeeping can have more effort put into it. Toilets are extremely small. The 2 positive thing this hotel offers is the Handy Travel Companion for free which allows us to make unlimited international calls and local calls with unlimited data and the area the hotel is located which is full of bars and restaurant.
Nick Ang (05/02/2017 15:30)
Decent hotel. Great location but guests here are quite noisy. Nightclub is 20 mins walk away. Lots of good cafes and upscale restaurants nearby too! All in all, good place for couples to stay.
Alphin Aloor (12/12/2016 14:04)
Weird. Kinda like it. But not sure if everyone will.
The windows are amazing and massive.
The rooms and generally small.
The duplex thing is interesting. Quirky.
The washroom should be integrated. The sink, the wc and shower and completely different tiny pieces. Would have been great if the sink was integrated in washroom or shower.
It comes with a handy phone. which means free international calls and data. ask for it if you didn't get it. It's amazing.
Checkout is swift and impressive. Nobody even comes up to check the room, which feels more trustworthy and it's doesn't have a minibar, which traps you into paying for stuff. Just an empty fridge. Which is great!

Loved the hotel room . I although had an issue with breakfast where I was informed that my room was not on the breakfast list. I was sent back to the lobby where I had to confirm with the receptionist... And then come back to the breakfast area again. The hotel should know how to sort these matters Internally.
Reuben Blackie (08/10/2016 06:49)
Good hotel, reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Decent lap pool ang small gym. Limited but good quality cafe in the ground floor. Well located for more extensive eating and drinking options at Robertson Key area. Not too close to metro. Some of the rooms show their age. The rooms are loft style, with two layouts either bed in the loft or desk in the loft. Practically, the bed in the loft option is better
Arcturus E (27/10/2016 13:09)
Had a wonderful staycation. The sofa becomes a bed, and isn't very good if you want to lean on it against the wall as it will slide forward to 'transform'.
The toilet and shower area are 2 separate rooms which are small, other than that the place is extremely quiet and sitting by the stairs overlooking out toward MBS at night with the lights off is a really nice experience.
Having the bed on the second floor is a really nice and unique feeling that not many hotels have as well. The staff were very friendly during my check-in and out, and the holiday theme decors are a nice touch. I think the price makes this a great accommodation.
Ken Rhee Wong (21/10/2016 08:36)
Decently priced rooms, unique two storey lofts. However the bath and toilet are small. Overall appearance is good but there are wear and tear marks all over the place. Breakfast buffet selection is reasonable, but i still prefer my nasi lemak and noodles!
Martin Martinec (21/10/2016 08:19)
Small rooms, expensive, bad reception staff. Good pool, breakfast and location. Rest of the staff were great
Don Thompson (02/09/2016 03:44)
Fun place to stay, 2 level rooms. Good outdoor/poolside breakfast. Good location. Minor maintenance needs to be done - toilet door would not lock.
Hui Min (10/07/2016 15:14)
Made a reservation earlier but when we arrived there we were told to wait for an hour as the room were full, overheard tourist couldn't get a room too(most likely made a reservation. a while later received a call saying to downgrade our room with any refund/privileges, when turned down the offer, the manager sounded annoyed. Room was small but cleanliness made a pass. Apparently we were double charged as the card that's supposed to be charged couldn't process at the counter so we took out another card without getting any explanation. The hotel didn't even tell us about it, If we hadn't check our account statement, we would have paid for a hotel room for an unreasonable price.
Wa Yuk CHOY (09/07/2016 12:31)
1. Room is small and dusty (2 lights and toilet door lock are broken)
2. Furniture is old
3. Water pressure in shower room is really bad
4. 15 minutes walk to MRT station (The weather in Singapore is so hot in summer and it's outdoor)
5. Customer services is really slow
We requested for a shaver and called three times, the staff kept on replying that it's coming. We had been waiting for 30 minutes(4stars??) and we gave up. We went out and told the staff no need to deliver and she immediately gave it to us but when we called before and asked if we can come and get it and they said they don't have it in reception....speechless
Not recommend...can stay in a better hotel with the same price or even cheaper...I chose it because of the loft but no next time.
wan tinwai (21/06/2016 06:25)
A decent 4-star hotel that is value-for-money. Great for parties and families. Amenities are sufficient (jacuzzi, swimming pool, mini gym). Special thanks to the very helpful cleaning lady for level 3!
Mayie San Juan (26/05/2016 07:53)
Floor area of the room is too small, especially after you've brought in all your stuff. While the hotel wants to be hip and minimalist at the same time, it did not reflect in the room. It appeared ordinary and drab. The curtains were no longer pristine white and it felt dusty inside especially in the loft. The carpet and bed had cottonball dusts on them.
Ngan Tran (02/05/2016 01:27)
Room was in terrible condition upon check in. Wore down and chipped furniture. Requested for a Change of room and given a similarly run down room. Through out these times no staff came to our room to find out more. It was only the three time that our request was taken more seriously.
The sound isolation quality of the room is also terrible. We could hear adjacent rooms easily and this problem was compounded by the hotel allowing more than 2 guests per room.
It was also extremely difficult to call the front desk for assistance.
When it comes time for breakfast, there was no system nor process at the egg station. One would be told to come back later after ordering, only to realise that they have given all the eggs to people who came after you because they waited there. So you have to wait from scratch again. What is the point of asking you to come back later then?
