Had brunch here and the food was alright though the serving size was pretty big. The food is a little pricey however and, for that price, I would be expecting something a little better. I also felt that the coffee was way overpriced for both its quality and quantity compared to the other cafes that are nearby. I might come back to try some of the other brunches they have (had the eggs and toast with smoked salmon this time) to see if I just ordered the wrong things.

Decent brunch food and healthy eats. Coffee is really good. Go during off peak hours as it gets really crowded.

Went in for a lazy Sunday breakfast. Was pretty quiet. Nice minimalist industrial feel inside. Menu is quite good. Service was good, food came out quickly. Food was all very well prepared and tasty. Spot on for this type of place. Happy customer, we'll be back.

Kampong Bahru now has so many hip joints, this is another one of them. Bright, cheerful and always good coffee guaranteed. Cakes are ok. No one is perfect.

Easily one of my favourite waffle cafes!!!
Open till late on some days so it's perfect to just chill out!
Staff is friendly too and the environment is really cosy!
Highly recommend this place for friends to hang out and catch up over ice cream or maybe brunch food is pretty good too!

1* per criteria
- Service: Receptive welcome being first customer for morning, though took longer than expected to order. May need to actively grab their attention.
- Quality/Taste: Cannot fault anything about food (haloumi, corn + zucchini fritters) or coffee - 5*s!
- Price: Seems comparable to other places for quality.
- Atmosphere: Open, airy, and cool place similar to brunch spots in Melbourne. Could be noisy if busy/packed
Overall - Really cool place, great food and coffee, but possibly let down by slower than expected service. 4.5*s

In love with their indoor vibe and decoration. It so comfy and vintage. For their coffee, nothing special. Just a normal coffee they had here. Nonetheless, there’s some special drink, which called the matcha and white magic and is served in a bottle. The drink was really good! You may go for their dessert as well. If you don’t know which one to pick, Ask the receptionist. They happy to recommend to you :)

Coffee soft serve was brilliant! We had their strawberry waffles too, and the berry compote sure tasted like it was homemade. Very nice and not too sweet.
Do try their takeaway bottled drinks as well, which include White Magic (coffee blend) and Sea Salt Chocolate.

Great place for a brunch! The food is interesting, very tasty, quite healthy and reasonably priced. In addition to savory options they also make really nice waffles. We ordered the Vanilla ice-cream waffle which also came with fresh strawberries and bananas, it was nice fluffy and light!

Great Brunch and coffee spot! The poached eggs are always perfectly cooked and the smoked duck salad is outstanding. It's 4 stars instead of 5 because the service is just really slow - after you're seated the waiters don't pay attention anymore and you have to actively try to make them notice you to order...

Wonderful place, not noisy, maybe just a bit when lunch time. Açai and cold brew are nice. Cozy and bright place.

Oh my goodness. What an amazing space. I was having a tough morning and was quite hungry so I ventured in
Great ambience, amazing tea and food options. I couldn't decide and I'm pretty decisive!
See you again soon Stranger's Reunion

Great food and coffee. Seating might not be very comfortable as its quite squeezy. Truffle fries and spam fries are highly recommended. I'm a fan of their green tea latte too.

Really top notch cappuccino. Doesn't have that bitterness in it that you find in most other cafes.
Service is excellent!

It a very nice and cosy place to be at where you can enjoy a cup of nice brewed coffee couple with waffles ans truffle fries. They serve main course too.

Great service and ambience! Food was good too, the matcha and red bean waffle was really delicious. A good place to dine and catch-up with friends :)

Unpretentious cosy coffee joint that beckons you with their aromatic coffee brews upon entry. They do good salads, breakfasts and usual cafe fare but with pride. Good ambience and crowd.

Hipster, trendy place to hang with some friends or just solo. The whole place does smell of truffle though, and it's because of their truffle fries! Honestly the smell is much stronger than the actual flavour. The actual fries didn't actually have much truffle, it was the dip that was saturated with the truffle oil.
The highlight dish was definitely the Aburi Mentaiko Spaghetti ! So creamy and rich, and the sauce had this spicy kick right at the end, which elevated the dish to the next level.
Other orders:
- sweet potato chips were a delicious start to the meal, but not a must-order. The chips had a subtle sweet/tacky sauce that complimented the sweetness of the potato well.
- salted chocolate milk -- flavourful and cute little drink that comes in a retro dark glass bottle.
- avocado smoothie bowl with was not only delicious but also pleasing to the eye -- probably appropriate for breakfast, but still a healthy and hearty order at any time of the day
- pumpkin saffron risotto: delicious and filling; great order for vegetarians
- buttermilk waffles were so so, but the waffles weren't fluffy enough to be impressive. I also wouldn't recommend the rhubarb and poached pear (the pear was pretty sad), but maybe some of the others would be better. The vanilla bean ice cream was legit made with real vanilla bean though.
Pretty cool that all proceeds on Tuesdays goes to a cancer fund. Props!!

One of my Favourite branch place. Great service and delicious food. Will definitely visit again

Service is prompt and good. Toilet is very clean and pleasant. Like the fact that they are generous with the serviettes! Good cafe atmosphere and relatively spacious.
Food (brunch) wise, latte's design is cute but it tastes a little too bitter (too much caffeine). Ordered smoked salmon with 2 poached eggs and it tastes very normal. Fell below our expectations due to the good reviews.
Other than that, avocado smoothie is a rave. Comparable to SF juice. Recommended! :)
Portion is general but still, quite overpriced. Bill came out to be $58. Could have gone to better restaurant for dining.

Definitely a great place to enjoy a pancake and coffee. For brunch you can enjoy the omelettes which are really well executed...

Only been for brunch but dinner menu looks good as well. Sweet waffels (they all come with vanilla ice cream), smoothie bowls, coffee, tea and delicious cake. They blast the a/c so bring a jacket.

Sweet and cozy place with great coffee. The breakfast is yummy and we'll done. My eggs were perfect and th bacon was crispy. chairs could be more comfortable but still a brilliant little spot.

It's a cozy cafe. Smells of great coffee no apprise there... the food is good and has nice generous portions... Had limited vegetarian options revolving around pumpkin- pumpkin soup something and pumpkin risotto... The truffle fries here are really nice (served with fresh Parmesan)!

My favourite western food place in town. All the dishes taste amazing. Service is superb. Music selection is even tastier. By far the best brunch place along that stretch.

Amazing place to hang out and chill with your friends. The food here is flavourful. We ordered salmon and kale! - a must try.

Cool little brunch spot. The spicy baked eggs were amazing. Great coffee. Kids demolished the waffles
Isabella Tan (21/01/2017 08:09)
Nice cafe with good ambience. Staff is efficient and attentive. The waffles indeed tasted great as many other reviewers have mentioned.
Dennis Quah (22/10/2016 04:45)
Not quite large variety of mains for lunch but offerings were well executed (crab cake & croquette). Coffee was good. Cotton cheesecake was more like cotton pad cheesecake - dry. Reflected this to the server when she asked how the cake was and received a nonchalant (robotic) "ok thanks" reply.

Awesome staff and fast service with a nice ambience.
I tried the Strawberry Maceration waffle and I can say that the waffle was very light yet fluffy at the same time. In addtion, the Strawberries and the vanilla ice cream gave the waffle a slight tangyness yet sweet taste.
I also tried the 'Magic' coffee which is their signature coffee. A fragrant yet bold flavoured coffee.
Overall.the experience was a very good one.

Very good service, nice food, and best coffee.
Unfortunately, there is no wifi internet otherwise I would go there more often.

Decent coffee and wonderful waffles with a wonderful menu. A great place to see the hip people and have a feed or try one of their amazing waffles. The service and is good and parking is available behind on Neil Road. This place does get busy for lunch so go early.

Service is really good. Attentive, polite and prompt. The sausages and hash was yummy, and I loved my buttermilk waffle with milo crumble. The matcha latte wasn't that great for me. Will be back to try more!
Axman K (15/05/2016 09:25)
Had the waffles with vanilla ice cream and iced coffee. Waffles were crisp and yummy, perfectly complemented by the flavourful but not too sweet ice cream. The iced coffee was refreshing and had just the right balance of coffee acidity to the sweet ice cream. Recommended for a cuppa and waffle lovers.
Chih Siang Kwek (09/05/2016 04:23)
Had the breakfast menu salmon eggs benedict. The sweet hollandaise sauce is interesting and surprisingly went well with the eggs and salmon. I would recommend trying. Coffee is excellent though not the best I have tried.

Average coffee/brunch place with a huge following from university students and neighborhood residents. The food is pretty average. Last two times I went eggs were overcooked and sausages were subpar . Service is not very attentive thnx to the popularity of the place. Go to the plain on Craig rd or the lokal on Neil instead.
