Great food but long waiting time. Worth the queue tho

Good food and atmosphere with reasonable prices. Always crowded around dinner time. Go to their website to see daily promotions.

Staff explained that the shop closes early because there is insufficient crowd. Its only 2130 on a friday night. Advise management to change official timing. Wasted trip down. :(

Excellent food and pricing. Would totally go back again. Try the aburi platter and the signature roll!

Very long waiting time. They made us wait for one and half hours before letting us know that theres no more sushi left. Some warning would
be appreciated so that the customers waiting in line could make other plans.

Amazing salmon belly and Yellow tail belly sashimi!! Perfectly thick cut! Price is not cheap. But for such quality, I think it is totally worth it!

Great experience! Wednesday half-price for special rolls

Went at about 8-9ish. No queue. Loved the salmon belly and salmon don which just melts in your mouth. prices are slightly higher but thats fine with me.

Good meal but a bit too expensive. Worth a try though! Unagi is gooood!
Galardo Sugito (04/10/2017 02:02)
Good taste and value for money. A bit on the expensive side. Tried the Salmon Mentai Ikura Don
Nicole Goh (20/09/2017 14:06)
Extensive menu. Crowds come at 7-ishpm, so do come early! Wednesdays are 50% off specialty rolls day! Rolls were good and tasty, goes well with a cup of hot green tea :) service was okay. We ordered soba too, and it was alright! The noodles are more q at this place compared to other places.

Just Average Chirashi Don at Standing Sushi Bar on 2Sep2017
watching a performance at china cultural centre queen street.
CM & i arranged to have early dinner at standing sushi bar which is a few steps away from the chinese cutural centre at 5pm-ish. I parked at hotel royal which charged per entry from 5pm..all quite perfect.
my sis & her family 3pax joined us for dinner. ^^my sis ordered the same chirashi don.
for me, this chirashi don was ok not that great… and S$30 is too pricey for this standard. CM commented that the crabstick lowered the image of the dish.the sashimi were thick cut & more like chikuwatei style. they were fresh & good sashimi but there was no premium cuts like toro, botanebi or akaebi, or even amaebi, just a cooked prawn, no uni etc.
they have promotion S$19.90 for this same chirashi don on sunday. i think that would be a more reasonable price.for this, i think tanuki raw (orchard central) chirashi don lunch at S$22.90 was better deal. ok maybe not by much too – just uni & negi toro!my niece & her husband are buddhist & vegetaran.they ordered the vegetarian don, a mango maki & another maki.the vegetarian should be ok..the mango maki looked fine too.overall, just an average place with so many sushi & sashimi places including the japan food town stalls around.
i don’t mind this but wouldn’t specially come here. la…

Location is good, not far from Bras Basah MRT exit.
Quite a wide variety of food to choose from and there are different promotions everyday (eg Sunday is discounted don, Wednesday is half price for special rolls).
Wait time for food is reasonable, food quality is ok. Some items on menu are really overpriced considering the quality.
I don't mind coming back for the set menu or daily promo but it will be for casual or quick dinner as the place is really not the comfortable type where you would want to hang around longer.
I think I should mention that while I was eating, I saw a unidentifiable insect crawling on our table (not in the food luckily).

Overpriced food. The quality at this Standing Sushi Bar outlet is average, and gets especially bad when they are having their specials. For instance during cheap sashimi days, the sashimi looks like it was butchered rather than sliced.
Sasha Bao (21/03/2017 09:10)
Three dollar sashimi promo every Mon and Thurs. Basically the only reason why you would come here. Thick slices of sashimi but not the freshest nor the largest around.
Natasha Wong (04/03/2017 13:09)
The only worth dish is the promotion on sashimi, but the quality of the salmon is not up to a standard I would like - plus they only give you more choice cuts if you order much more eg >30 slices
Wen Qin Lee (04/03/2017 05:21)
Cheap sashimi on certain days of the week. The place is really crowded past 6pm. The sashimi isn't really that nice but it's good for its price.
Lim Chong Yan (03/03/2017 13:02)
Go on Monday and Thursday for their $3 for 5 pieces of sashimi. Queues will be there though. Max 50 min dining time. All diners must be present before being seated.
William Wen Bin (23/02/2017 15:59)
Came here solely for the $3 to 5 salmon shasimi promotion. Reach a bit late (6.15pm) and the queue is alrdy quite long. But they allow you to cut queue if everybody in your group is there. Didn't order other foods since nothing else is more worthy compare to the shasimi.
Taste wise, I will say that it is what you get for what you paid, as the some of the salmon are not very fresh but edible, but some are fresh, depend on your luck. Definitely will come again for other foods
Peng Tiong Pang (29/01/2017 15:25)
Love the sushi here! Especially their aburi sushi.
Worth the money especially if you come during weekday nights with their 50% off!
Jinq-Yi Lee (20/09/2016 13:02)
Its traditional Tuesday-day 50% off for Nigiri Sushi & Sashimi. Sashimi are fresh and the slices are generous.
San Lee (06/09/2016 13:14)
Good and bang for bucks sushi and sashimi. Tip: Visit on Wednesdays for 50% off all their specialty rolls!
Jialin Ng (08/07/2016 05:45)
Loved the sushi here. It's cosy here and not too crowded for a Sunday around 5.30pm. The puff the magic dragon wasn't that amazing, it smelt a little fishy from the eel (unagi )
Seok Lee (06/07/2016 01:34)
Lovely maki. Go on a Wednesday and take advantage of the 50% discount on specialty maki. It's really worth it. The $3 salmon sashimi on Mondays are also a good deal but you won't get full on it. My 2nd visit; still as happy as my first visit. Especially great if you are visiting Sam@8Q (the Singapore Art Museum)
Koh MG (07/06/2016 03:59)
The rockstar maki is pretty good. Our table ordered one more after tasting it. Food quality is good
Jie Bo Ti (04/05/2016 04:11)
The quality is pretty good, their maki is unique are generally great. Check their Facebook page for the daily promotions. Expect a queue.
Yeow Jianhao (06/01/2016 14:01)
Mondays are generally crowded due to the cheap sashimi. As the name says - standing sushi bar - they try to clear you up once you're done eating, so definitely not a place you can and should sit to catch up over a long period of time. Good quality Japanese food nonetheless!
