We visit Sloane Court for meals whenever my daughter is back in Singapore. She loves the Chicken ala King and Oxtail Stew. We always feels nostalgic about that place; the old English charm of the whole place, the collection of guns in the dining room, etc. It brings back lots of memories for our family as a gathering place for lunch or dinner. Food has always been value for money, the waiter we knew for years always shower the guests with great attention. We don't know how long this place will remain as its surroundings are now redeveloped with high-rise apartments.

I visited the restaurant for a nostalgic meal. Good service and reasonable pricing.

Live the classical setup. It's like entering a time machine that brings you back to the 70s.. ox tail stew is still my favorite dish

A must visit place to enjoy the nostalgia setting. They probably never renovated the place since the 70s?

Old school building, reminds me of a hotel and pub in the UK. Ample free parking outside and close to Orchard road

The ladies who run the hotel are like your long lost Aunties! They're very friendly, and you feel at home. Yes, it's an old hotel, but if you're looking for a quaint, quiet (very quiet), and friendly place, come and stay here. And yes, they have wifi!
Transportation note for travelers:
1. Nearest station is NEWTON. Take exit C, walk down Bukit Timah, and turn left on BALMORAL ROAD (Balmoral Plaza commercial building is at the corner of these 2 roads). Sloane Court is at the right side of the road.
2. Taking taxi or Uber: tell driver to turn on Balmoral Road. Direction apps seem to direct you to go to the street behind the hotel. It's a dead end, with no access to the hotel. BALMORAL ROAD is where you want to alight.
