The exhibition was really interesting and would go back again with my family. Really a great place to take a step back and enjoy art

The architecture is awesome. Just walking around the surroundings and the corridor is an enjoyable experience. The arches, the shadow, the pillars are lovely places for a stroll in the evening. A really meaningful photography spot

Porte Cocheres? More than 150 years old French styles Architecture building. Love its night photo.

Under reconstruction, able to visit into two only expositions in less than two hours. Good time spent to understand the difference between Eastern and Western modern arts.

The interior of this museum is splendid! Contains varieties of famous artists' artworks, including informative panels for visitors to learn from and some Singaporean art. It is both educational and fun! Useful for helpful school learning journeys as it encourages students to express their emotions through art. Superb, educational and beautiful. Totally recommended to tourists who appreciates great art and would love to learn a bit about Singaporean culture.

The place is very easy to find and near to the mrt station. 1 hour is enough to see it completely. You will find here interesting. Many good spots to take pictures. And there are some places near here with a good view so you must visit all of them too.

Main building is closed for renovations, but SAM@8Q was great. Interesting exhibitions.

Went for Yayoi Kusama's exhibition. A nice place for a wonderful event. The weekend crowd was insane though.

The Art Museum removes the free entry privilege for Singapore's senior citizens whenever there is a special and unique art exhibition.

Cute little place with some child friendly exhibitions. A must visit when you stroll around SG.

The museum is big and spacious and the interior is just mesmerizing. Really old style but beautiful as well. The exhibitions changes overtime and they are always interesting to see. A few exhibitions going on in the same time making us not bored

Was here to see After Utopia Exhibition, back then it was free, no admission fee. I love the building, the interior, and the artworks, it is all beautiful.

While on a short trip to Singapore we stopped by the Museum to see their 'Future World' display. The exhibit was interactive and quite fun to experience for all ages. Highly recommended to spend some time relaxing and enjoying the futuristic technology while playing.

Museum for those who are into contemporary art. Some were interesting, some were weird.

Also known as Sam, is a nice art museum in a former school grounds. Has lots of art from south east Asia and is a great place to visit during special festivals.

Singapore's largest contemporary museum/gallery. Exhibitions are hit or miss but great overall. The building the works are housed in was an old colonial-era school. Gorgeous.

I was only here briefly but the Singapore Biennale 2016: An Atlas of Mirrors
was thought provoking and interesting. You really need at least 2 hours to go through the whole venue.

An excellent institution for SEA Contemporary Art collection and runs a highly recommended Docent program . Love this space !

I have visited Singapore many times but not this particular museum for several years. I think the arrival of the new National Gallery has perhaps affected the rationale for the SAM and I was disappointed in the changes I observed. The signage is all out of date, there is no cafe (we were actually advised to go to Starbucks across the road - please!) and the shop is a shadow of its former self. We saw some interesting installations and art works which we enjoyed, but they were not grouped in a manner easy to access because of the signage problem. This is a unique building which deserves better treatment. We wish them well in finding their own special place in the Singapore arts scene.

Most wonderful museum I've ever been to! The Singapore Biennale was taking place and regrouped artists from all over Asia. There were so many things to see and feel. The installations were amazing, challenging the way you thought. It was a bit easy to get lost here but I always found my way back.

Tiffani Ng (09/12/2016 23:01)
Really nice contemporary (South East Asian) art museum, but the layout of it is a bit confusing and the main stairs were closed for renovation. The theme was "Atlas of Mirrors" when we went, and it was an apt metaphor. I wholly recommend joining the guided tours. There's a lot of context that is important in understanding the art (especially true for contemporary art).

Angelina Yeager (21/10/2016 02:17)
This was a very educational visit, I've learned so much from this museum! Thank you for all of your this

Edwin Tan Boon How (03/10/2016 18:06)
Always amazed by the art works here. Once in a while they also have special limited time exhibitions that are worth a look
Do come and visit.

One of my favourite museums for its floor tiles, really Instagramable. It's restored well and houses a plethora of history.

Danielle West (02/09/2016 02:19)
A great place to relax, find inspiration and see some amazing installations. Open late Friday to reset and get ready for the weekend.

Dervin L. (29/06/2016 14:30)
Great place to visit. I enjoyed the exhibitions that were featured there. Defintely would recommend Singaporeans and Permanent Residents to visit as admission is free and it is convenient to access as the closest MRT station, Bras Basah, is nearby.

Sean Seah (13/06/2016 12:08)
Great exhibitions. Excellent for the family. Expect to queue though as each exhibition area is rather small.

Modern art in the middle of the city. Can consider visiting the pretty good national history museum which is nearby too!

Jo OY (04/01/2016 09:04)
Previously a prestigious Catholic missionary school (started by order of the De La Sale brothers) that produced many of Singapore's cabinet ministers, including the current President. One of a kind architecture with its grandeur unmatched by any other building. Now a museum hosting art works of modern artists.
