Still some of the best nasi lemak in Singapore.

Anyone who thinks spending 20 minutes in the queue for this has got to have their heads checked. I mean they were good like 10-15 years ago before they became famous, but now? They're a chain. Everything is done to maximise profit, there is no love in the food here, only the love of your hard earned money.
It's a little bit above average la, but not worth waiting when you can get similar quality at the other stalls. I queued and expected to be blown away since everyone was waiting and was simply disappointed.
Rice is lemak, chicken is crispy, sambal is sweet. I think the Ayam Penyet stall also about the same if not better and for same amount I pay I get a large chicken leg vs one tiny chicken wing. Seriously don't BOTHER queing.

Crispy chicken wing, fried just nice with juicy meat and dry bone. Hot fluffy basmati rice with a hint of coconut milk. Ikan billis is crisp and crunchy when bitten. Chili sauce and Otak is OK. Price is slightly on high side.
Only item to consider when you are queuing, they are 2 men operation team, sometime somethings in life - is it worth the wait?

The rice has a special flavor cause it has been cooked with coconut milk. Combined with the tasty sauce, this is a wonderful choice.

Flavourful chilli and crispy chicken. Not sure if it's worth the wait though.

One of the best Nasi Lemak stalls in Singapore, rice is fragrant and ingredients used are tasty. Only downsides are the long queues and telephone orders that may lead to long waiting times. Certain ingredients like the otah also sell out early.

Love the the Nasi made with basmati rice. Chicken wing tastes better than the famous one in Changi Village. 👍

This Nasi Lemak is overrated. The sambal is sweet and watery. And the coconut rice tasted bland. These two very important components have failed badly in the taste section. The price is expensive too.

The wait is worth it.
Unbeatable nasi using bismati rice and fried chicken not replicable anywhere else. Be early (before 11am) so that you can get the yummy begedil and otak-otak too.

One of the best nasi lemak u can get. Crispy chicken wing with great chilli.

Two stars for the fluffy long grain rice. I know good food you have to wait, but if the wait (from 30 mins to one hour plus) is caused by inefficient order taking, food preparation and money collection (all done by one person while the other guy just stands there and jokes around), then it really destroys the customers appetite. Wanted to order extra chicken wing but was told they don't do that since they have already counted the exact amount of chicken wings with the amount of rice they're going to sell. Yes, this is my last time there.

Beautiful. Very tasty and satisfying and I dont usually like nasi lemak. Chicken wing very crispy skin and tender meat. Chilli sauce is well balanced. Would easily come back for more.

If you are going to the stall at AMK, call them first to avoid being disappointed that they can't serve you even a plate of the nasi because they happened to be working on a big order!

One of the few better Malay Nasi Lemak or Coconut Milk Rice. Second generation in operation.Very fragrant Basmati Rice which are slightly elongated Rice.
The chilli are slightly sweet and not too spicy. Worth a try

I don't think I know nasa Lemak well enough to judge this dish. I have been told by all of the locals that it's the best so I accept it for what it is. It's an hour wait to be able to eat here though

Like many of the reviewers, I agree it is a delectable combination. Enjoyed the Royal Flush that makes up most of the favourites! Finished it off with a nice Teh Halia. In local speak - Shiok Lah!
Jackson Seng (16/07/2016 06:50)
One of my top choice nasi lemak stalls. The chilli is sweet and they use basmati rice.
Jimmy Liaw (17/06/2016 08:38)
Hands-down my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE nasi lemak....better than many that I have tried, that have garnered good ratings.
This is the only nasi lemak store (that I know) that uses basmati rice.
I can just eat the rice and sambal...

It's really about the rice at Selera Rasa. Yes, the fried chicken wing is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, the anchovies taste like those from every other nasi lemak stall, but it's the rice that truly nails it for me.
Unlike other stalls, Selera uses basmati rice, which gives the dish that extra fragrance and taste. It feels much lighter than the traditional short grain variety.
Certainly lives up to its name as the best nasi lemak in Singapore, and worth queueing up for. Even the Sultan of Brunei requests for it for breakfast when he is in Singapore!

Long queue. Have to wait a long time. Decent nasi lemak. They use basmati rice instead of the regular grain. Sambal is the sweet variety.
Khoon Wah Low (23/04/2016 19:58)
Expect a long queue, great tasting nasi lemak, albeit the wait being abit too long.

nice chilli and nasi lemak...long queues
