Three words, wow, Wow, and WOW!. I have lived in both Boston, MA, USA and Chicago, IL, USA and have been to their and other science museums. This one is probably the best I have ever been to and held both of our attentions for hours.
The tickets were $12 a person but I believe this may have been a special and didn't include any of the extras like the butterfly exhibit or any of the 3d / 2d movies.
The place is ENORMOUS and care should be taken to follow their arrows or walk in a systematic route to ensure you don't miss anything. The outside of the building looks dated but don't be fooled everything inside is modern and well looked after. The outside also has a small water park for the kids.
The inside is filled with fun and interesting scientific stops and events for all ages. We went on a Sunday and it was empty but I am sure it varies greatly. There's also an eco garden but we couldn't really figure out what we were supposed to be seeing outside of an actual classroom for the kids.
I would highly recommend this "Science Center Singapore" to anyone in the area, it was awesome.

A renewed place with new exhibits that spice up the nostalgic feeling I’ve had as a kid. Tours for primary school students are still being held here. There are also guided tours and “booths” manned by Science Centre staff to provide explanations to guests and kids. Tickets are affordable for tourists / foreigners and for singaporeans, it is free entrance during off peak hours. Snow city and a kids playground is also nearby.

A really great place to take the kids in Singapore. It’s surprisingly big. With great exhibits and lots to do. It’s not expensive and well worth the visit.

The exhibition is relevant well maintained and extensive. The commentary is very well written and interesting. Curious that maps r not kept for distribution and you are asked to take photos especially when the plan is not entirely intuitive. The butterfly exhibit.eas quite small and the 360 degrees theater could do well with better movies

This is my 3rd time here for the past 1 year. They have different installation on ocassions and you can come by for free on weekdays (for local only, weekend charge is $6).
There is this very small, "face your fear" exhibit that just started. I didn't took any photo :/
But this is definitely a great place to bond with your kids ♡
There are some exhibits that require you to buy extra ticket so take note on where you really want to go (:

Singapore has created something amazing here. It challenges kids curiosity of science and the world. Has so many areas which you can visit and so many things and activities to do, you can easily spend a whole day and not get bored. The prices are so reasonable for the amount of activities offered and food is not overly expensive. Highly recommend a visit for young curious minds.

For school going children (primary to secondary) there are workshops conducted. The workshops are highly interactive and adopt a hands-on approach.
There are now many new exhibits.

Nice place to be explored with your family. There are many activities inside there. You can watch nature movies in Omni Theater, "touch" Butterfly life, see many "creative" experiments and don't forget to enjoy TESLA show at 5 PM in the hall. Fantastic show with 3.5 million volt!!!

Never bored of this place! Wonderful ambience and learning or re-learning science is definitely an eye opening experience. Science center has been consistently upgrading and bringing in new equipments and designs to spice up that learning experience. Definitely a great place to bring your children on weekends! And fully aircondition so great for older folks too!

This is my happy place. Super fun, engaging, innovative and a great place to discover stuff! Spent the entire afternoon there and it was not enough. Extremely amazed by the mirror maze exhibition (aka The Extraordinary Light Exhibit), which was eye-opening and really impressive. Didn't expect an exhibit of such high standard at the science centre. Ticket price was also really affordable ($6 on weekends, free on weekdays for students). Highly recommend for an entire day's of activity! :-)

Love coming here but facilities are getting a little dated. Despite that, it still does what it does - get kids (and even adults) to love science and be curious.
Nick Doggett (24/11/2017 14:03)
Great place. Very interesting. Take your time and don't try to do everything in a day.
Rama Kaalia (21/11/2017 07:05)
Visited omnitheatre there. It's a good to have experience, one of its kind with the dome shaped screen. A kind of dizzying in the beginning but quite fascinating show

The facility is always so much fun for my 3yo. The exhibits are done in such a way that he can grasp the concepts behind the science, but older children will benefit from the in-depth opportunities available for them. The in-person activities in which a presenter talks about the demonstration is great. I just would like more space exhibits for my son the large room with projectors is cool but a little lacking in the information.

The science centre is usually a great place to take the kids, there is a lot to do here - from water play through to fire storms, you generally can't go wrong as a day out. The observatory unfortunately had a bit of a problem when we went to visit and they didn't communicate it very well, but will definitely try to go again and hopefully it'll be better next time!

Best place for kids to know and learn science. It has demo of various scientific facts especially Tesla's experiment. Butterfly world was amazing..

Love coming here at least once a year to see the rotating installations! This place never gets boring for me. Have participated in some of their workshops and competitions before too, and I have to say that they are very efficient and know how to organize events smoothly.

This is an excellent venue for hands on activities for primary aged children. The group of children that we took here spent several hours playing in the different sections. They also enjoyed watching the displays especially the fire tornado. If you have primary aged children it is definitely worth a visit.
Koshitha Peramunugamage (27/08/2017 08:47)
Great place to explore science facts in a very practical way. Better you allocate one full day to science Center. Kids can learn in an interactive manner while enjoying. The omni theatre movie is a must watch when you visit the science center.
Ck Tee (05/08/2017 00:06)
Amazing as the place had evolved from the 80s to now. Great to be back after so long period. They have different category of displays, area of interest and etc. The audience including children and adults will have them interesting and able to learn something from these displays and exhibitions. You will probably spend half a day here to go thru them in details.

Wonderful place to bring the kids on the weekend. Educational and entertaining for the children. Better than wasting money on entertainment with zero educational value.
Highlight was certainly the butterfly garden, which was very well maintained with loads of butterfly species.
Downside was that some of the exhibits are poorly maintained, especially the defence exhibits. Not that children need to see military science anyway but if there's an exhibit on it, it should be maintained at the very least.
Jonathan Greenstein (18/06/2017 09:56)
An awesome interactive science centre. Great for kids and adults. From mazes to the history of scientific research and discovery; my school aged kids have made several field trips here and this was my first time going, I was amazed with everything there is to see and do.
Plenty of places to grab a bite or coffee without having to leave the centre.
Do visit the Mirror Maze, the largest in Asia, lots of fun.
Overa a must visit for anyone in Singapore.
Cyrel Tramel (17/06/2017 10:01)
I really wanted to give this place 4 or 5 stars, I really did, but it just didn't meet the standards I had for it. While the center itself is impressive I was disappointed that many of the more interactive and impressive exhibits we're broken. The shows should also be more frequent allowing more people to see each of them. The kids most certainly enjoyed the center so there is that.
Gaurav Gupta (14/06/2017 11:43)
A wonderful place to take kids. Went with 2 kids aged 11 and 13 years and had a wonderful time. Live sessions every hour were nice. I would suggest visitors mark one complete day in calendar. Got discounted tickets by email from qoo10.

This is a wonderful place not only for the kids but also for the adults. So much fun with learning. It is one of the not to miss Singapore attractions. It has water play area where children can enjoy as well as learn fundamental science.
Can go to snow park along with science centre.
Volker Pellny (27/04/2017 06:44)
Interesting place for everybody esp. for kids. The centre is offering plenty of things.
kishor sutar (27/04/2017 03:20)
Visit this place if you're science freak.
They arrange good events on each quarter. I have visited Avengers events and it was mesmerizing.
Chris Bacon (14/04/2017 12:07)
Well worth a visit bigger than we thought it would be. And it's very hands on. Kids really enjoyed it.
Andrew Yam (05/03/2017 12:03)
One of the best indoor activity venues for kids in Singapore. Get the membership for unlimited entry for a year. You can also get free entry to great science centres in other countries, like petrosains in KL.
Jian Lin Lee (04/03/2017 06:04)
This place has been a to-go attraction for me since young. A good place for youngsters and the young-at-heart to learn about science. It might not be as big or well-budgeted as some of the science museums in the states, but it has plenty with a local flair.
KOH JING WEI, JAE HCI (31/01/2017 09:14)
This is definitely a must-go location in Singapore! They combine fun and science in interesting activities. My kids really loved it, especially the butterfly enclosure. The tesla coils and the fire tornado was one of the best highlights. They have a nice gift shop there which sell fire tornado kits. However, some exhibitions were a bit expensive. A well-rounded science center!
Michael Nanana (17/01/2017 15:19)
Used to come here when I was primary 4. Singapore citizen goes in for free. But only for science center. other place as such snow city need pay . Really really nice place to get your self lost with *amazing science*
Sing Eu Chan (08/11/2016 16:20)
Super fun and educational attraction to bring the kids and even adults! Great for locals and visitors. Lots of very interesting (and often refreshed) exhibits to learn more about science and technology. It sometimes also features exclusive exhibitions (e.g. on science and technologies used in Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, Lords of the Ring, etc). If you are looking for a place to spend some time in West of Singapore, you should go visit it!
Andy Howells (11/10/2016 09:38)
It's unclear what ages they are targeting. A lot of the exhibits require a lot of reading, which I guess is due to the complexity of the topics they are trying to convey. But this detracts from the fun and the reason of going somewhere you expect to interact with the exhibits. Expect that some exhibits just don't work even after one of their regular maintenance shutdowns. It doesn't look like this is an attraction of which Singapore wants to be proud.

IT IS B. O. R. I. N. G. BORING. WHEN I SMALL KID I GO THERE NOW I DONT GO FOR LJ I UNWELL SUCH UGLY EXPERIMENTS
Wang Jiale (27/08/2016 13:08)
A place with highly informative exhibits. I never fail to learn something new every time I visit this place. Tickets are reasonably priced too (at times entry may even be free).
Kaptain Kerr (21/08/2016 05:45)
Cool fun. Was about to give it 4 stars as so many things for kids both inside and out. Then I remembered the outdoor water play area. Awesome with fountains and buttons to press for more water squirting kid fun.
Parag Bhatnagar (30/07/2016 13:04)
One of the few science centers I've visited as an adult and still found things to get excited about. Mostly come here for the conferences and meetings now, but I still hang around to tour the place. I suppose it'd be a great place to bring the kids along.
Venkat Chandramoleshwar (06/07/2016 08:03)
Great educational and fun place for kids. Loved the Human Body exhibit though it is a temporary one and is closing soon. (Has a separate entry fee that covers you to experience the human body twice.) Many halls and exhibits. McDonald's is on site.
Trent Collins (01/07/2016 01:00)
Excellent day for the kids and family. Lots of hands on activities and demonstrations to keep everyone entertained. Worth a visit.
Nathaniel Ng Li Wen, (19/05/2016 14:30)
Loved this place since childhood. With many things to explore and a macdonalds on site. No child will ever be bored!

Much and more than enough for my 7 yr and 11 yr old kids. More for kids, babies, toddlers and children Love to bring my kids there during june and november december holidays.
Colin Hong (10/04/2016 05:57)
It's getting boring and old here (especially the permanent exhibits)... However, I do like the beautiful Omnitheater! :) Hopefully the new Science Center coming up will be amazingly whacky!!!
