Went there in January for Sec 3 camp.the food was horrible, the toilets were dirty, and we had to sleep in stuffy, small tents on the grass (sometimes the tents will be waterlogged) . We have to wake up at 7, sleep at 1030/11. I couldn’t take it and fell asleep when the teacher was talking. You will get very strong muscle ache because u will have to walk through rocky paths, and Long winding dirt paths.btw, the Milo pond is literally useless.the food was horrible for me, because I couldn’t take it and puked on the second day when I smelt dinner.the breakfast was nasty because we ate noodles drizzled with a lot of oil, like a lot. I wanted to vomit when I smelt the noodles.best to bring snacks there in a container which is very tight and Ant proof. In terms of camp, I find the moe camp much better as it isn’t as remote as this and the food is way better( the breakfast and supper are delicious, they serve gardenia bread with Tucker’s jam and peanut butter, supper is old school biscuits with fresh hot Milo, has just right Amt of sweetness) u can get second helpings too at moe camp, just that the bees there are unbearable and harmful), btw the rice is normal white rice from my exp in primary five while sarimbun has rice with red skin(probs red bean or brown rice?)
The only thing decent abt sarimbun is the distilled water, the absailing, zip line etc and the Instructors.most Instructors are very good and will help u with stuff , refill your water bottle for u, remind u to drink up .they will also encourage u and most instructors don’t scold really loudly , except for a few. Most of them are in their twenties, some are even fresh out of poly. U can be Friends with them if u want.tip; bring tiger balm for when u get dizzy, must always alert instructor if not feeling well, bring prickly heat powder( red one would be best) cos it’s more cooling on skin, and bring food for those Super picky eaters like me( u can bring potato chips, gardenia bread in a Super tight screwed metal container? Personal taste . Must drink a lot, a lot of water

Nice place for people to camp as a big group but not sure if it is open to public and have a lot of facilities there.

Extreme bad terrains to get there. Tyres and suspension will spoil for the long road into this place. Large holes with rocks and stones. No light either. Rundown, dirty place.

Fond memories of myself during scout camp.

Alot of mosquitoes, even mosquitoe repellent won't help. Buildings are dirty especially the huts. Many dead insects were found. However, it's a fairly good camping site as it is away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

A place where you want to gain experience of your strength

My only complaint was that our campers had to clean the bathrooms for another group and that group didn't do anything. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Relatively good place for camp, just that have lots of mosquitoes that gives lots of mosquitoes bites after a few days of camp. Have clean tap water, impressive for a campsite like that

No proper walking path and quite muddy when raining but good experience walking in squishy mud
Calista Lim (06/01/2017 06:20)
Unorganized schedule, we had to sleep on the floor, dirty toilets and we didn't get the chance to try any obstacles. The only thing decent there is the food and the ice breaker games.

Muddy at times but still a nice place

Great place to take kids under 10 for a day of outside fun. Well worth being a Cub scout.

Horrible place, endangerment to people. Hope this place closes soon.

Went for last year Sec 3 camp, quite fun especially the mud activity. But cannot turn on the air-condition at the huts and it was hot inside as there is only 1 wall fan. 😥

Nice place for spending a few days camping. (but there are no other choice 😏)
Dark Rangerz (03/04/2016 07:46)
The place was alright but the huts were too stuffy and uncomfortable inside. It might have been better to sleep in the multi-purpose hall. The campfire was alright and the experience was ok at best.

Not bad place for sec. 1-2 camps. Quite a number of activities that most will quite enjoy. The instructors and camp chief were kind from "High Achievers Consultancy", which is hired by my school, depends on which company your school hires. The toilets now have been improved, and maintained well. For my camp, it is in campsite B. I don't really know well about campsite A, but I heard you have tent houses to sleep, as for campsite B, you either sleep in the classrooms if it is raining, or pitch tents in the designated field.
