It was a very impressive lift ride up to the restaurant. It is definitely creative using sight and sound to gear up for a unique ambience. Stunning views all round the restaurant. Food is generally good. Waiting service a little inconsistent though. We were quite impressed initially when each dish is served, the waiter will tell what dish is being served. However not all the staff do that and eventually each dish was just placed on the table. We were there for a wedding lunch and I personally feel that quality service should remain consistent regardless of the type of patron.

Excellent view from the top. Literally a 360° view above Ion Shopping Centre. Was there for an event and the exquisiteness was absolutely charming. The food and drinks served were also very nice. Definitely a place to visit and experience. Staff on duty was truly charming and professional.

A great view of singapore. We had the tasting menu for dinner. The food mostly hits one or two misses. However that wagyu was fantastic. So well cooked very melt in your mouth. Service was great too. We had a very good time. Will definitely come back for another round.

Knocking a star off my rating as I was massively judged by the receptionist. I was told the venue was full and after much persistence I eventually made it up to the very much empty restaurant. It’s not busy if you can count the number of customers. Thank god for the amazing service by the bartender and waiting staff or this would’ve been a negative experience. Beautiful views across Singapore and really well done cocktails.

Had a great lunch over at Salt Grill & Bar for my 31st birthday, lovely treat from the missus.
The price is a little on the high side but the food is great and the view is breathtaking. Quite an experience to be dining so high up, so it's definitely a vote for me.
Portion wise, expect to get hungry if you are a big eater, but you will otherwise do fine with deserts and more.

Awesome Vday lunch venue. Set lunch is reasonably priced and the food is great! View is also awesome. And the lift up is an experience that I will remember.

Would recommend reserving a window seat at 6.30pm because the view is spectacular (especially on a clear day). The restaurant’s interior is chic and contributes to the whole experience because of its partially glass roof. Would recommend the lamb shank. One of the best I’ve tasted.

Came here for a birthday dinner celebration. Food was above average and slightly overpriced. But I guess it make it up with the great service and view. Diners are generally well dressed and soft spoken. Great for a romantic outing.
Love the drinks and the nice warm bread they serve.
We were given a complimentary photo of us celebrating the birthday. A nice gesture from the establishment. Well Done!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is flavourful. The ambience is really nice.

The view is it's saving grace. Food was good, but not worth the price, dress code wasn't maintained. People in shorts, t-shirts, baseball caps. It's not the standard that world class restaurants present.

Came here for a birthday dinner. I guess it’s suppose to be a fine dining romantic restaurant but something with the lighting and furniture that make it feel more like a bistro rather than fine dining, but that’s ok. You can’t really see much of a view a night, too much reflection from the lighting. I ordered a steak which was actually delicious. I wouldn’t really come back again simply because there’s so many other places to try in SG and there’s nothing about this place that’ll make me what to come back.

A great place to grab a well made reasonable priced drink with an awesome view!
From 12 to 7.30 drinks and wine are 10$ and beer is 9$!

Went for a 6 course tasting menu. Nothing to rave about for the food. Service was okay, not top notch. Pretty much just paying for the view while dining. The good thing about that dinner was that, the restaurant wasn't very packed.

Views are amazing. This is a must see venue in Singapore and the drinks are great too!!!

Excellent view of the Orchard area. For the price, the food is just average although the view more than makes up for it.
Great place for a date.

The ambiance was impeccable, and the food---amazing. Would definitely go back for that truffle mashed potato alone.

The service was fantastic and the wait staff were always attentive.
The ambience was great and fairly quiet. We made a 7pm reservation, so we had a good view of the sunset over the city, as we were eating the delicious complimentary chips and dip.
Our main courses arrived very promptly. On the advice of the waitress, the lady had a Wagyu Rump slightly rarer than she was used and she still found it delicious. I had the Kurobuta Pork and wiped the plate clean as well.
The wine selection is fairly extensive. Advice can also be given on food pairings.

I was brought here by a friend for a birthday celebration 4 years back and since then I have been coming back to enjoy the great ambience, service and food- all three are hard to find in Singapore at one place which makes the place worthwhile for a celebration . Also the set lunches are reasonable priced and offers great food. Perfect for a office outing or meeting a girlfriend for lunch!

We went here on NYE and really enjoyed it. Great views and service was excellent. Was perfect watching fireworks with no crowds too!

Ambience: 5/5
Food: 3/5
Drinks: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Value for money: 3/5
Located at the 55th level, this restaurant has one of the best views, which greatly adds to your dining experience. Furthermore, this restaurant has impeccable service - right from their reception at level 4 to your dining table at level 55.
I had their set lunch and it was disappointingly average. They have excellent range of delicious alcohol but stay away from their draught beers as they tasted a little flat. Overall, it was a good experience.
Recommendation:
Wine, Scallop, Snapper and Strawberry Sorbet

The view from the top of Ion Orchard was awesome. Service was great and speedy. We had the recommended crab omelette, which was great. The wagyu rump was the main, a bit disappointing because it was really chewy. Not expected for the price honestly. Service recovery was quick so kudos to the restaurant.
Dessert was the banana parfait. Awesome and reasonably priced compared to entree and main. Worth considering the restaurant for special occasions.

Modern Australian with a View
Atop the ION mall with stunning views of the city, this place churns out Australian Asian fusion dishes. Expect to pay for the ambience though the service is impeccable as well.
The Damage (no drinks): S$160-250 for two
~~TRY😍:
80% Molten Choco Cake [warm lava cake with 'choco soil' for texture]
Charcuterie
Prime Rib with Truffle Butter [sinful truffle butter spread atop their juicy perfectly grilled steak]
Scallops with XO Sauce

Nice view, however windows were not very clean. Tenderloin was good, but overpriced. Wine/beer/soft drinks prices are extortionate. 8 dollars for a coke, 18-20 for a small bottle of beer is taking the piss.
Koebi CK (07/10/2016 00:29)
Highlight of the dinner is the Choco molten cake. Entrée scallops is also highly recommended. An introduction of various choices of beef beforehand is a nice touch. Though the crab omelette is plain. Might come back for the oysters.

Nice ambience with fantastic view of Singapore. I have my Wagyu steak it's great and overall experience is good, expensive though, but hack it's father's day.

Ambience is nice as i was having dinner with my family of 5. Food was good and we live the steaks. The truffle chips were very good too. Surrounding views were very nice too. I guess the best time to be there is around 6.15pm onwards to see the sun going down and day turns to night. Prepare to pay though to have good dinner and spoil yourself.

Great view at level 55. Unfortunately service quality is disappointing. We were put at a corner and very difficult to get service attention when needed. Bad last impression when paying bill, the service personnel collected payment without warmth or smile. High tea food is average with limitrd variety. Not value for money.

Right on the towers of Ion Orchard Singapore is the Salt Grill and Sky Bar, an elegant restaurant on the 55th floor overlooking Central Singapore.
The restaurant is classy enough for entertaining business clients, and romantic if you’re a couple looking for a quiet corner or a celebration.
In either cases, the food and ambience do go well together.
Food wise, it’s a good restaurant. The food is as good as any, and that is what you have come to expect from it. It’s not spectacularly over the top memorable but certainly not bottom feeder either. It is good.
The service however, is memorable. The maitre d' was awesome with its recommendations (and you would wonder if he’s the chef!), and I enjoyed my recommendations.
A great evening with good food and amazing view.

View was absolutely stunning overlooking the entire city. Managed to catch the sunset too as well from the 55th story.
Service was really attentive and provided top notch quality attention. Made sure our experience was pleasant and comfortable as well.
Food wise was so-so and interesting presentations. Quality was good and plating was neatly done.
Be prepared to burn a huge hole in your pocket though. Pretty expensive but mostly there for the scenery and ambiance.
