Went there for work pass medical checkup ... The lady that did blood test just pushed me to x-ray counter cuz they haven't printed the labels. Okay, after I went through all the process, they never bothered to call my queue number again for the blood test.
I had to personally go to the counter to inquire about it then only they catch up on the procedure. :( I know there's a lot of ppl in the morning but wow some workers are a mess.

It was full house and it was expected to be a long wait. Polytechnic students enrolment time. But every thing was oderly and systematic. X- ray, blood test, urine test, physical check up in under 3 hrs.

I stopped visit Sata Woodlands after observed blood splashed during blood drawn of a foreign worker & the nurse performed blood cleaning work without wearing gloves, that was about 8-10 years ago.
Last year I decided to perform health screening at this clinic again, but went into bad experiences. Their treadmill ECG was down during my session caused me wasted atleast 3 hours there, I was asked to re-schedule for another visit just for this test. Then, I made a phone call to the appointed counter after few days to make appointment but was told that they will called me again for confirmation, I didn't received any call then.
Anyway, I managed to make appointment by followed up call to the counter. But, upon reporting to the counter on the appointment day, I was told by the Sata employee that I was “no show” on my 1st appointment and their document was indicated the same. This is very irrespinsible!
I will never visit Sata again.

This was my second time visit Woodland SATA and their service still the best. Very pleasant experience and fast speed. Good customer service during my visit and i would give her a thumb up.

I'd gone here to do a health screening for university enrollment. After waiting 3 hours, I contacted Raffles Medical whether they offer the same service. I was informed that they do and they do it within 1 hour or so. In one hour at SATA, all I managed to do was to show the receptionist my NRIC. I left without completing my screening.
A portion of the upfront payment was refunded.Such was my agonizing experience at SATA that I'd have gladly left even if no refund was given.
The average time it takes to complete a routine health screening is 5 hours based on personal experience.
SATA is a total mess. The wait times are ridiculous. Do your health screenings elsewhere, folks.

It's my second visit at SATA and it was a very pleasant experience. Yes, the waiting times were quite long. However the staff were extremely caring, especially this young Indian lady working there. She was super caring and understanding. If she's reading this, Hi! You really made day much better! :) stay awesome!

There are 4 counters doing registration. But it took nearly an hour to move just 8 queue numbers... There are so many patients waiting while the staffs are ignoring, walking around and doing at their own pace...

Super long waiting time of more than 3-4 hours just for a normal medical examination when Raffles Medical took last than 1 hour. Did check with the staff before registration and was told that it will take about 45 mins. I've cancelled my registration after they made me waited for 2 hours with only xray done... What a clinic..

I was asked to go back and forth over counters like a ping pong ball. A few do care, but sad to say, a rotten apple spoils the whole barrel. And there were quite a few rotten ones.
Waiting time was long, perhaps, it was due to the surge of students having to have their medical check done at Sata too.
Students didn't seem to be treated well. They were being commanded instead of being told nicely. Mind you, they have to pay for their medical check up too.

This is my first time at this centre and I must say, its not a really pleasant experience. I understand its not Mount E, but I would still expect some level of professionalism and service.
SUMMARY:
Pros
+short queue(at the time I was there around 4pm on Friday)
+some friendly staff
Cons
-quite a number of not so friendly staff
-doctors that don't seem to care about your well-being
I was first attended to at the registration counter, the nurses were nice(not the friendliest) but ok. Then I went for X-Ray, the nurse was using her phone behind the small counter, which to me is a meh thing. Then the Indian Doctor came to supervise the X-Ray. He was not friendly, and he just took my documents & left it on the bed. At least have the courtesy to pass documents back after reading it? Basic Service skills not there.
Then it came to my other check up. I was assisted by a young staff, wearing blue which was different from the other staff so he may be a trainee. His attitude was way off what should have been taught in hospitality school. He gives commands rather than request.(example; sit down, read this...) I remember to be the one paying for the service before I was even served and why am I the one being commanded on what to do? Do they not learn basic courtesy which I can easily learn at home? Then for my urine test, he expects me to hold the cup for him. That's a first for me, and I'm suppose to tilt the cup just so its easy for him. And for the eye test he told me to draw the pattern I see. So I was like "do I traces out using my finger on the drawing?" and he was like "Obviously". It wasn't very obvious to me, unless I have autism which I think they didn't prescribe me with.
Last station was the doctor. It was terrible. This lady doctor was SITTING ON THE STETHOSCOPE. That's very unhygienic, and utterly unprofessional. She almost literally like pull it from her butt before using it. She then asked me questions about my health, allergies, medication .... I kept telling her I was lactose intolerant, but she was like it wasn't an allergy as it doesn't cause rashes. So she totally disregard what I told her despite my umpteen times telling her I'm lactose intolerant. It may be a minor medical condition, but if you ain't putting down what I'm telling you, what use are you? The doctors literally ask questions and tick boxes like what I do in kindergarten. So I pay this amount just so u can tick the boxes for me? Right.... Seems worth just because you have a doctor cert.
Overall, the place is nice, but its being letdown by the staff. I can't say all are bad, but majority of the ones I have experience with are underwhelming. As I said, I don't expect Mount E type of service, I just expect service of which let patience feel at ease and that they are in good hands. Sadly, I came into this place with a happy face, but left with a face of utter disappointment.

Bad service!!!! When I was doing the blood drawn, I was nervous and scared but the Malay nurse so rude! Before she took out the needle, I told her I scared but she stared at me then says "jangan bergerak!" (Don't move!). This clinic always say that will investigate and improve their services, but after 1 one year still the same! Bad service! Never come back again!

I'm saying om the behalf of the crowd and me. If you're not opened on New Years(observed), Please state that it will not be opened and not misleading us saying "might affect these timing"

Fronttline customer service need to be improved badly. Reception, xray staff were rude and grumpy faced. Eye test nurse or staff and the consultation doctor were friendly and professional though. Waiting time can be improved too. It took me 1 hour 30mins for a simple health screening.

Thought I could get a normal doctor consultation here. Find myself very stupid after waiting for 1.5hr and after asking with the staff, she said there is still 3 more patients infront of me. Pls inform us next time. I got a refund but I still wasted my time -.-

My wife went for a hepatitis B blood test at SATA CommHealth Woodlands Medical Centre this afternoon,11 NOV 2015 and has a shocking experience.
The MALAY nurse who perform blood withdrawal procedure FAIL TO CHANGE HER SURGICAL GLOVE after performing the procedure on THREE(3) person before my wife.
She is the FORTH (4th) patient being withdraw blood by this nurse WEARING THE SAME PAIR OF GLOVE THE WHOLE TIME!!
WHAT KIND OF HYGIENE S.O.P IS BEING USE IN SATA CommHealth Woodlands Medical Centre?
HOW CAN A NURSE PERFORMING BLOOD WITHDRAWAL BE WEARING SAME PAIR OF GLOVE TO ATTEND TO ALL HER PATIENT?
Including my wife that is FOUR(4) patients involved, how many patients has been in contact with this nurse before and after my wife blood withdrawal and WEARING THE SAME GLOVE?
Can the relevant department and person in charge please explain how can such incident be allowed to happen in a clinic being visited by mass community around the area.

Horrible experience.. 2nd time.. Scheduled to get the results on another date @ 3:00 PM and then reached there 15 mins before 3:00. Got the results 1 and 30 minutes later.. They should have scheduled it @ 4:00 PM rather 3:00 PM. 2nd time my time wasted by them

My first health screening. Although the wait was long, the services I received were kind, gentle, friendly and sweet. Most impressive was blood test. I suffered all my life from blood withdrawal at hospital and clinics (except one veteran doctor in Hougang), usually with both arms suffering at least a total of 3 to 6 needle insertion that doubtlessly led to severe bruising that could take up 14 days to a month of recovery. I always made sure I informed these 'Professionals' to draw blood on the top of my hand but they always showed that they knew what they are doing and persisted like I was a lab rat. The experience at SATA was respectful: I informed, negotiated and proceeded. So, it was a good day at SATA. THANK YOU, Erza & colleagues.
