A beautiful hotel but definitely starting to show its age with fraying of the carpets and wall paper. Very clean and well maintained overall though so kudos to the nice and friendly staff! If you are here on business and need to take cabs, the staff outside are very helpful in getting you one. Or the train is a short walk away. The bus stop is even at your doorstep. The wifi is quick and easy to connect to. Didn’t try the restaurant and the lounge/bar seemed to have a very limited selection so I wasn’t enticed to wander in. The gym was quite small with limited equipment and the air conditioning inside cannot seem to cope with the outdoor heat.

Love this hotel. Stayed here a couple of times and it definitely offers best value. Upgrading to club is definitely worth the extra $60 per night as it gives you free buffet breakfast, access to the club lounge on the 15th floor where you can have afternoon tea (and many snacks) from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. there are cocktails, free flow wine (red and white), and an assortment of tasty food.
The hotel is very clean as well, service staff is very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. And the lobby is absolutely gorgeous!
I will be staying here again in the future!

Had a team lunch at Carousel at Royal Plaza on Scotts. Second time there overall and glad to say that it has gotten better. The food variety and the layout had improved (not that it was bad to begin with) and service was prompt and efficient. Chocolate lava cake was DELIGHTFUL and sushi choices were varied and plentiful (especially if you love your sashimi). Recommended to all!

Comfort hotel, feel like home, good ambience, clean, and foremost, espresso machine, coffee tea, can soft drink , juices , bottles water are replenish everyday, we just love everything about the place, good service super friendly, and not to forget good varieties of breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet is superb , quality is premium . Easy working distance to all the shopping mall n place around. I can say super convenience . One thing if you are not staying at the hotel, book in advance, cos its always full during lunch n dinner. We have great time. Will come back again. Oh yes one more thing, Starbucks is right at the corner.

The location was perfect as it is right in the heart of the shopping district of Singapore. Because of this, it is very convenient to access of the amenities. In fact, these amenities were merely 5 minutes away from the hotel. The food at the buffet, which was called Carousel, was absolutely delicious. That was a good spread of Asian dishes and asian-inspired dishes. The dessert spread however it could have been a bit better. While there were quite a number of cakes, there should have been a wider variety of ice cream. Only vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream flavors are available, which was honestly quite disappointing.

Great hotel with good location. 5 minutes from orchard mrt station, bus stop in front of hotel. The room is spacious with free minibar being replenished everyday. Clean room , good staff service. For sure be staying here again.

The food option and servicr is great. There is even an entertainment by staff for birthday celebration. Love the unique options of ice cream.

Food is good and if you want to eat vegan you can. Robert's pasta arrabiata is the best I have eaten. Unfortunately the hotel is in dire need of a makeover. Walls are stained, the clothes hooks in the toilets are either missing, damaged or just do not match. The toilets have a permanent smell of stale urine. The word shabby comes to mind when you look at the hotel generally.

Upgraded to Club accommodation but room was lovely but small. Good location to MRT bus stop out front. Foyer was huge with a lot of business meeting and conferences catered for.

Good hotel for value. Great location, just in the corner between Orchard and Scotts. If you go to Ion a lot, then this might be the hotel for you. There is also Shaw next door which houses a cinema and Isetan with its Japanese supermarket.
If you like buffet, then Carousel would not disappoint.
There is a hit and miss in service. Check in is not always ready on time. Came in on time (at 14 to 15.00) but room was not ready. Had to wait a few hours. Happened several times. If you stay a few nights, the room may not be properly cleaned. The cup and spoon I used was never thoroughly cleaned; they were just basically put back in place. But overall the staff were helpful, and the doormen and bellboys were very friendly.
Overall, a good hotel for a reasonable price.

I had a very pleasant stay...very clean room...nice staff...breakfast is good...especially it’s location on orchard road.
Con part is very limited inroom dining menu...no bathrobes.
Overall a good independent hotel ever stayed 😊
Will come back again.

Great location, in the center of of the city. Shopping malls are just around you in a walking distance. Loved the complimentary minibar, professional staffs and the service. Lovely!

Beautiful hotel. Got upgraded to the Royal suites and was impressed by all the staff we encountered. Next time we'll stay longer. As we only had one night.

We went for the highly rated buffet and pretty much everything we ate was excellent. It's always packed at lunch so reserve a table in advance. Service was also good. All food is halal as well.

Lovely stay. Really great attention to detail from the high pressure showers, perfect temperature water, complimentary mini bar, universal power outlets, welcoming lobby, and great location. Only complaint being the counters and toilet may have been missed in cleaning before our stay.

The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping district and 2 blocks to the MTR station so you can easily get around Singapore from here. The hotel is getting a little old in it's decor and rooms are bit dark and could use a update. The staff is nice but feels dated too in uniform and training comparing to most quality international hotels.

Location is convenient and right next to MRT Station making it convenient for meetings and getting around town. Lobby staff is excellent and service was impeccable.

Hotel is located in a nice but busy area. Walking distance to a high end mall with lots of dining options. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Definitely one of the best hotels in the area for the price. Service however did not reflect their star rating. Service was not bad but definitely second rate in comparison to a comparable chain hotel.

Wonderful service, friendliest staff and well-sized, clean, modern comfortable rooms with lots of included amenities like free Wi-Fi and complimentary mini fridge contents. Baby friendly too, bonus.

Not as good as we expected. After traveling from two other 5 star hotels we had equally high hopes for this one. We'd booked a corner room which I assured my family usually means a better view out 2 windows. In fact we had 1 window facing a car park. The fridge has some complimentary soft drinks in it but I found the nespresso machine to be more trouble than the usual sachets of nescafe. I can only recommend this hotel if you absolutely have to stay near the Scott's Orchard area

Centrally located. Clean and comfortable room. Great buffet.
Gym - not so great. Some light free weights. Tiny room. No AC. Some cardio stuff.

Great hotel in perfect location. Has also good breakfast and dinner. Biggest minus is that there is no bar. No place for a drink.

Excellent hotel. The location is superb. Just off Orchard Road. Handy to heaps of shops and the MRT. Standard of room very good. Really spacious. Had a Nespresso machine. The fridge had soft drinks and juices in it which were free and they topped up each day which was nice. Good bathroom. Pool was nice although quite deep.

My favorite hotel when I went to Singapore. This hotel is fully halal-hotel. The hotel features a restaurant, swimming pool, health spa and fitness center. In terms of the room, this is the most I like ... coffee maker, mini-bar replenished daily. Full room basic requirements for a 5 star hotel room. Adjacent to the shopping complex. Taxis and buses are also easily available in front of the hotel. MRT also available with only about 5-10 minutes walk. Basically, this hotel is the hotel of my choice. 5 star indeed! By the way... Mr Syed (pakcik Syed - Mr bellman) we miss you pakcik! The face of Royal Plaza On Scotts!

The location of this hotel is perfect. It's close to shops, restaurants, near orchard road and the MRT. Their staff is really friendly and nice too. Their breakfast taste delicious too. Rooms are very comfortable and there's a free minibar. Their internet was fast too.

I write this reviews because of these two very courteous staffs namely MrSyed a very happy and helpful man that made me and my family stay full of smiles and no hassle, and to MrIbrahim a brilliant man that so helpful providing us with such important information that answers our enquiries. To add for this excellent reviews are for the quick email replies and confirmations, wonderful staffs at front desk and the in-room dining operator who attended our late dinners requests, we love her so much. I cant find these courteous staffs from other hotels from my own experience. I am coming back to RP Hotel end of this month and looking forward to receive these excellent services from these brilliant staffs again and looking forward to hear minimal noise of cups and spoons from the cute corner pantry at the Carousel too.
