Rooms are quite small and things like shampoo are not available in the room. The breakfast was fairly underwhelming as well. However, the location of the hotel is excellent. Very close to the Clarke Quay, where lots of restaurants, clubs and hangouts are located. Close to the riverfront.

Very poor customer service: A pyjama was missing from the room on the second day of our stay (stayed there for 8 nights). We brought the problem to the hotel staff, who answered that they will investigate, but our problem "Not having a pyjama" was never addressed, and the escalation to the manager took 2 days. Anyway the manager did nothing different, as to "investigate" and the final answer was there was no trace of the pyjama so no responsibility from the hotel. We bought a pyjama for 30$ and ask the hotel for a full or partial refund of the pyjama price which they fully denied (even though we spend 1100$ for the 8nights reservation), the manager offered as a compliment a free late checkout which we refused since it does not address our problem at all.
Summary, if you are looking for a hotel with OK location and don't care much about some missing items from your belongings Robertson Quay Hotel is the place for you, otherwise don't stay there.
Room: The room was quite small, the bathroom is plagued with disgusting small insects[photos attached] very bad hygiene, the blankets for the bed were old and ragged [photos attached].
Manager: no customer service at all.
Breakfast: No options to chose from is a very greasy breakfast, I ended up choosing only the orange juice and toast bread.

This is a well placed mid-range hotel. The rooms are fairly small, and ours only had a shower, not a bath - but all of this is made clear when you book.
They have air conditioning, which is necessary in Singapore.
Our room had a view of the river and the pool - which was a good place to cool down after a hot day in the city.
Most well known sites are walkable from this hotel, though the mass transit subway system is only 10 minutes (slow) walk away - Fort Canning.
The free breakfast was ok, and had enough for vegetarians like me.

The hotel itself, is in major need of refurbishment. Location is very good, close to most things. Staff provide basic service levels and breakfast provided is adequate catering to the mixed clientele.
The room I got was adequate, small, but did need some repairs particularly in the shower. Shower head was partially blocked so it did not spray properly. The adjustable shower wand vertical pole was missing pieces. Wifi was available, signal weak unless down in the dining area. There did not appear to be any clear directions to access the pool area or onsite amenities.
Verdict: Pretty average considering the room tariff.

Nice hotel situated close to Clarke Quay on Singapore Riverside. Very good position! The rooms are small and old-fashioned.
There is a breakfast room, but what they offer is poor and not very varied, for a vegetarian or a vegan it is a real problem, since there is only meat or eggs, just some beans, and orange juice packaged. Not even a bit of fresh tropical fruit, in the tropic Region , it's really strange!

Great location, easy walk along the river to Clarke key, close to many bars and restaurants. Beds clean and comfortable. Nice pool.

Reasonable breakfast offered with the usual toast, eggs, beans, cereal etc. available. Room was well designed to maximise features with limited space, has hairdryer, toilet can be used while someone is showing, nice size windows and dark curtains. Given the location, meal options nearby are on the pricey side. 10-15 min nice to one of the subways, though i am not confident that I found the closest one.

Our room was small but clean, well-organized, and had a really nice view of Clarke Quay from the window. The price was reasonable for its great location. All of the staff we met were nice and ready to help, too.

This is the second time I've stayed here in three years.... for a good reason... the place is lovely and clean, the location is excellent and the Italian just below is tranquil. The hotel rooms are relatively small but to be honest you can't fail to be impressed by the way they utilise the space in the rooms. I will certainly return
Sambasiva Nulu (08/02/2018 10:18)
The Rooms are pretty minimalistic and the bathrooms were very small. The rooms were missing on some basic needs such as water, Shampoo and decent closet space. Breakfast was complimentary with decent food although it was a no go for vegetarians like me for whom the only options were Juice, Breads.
Overall okay.

Older hotel that was affordable. Friendly staff. Decent British breakfast. They could use a decent toaster as there was always a line up. It's time for a Reno job as it is showing it's age. All in all I would stay there again.

Tiny rooms but that's very common in Singapore. They have a day use option which works well for business travel if u just need the hotel for a few hours before you head out for a meeting. It's really reasonable as you can check in anytime after 8pm and use it for 5 hour slots. Way cheaper than a lounge or hotel near the airport. It would be brilliant if they offered the day use option for the wee hours in the night as I usually land around 4 or 6 am.

Rooms are nice and well maintained, good views of the river from some of the rooms. Good for familys due to the connecting doors that can be locked. Fast wifi and breakfast included. Hotel staff helped with lots of tourist attractions and helping us get here, would recommend

Only good thing is its location. Rooms are small but can accept this. However mould, lack of cleaniness (our room was never hoovered for 8 days) , old torn apart towels, the corridor in front of room had pieces of food and other staff all the time. Pool water is dirty so are the pool walls. Breakfast is a joke. Basically you eat the same thing every day as there is not choice at all. Brown or white bread (the cheapest thing slices only) , orange juice or water, coffe, tea, beans, eggs and jam. Thant it. If you can - avoid. Not worth the price
ivy sarkar (16/09/2017 14:11)
Central location adds on to the value ... apart from that nothing really good to appreciatešš cleanliness part of course is good.... well thought of
Tetha Tanjung (09/09/2017 02:56)
It's worth with the price, the building seems old but the room is nice. Like typical hotel low budget, the room not so big, but I still have space for praying. They provide simple breakfast with the same menu everyday. The location is really strategic, you can just walk to qlarke Quay. Near convenience store too. But the nearest MRT station or bus stop is about 7-10 minutes walking, no problem for me.

We stayed at the Robertson Quay Hotel in Aug 2017. It's an older hotel with basic amenities. Not for those expecting luxury!
Rooms are nice and clean. All facilities provided, except water bottles in the room.
We only had breakfast from the hotel. It is very basic. Not vegetarian friendly. And it was the same spread everyday for the 06 days that we stayed.
It's very conveniently located and competitively priced. So if you are looking for a good budget hotel, Robertson Quay is a good option.
Staff is rude and not too friendly or eager to helpĀ š

I booked my hotel online directly from Robertson Quay hotel website on 12/7/2017. I was prompted to key in my credit card details. I went ahead with keying in my credit card details on the website for payment upon hotel confirmation. After the payment, I received a confirmation e-mail from the hotel. As this booking was made on behalf of my Japanese guests who came over to Singapore with his family for aĀ holiday, my company thought of booking accommodation on behalf of them. When my Japanese guests arrived at the hotel, the hotel staff demanded them to pay a full amount upon check in.
Ā
The guests tried explaining to them their situation but the staff were not flexible with allowing the guests to check in first despite knowing that the booking details would have clearly state that the booking was done by me. Reminder, I was already told to key in my credit card details while i made my booking online. They could have dropped me a call to check and clarify the issue, rather than letting my guest not check in on the first day of their trip in Singapore.
Ā
Our guests have to drop a call to our director and our director immediately rush down to make a full payment immediately. With the bad service, i decided to cancel the rest of the guestsā stay at Robertson Quay hotel and the cancellation fees adds up to a total of $659.20 excluding taxi fares).
Ā
My question is rather than contacting me, the staff had to ask for payment from my guests, why canāt the hotel email me the credit card authorization form and placed all charges to my credit card or at least give me a call, Iām sure all its take is only less than 10mins. I am very disappointed with the way the management has handled in this way. This has totally put to shame as my guest coming to Singapore for the first time with his family.

First night was a bad experience. Despite booking a non-smoking room, I was given a smoking room. I asked for another room but was told there was no room left. I practically filtered the cigarette pollution in the room with my own precious lung. Not only that, I discovered that I got bitten by bed bugs. I told this to the reception but there was no reaction. The next day, all my clothes smelled badly of cigarettes. Luckily, they've got an upgraded room for me. I have no problem with the small bathroom as it is clean. The bedroom is very small but I've got enough space for all I need. There's also a good view of the river from the window. I slept very well. Not noisy at all. I like the free wi-fi option. It's also located in a trendy spot. I think if you can get a special rate for a deluxe room for more or less $150, it's worth while. Next door hotel charges double price. What is inconvenient is probably water. But supermarket is nearby. I will recommend to go to Great World City (only costs $5 by taxi) and buy all the amenities you need. You can also have your meals here. There are plenty of Japanese and Western dining options in the area. Location wise is excellent. Lobby area smells of food court.

Good price. Great location. 10 minutes walk to Orchard road. Clean rooms. Highly recommended.
To borrow Iron - go to reception and ask for it, give a refunable $10 deposit.
Aditya Gupta (29/06/2017 00:40)
Very tiny room. No drinking water. No room service.carry your luggage to your room self. Very rude staff. Expensive food. Noisy room . You can hear outside and hotel staff noise from early morning 6.00 am. Not to suggest anyone. Rooms were not worthy more than 100 - 120 dollors in peak . I have never seen such a tiny hotel room in my whole life.
vivek nalawade (14/06/2017 11:17)
The best part is location. Hotel is business class. If you intend to only sleep in the room for 7 hrs and rome out entire day and wanna have sumptuous breakfast then Roberson quay is the right place for you.
Jani Saarinen (08/05/2017 02:54)
Was first given a smoking room without being asked if I wanted one. Was then given another but with twin bed instead of king. Hotel world need a facelift and rooms are small (as usually is Singapore).
Paid 100sgd for Sunday night and think I have gotten more value for the same money in other hotels in Singapore
Serena Calabretto (05/05/2017 07:04)
The rooms are very small (and I booked a Deluxe Double Room!) but clean.
The buffet for breakfast is really poor. It offers only eggs (hard eggs are overcooked), beans, sausages, bread, one type of jam, butter, one/two types of cereals, milk, coffee, water and orange juice.
I expected more.
The location was great.
Leigh Pillay (06/04/2017 13:24)
PATHETICALLY DRAB HOTEL rooms are TINY you can hardly turn around in the shower. DISHONEST ~ Hotel cancelled our online booking then demanded we pay full rate. They are badly run ~ like a cattle farm of low end bus tourists, Enter into a badly lit area with old cafe tablels and chairs. No style. Don't be fooled by the location. We found NEW a 4 star upmarket hotel for HALF THE PRICE. Will never book here again. Overcharge and under delivered does not do This hotel insults Singapore's good reputation
Daniel Tregambe (07/03/2017 09:58)
It was easy to get around from here. There are many great restaurants all around. Quite alot along Singapore river. Also very safe at night. No one will dare to come near you.
Laws are very strict, also there are many camera's every where you go. Just go out and enjoy yourself.
Cullen Habel (04/03/2017 04:45)
Quite OK value for money. Once they get their wireless going properly they'll be better.
Ayush Kshirsagar (17/01/2017 16:18)
No room service, bfast not good, rooms are not small but TINY. You can find better hotels at same price which has bigger washroom then the rooms of this hotel
B Mosh (28/12/2016 04:02)
Delux room was nicely designed but very small. Nice bathroom. Reception smells of cigarette smoke and breakfast is really basic and not good. Staff are not very friendly. If you don't plan to spend much time in the room, not a bad place to stay due to great location.
Ghea Melati (01/12/2016 18:06)
Stay here for a night. The room is small but it's so cozy and comfy. Unique room design, for me. Good breakfast. You might want to explore the hotel lil bit to find the swimming pool and nice view.
Rufus Philip (09/10/2016 18:41)
Rooms are small but clean and have good amenities like refrigerator, safe/locker, wardrobe , hair dryer. Good space management for the room size. Sheets and towels are changed everyday. View is nice. Service could be a little better though. Surprised that there was no complimentary water bottle. They serve the same breakfast everyday. It's a little far from the metro station. If you are a non smoker or have respiratory problems, do book your room on the non smoking floor and make sure you get that during check in because otherwise they may try to make you pay extra later .
David Morris (03/10/2016 06:47)
Nice walk along the river, many varied bars and restaurants to serve you whatever time of day. Only 5mins from Clarke Quay for even more nightlife options.
Jiu Jian Kenn (06/08/2016 04:00)
Very worth the money 3 star hotel with great location and helpful front desk staff. My favourite level was on fifth level with the singapore river view.
Amit Joseph (05/08/2016 11:22)
This is a nice hotel overall.. Good place and clean.
Breakfast has not alot to offer and after that there is nothing to eat at the hotel.
The rooms are a bit small as they are round shape but the surroundings restaurants and bar making up for it
Iwan Subiantoro (11/06/2016 08:12)
Nice hotel, clean small room. But nice for good price in Singapore in good location in Clarke Quay. Lovely to go and return. Some reviews said the room smelly and bad receptionist. Its not happened to me and my wife. I think the hotel is improved. But luckily this moment there is construction works near the area

The room is cheap but didnt hv shampoo , tissue , hotel shoe , etc n hv nothing at all the room super small reception guy worse the wifi super weak like turtle the breakfast not good enough so little food
Kelly Peh (10/04/2016 14:12)
receptionist's attitude stinks, he asked me if i wanted a higher level so i asked my friends for their preference and he interrupted by saying 'why ask for their opinion when you're the one staying, you should make your own decisions'. i dont know about you all but this was really uncalled for and rude. The room smelt very bad, floor was sticky and the cups had stains that had to be washed with lots of soap. Room's aircon vent trapped with ciggarette smell, had a headache from it. Will not come back again, would rather top up a few more bucks for a better quality hotel. Do not recommend anyone staying here.

It's a cheap hotel near Clark Quay, but the hotel facilities are really old and smell bad. The room is really small and barely can walk through. Really bad management.
