Trying to open FD joint account and got the ticket, suddenly the customer service auntie approached me and say I need to fill up a form, after I informed I intended to open a joint account, she said we need to open a joint savings account first.
I said I just wanted an ordinary FD, no need to be high interest rate, she was a bit unwilling to check with the officer inside, and came back said we must open joint savings account first. We left because we have no time.
In-law went to check with other officer again, they said no such requirement for normal FD account..
Extremely fed up with impatient staff and yet she gave the wrong info, not sure what is the purpose she insisted on selling the FD account...she sacrificed our rights to know that there are other options😡
