Nice cozy place that sells Penang food. The char kuay teow is good for hungry people. Portion is generous and tasted yummy! The service crew were friendly and helpful.

First visit but totally disappointed with the service. We came in about 615 pm for weekend dinner and was given a table but was NOT informed AT ALL that we had to leave by 7 pm. If we were informed of this, would not even dine at this place as we were just looking for a place to eat at one of the many restaurants at Suntec and thought of giving this place a try. It was a rude shock when we were shoved the bill at 10 to 7 pm and was asked to leave. When we feedback, first thing the manager said was that she was sure her staff had informed us of this. Her response totally put me off and I will never patronize this place again!

Buffet feels lackluster and not worth the price, as you're just eating carbs after carbs after carbs.

Value for money. Food is quite good. Curry chicken can be spicy sometimes. My personal favourite is the Penang Prawn Noodles though the soup quality can be inconsistent sometimes

They allow reservation on private rooms and big round tables so you can also go on family events but its buffet. Service was not bad. But free flow of plain water only. Drinks not included. Have to order separately.

Great Penang buffet restaurant. Not many choices. However those few that are there are actually really delicious. It is rather on the expensive side.

They deserve all 5 stars from me and my entire fanily. The food was fantastic. There wasnt one dish at the buffet line that wasnt good. The assam laksa, kuehs, nasi lemak, har cheong gai, char kway teow was very on point. It was really packed, food came out in small portions to keep it fresh. I was very happy to wait. The cendol was so good, the milk and gula melaka were full flavoured. I had a very happy birthday boy and 5 other very hard to pleased adults. Highly recommend this place for the affordability and quality of food and a great variety. You really dont need to travel to penang. I would know cause ive been there 5 times. I love the open kitchen and how clean it was. Operations was smooth, it looked like a family business to me. If it is guys, keep it up and the amazing work!

Still as great as it was when it occupied the basement of Fusionolopis. The food is still spectacular and the service is still responsive and gentle. I still recommend waiting for the char kway teow which comes out in damnably small portions...but wait, there is a method to the madness here. The only way these noodles are soooo phenomenally packed with flavor and so consistently mint-blowingly good is because they are done the very same way every single time in time-honored street hawker fashion. Be patient and in return you’ll be rewarded with what I still regard to be Singapore’s best char kway teow!

We have eaten at Penang Place many times so decided to use them as my son's wedding lunch caterer on 2 Sep. We were not disappointed. The food was great and we received many compliments from our guests. Leonard Ku and his team also provided excellent service. We highly recommend Penang Place. Thanks Penang Place!! 👍😚

Authentic flavour! Food is always kept nice and warm although it's Buffet style. They cook the food is batches to ensure its freshness. This way, food wastage is also kept to the minimum. All those dessert! Price is also reasonable.

Food here was pretty good! I came here on a weekday night and it was pretty empty. The ambience is rather old-school style so you can immediately tell it's run by older folks, but that's okay, because the charkwayteow, beef rendang, lobak, ngoh hiang, cheng teng and pulut hitam were all authentic and hearty. I'm not sure if business is good here but hopefully it is.

Reasonable price for very big portion of food per person. Ingredients value for money

Pleasant, 2nd time here and still loving it! Came for buffet. Nice spread!

We went there for lunch on a Fri n it's full house. Assam laksa n fried chicken wings with shrimp paste are the best. Other dishes are fine too (from a buffet aspect). Food refillings are a bit slow on that day n popular dishes like the fried chicken wings, fried kway teow are emptied within minutes once they are landed on the serving trays. Prices are inexpensive with the dishes variety n food quality. With expectation of a buffet meal n their prices (better deal for week day lunch at less than $30 pax), it's worth the valur paid for n it will be a good place for group gathering too if u want something other than standard international buffets.

Brought my friends from HK to Penang Place last evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I must say that I was a little disappointed when I visited them when they first moved to Suntec City. Some hot food items were rather cold when they were served. However, they are back to the great old standard - quality food, good service - value for money. Highly recommended.

Food selection are not many but taste good, and they have buffet as well
Tejas Damania (10/07/2017 06:34)
Fun place for family or group of friends
They should add more options for drinks

Worst service ever encountered. Didn't do the buffet thankfully - which doesn't look worth it. Food is definitely lacklustre - you get better from a coffee shop for half the price (independent opinion to what happened below)
So ordered ala carte and nowhere in the menu did they state a dish was spicy (would have been a different page with a separate request). Ordered the dish for my toddler and requested a return to have it done non spicy; the manager said no, that I should have known this dish was spicy (??) - worst he claimed anyone ordering would have known even though I pointed out to him the menu doesn't say it is spicy explicitly.
Could have been easily managed but the manager just couldn't muster any effort to provide any level of service.

The buffet spread does not offer too much variety but in exchange you get quality food. Authentic Penang taste. Highly recommended!

Not a lot of dishes. How much fried kuay tiow can one eat?
Hikaru Esya (23/03/2017 05:28)

Great buffet price for a wide spread. Recommended when you're craving for Penang food and have an appetite.
Benjamin Tan (14/01/2017 15:27)
This is my preferred place for Penang food. Authentic Flavours, very friendly staff (as opposed to grumpy or stuffy service staff at so many F&B places these days) and prices are reasonable too. Hope they'll reopen soon. (Outlet at Fusionopolis closed from today -14 Jan 2017)

Nice place to bring your family for a buffet dinner. I enjoyed the nasi lemak and the beef rendang there but my wife recommended the char kway teow there too. The waiters were efficient and courteous in their service.
William Liew (17/07/2016 09:03)
As a Malaysian, the food is pretty good. However, selection is small for the price paid. But if your focus is on delicious food and not on variety, Penang Place fits the bill.
Jie Bo Ti (06/09/2016 12:48)
They offer lunch buffet but my colleagues and I went for their ala carte menu. I had the Nasi Lemak which is disappointing. The chicken wing was cold and soggy, ikan bilis soggy as well. The samba prawns were overcooked and sticks to the shell.
The rice was fragrant but doesn't even closely makes up for the other components.
Darren Lyons (20/08/2016 13:36)
Great selection of Malaysian food, just not quite 5*. Good value
Hong Eng Hoong (09/07/2016 08:31)
Food is good, but value for money? I would say not yet.
Colin O (27/03/2016 05:24)
Not the best value, but the food's good! Only Buffets served on public holidays & weekends, no ala carte, costing $30++ per adult and $18++per child (up to 10 years), correct as of March 2016. Some would say, a tad too pricey, and I'd tend to agree. They serve children friendly food, nuggets and fries. Other than water, all other drinks are chargeable. The main food spread is comprehensive and authentic Penang style. Notables are the Penang laksa, char kuay teow & nasi lemak. The desserts are great too, especially for the sweet tooth.
It's a deep, spacious premise with long tables and large seating capacity. The décor is simple and plain. Service is attentive if not somewhat sullen. Parking is easy especially in the evenings and on weekends. Otherwise the One North MRT opens right under the restaurant. So accessibility is easy. The kitchen opens only for set times, so be sure to get in early for Buffets, otherwise you'll find yourself rushed to sample the many dishes.
Zachary Koh (24/03/2016 15:59)
Good spread of dishes. Food kept at decent temperature. Popular items like satay are snapped up fast though.
Milton Pang (22/03/2016 07:12)
Affordable taste of Penang favorites without making a trip there.
Karen Cheah (26/02/2015 09:07)
Most disappointing is that the website for Little Penang Place offers a 20% discount between 3pm- 5pm. But this doesn't hold true as I called a few minutes before 5pm and was informed that by their clock it was 5pm and the discount doesn't apply. They make a great char kway teow but obviously need to brush up on their integrity and service standards.
