Offers both vegetarian and gluten free cuisine - so from this point of view was great for myself and my wife.
The staff were attentive, and the food was served quickly. The portion sizes were good, and the food was well presented and tasty.
I had one of the specials on offer - stuffed cannelloni - which was very filling.
The only drawback was the cost of alcohol - but that isn't this restaurant, it's the whole of Singapore - we paid the equivalent of £56.00 for what was, basically, a bottle of red house wine.

This place is a gem for vegetarians. The halloumi cheese starter was rather dry and and not gooey like one would expect. Mousaka was nicely done and the stuffed bell peppers were great too. The wine list by the glass is tiny in comparison to their bottle options. This place is rather on the expensive side. It’s neatly tucked in to a not so busy area and offers a nice ambience with pleasant staff.

Has been here for ages. I have come here several times over the years. Food is good service is OK. The vegetarian pizzas are not bad.

Good vegetarian option. You can use Entertainer promotion on Mains, Pastas and Pizzas. I recommend the Absolut pasta. The Moussaka was dry, according to my friend who ordered it, so you might want to ask for more bechamel sauce or something if you want to get that.

Good Mediterranean style vegetarian pasta and pizzas. Nice relaxed ambience for a quiet dinner, excellent service. We had the antipasto platter, lasagna and supreme pizza. I really loved the rich cheesy lasagna, while my husband liked the pizza better. Pizza was topped with fresh shredded basil, while lifted the flavours.

The place is a vegetarian’s delight and a nice change for the meat frequenter’s. The food and service was impeccable. We wished we had gone in a bigger group, only so that we could try more things on the menu. The lasagna and the mezze platter is a must try. Will definitely be coming here more then once.

A quaint little place away from the crowded street as it faces some housing estates. Recommend the outdoor seating to get the best of the ambience. The food was pretty good and staff very friendly. This place seems popular with expats. Not recommended for tourists as it is slightly secluded but good for locals.

Great place for vegetarian food, it’s not the cheapest but I really enjoyed the arrabiata pasta and risotto, so yeah, that made it all right ;)

Restaurant was ok. I had the set lunch - soup was average, avocado sandwich was fine and dessert was ok. Restaurant was packed during weekday lunch. Prices are little high. Might try one more time.

This is my second time to be in this restaurant. Service needs to improve. Staff should pay attention to customers who want to place an order. Now about the food... a lot of things to improve. We had Mezze as starter. And they called it middle eastern. May be they should visit one of the countries. My main course was tasteless. The pizza looks & tastes like Turkish pizza. Somehow the dough is not a pizza dough. You can make a fusion food a nice & tasty way.

Awesome food. All vegetarian. Paradise for vegetarians like me

I really don't think anywhere in Singapore beats the value their fave voucher offers. Amazing vegetarian food. I felt great eating it. I felt great after eating it.

Vegetarian Italian food that's tasty and healthy. There's pizzas, pastas and a wide selection of anti-pasti. Set lunches are good value for money.

Decent vegetarian food options. Has the option of making many of its dishes into vegan or gluten free. One can order Jain dishes as well.

Always loved Original Sin back when I lived in Holland Village but having moved to the East Coast ten years ago I have not had a chance to go until recently and the food was still as good as I remember!

A little pricey but the food is fresh and staff are helpful

Absolutely not worth of money... Little food at exponential rates . Suggest weekend buffets at other well known restaurants as an alternative where you get quality and quantity for the same price .

One of the few places in Singapore wot a labelled menu and you can also request items to be made vegan....good options for western/Italian and the lunch set menu is value for money....I wouldn't recommend the bruschettas though....food tends to be low on salt too which is good. Try the vegan apple crumble and the quinoa stuffed capsicum. Long wait time though so be prepared for a lengthy lunch/dinner date.

Let's be clear, this is a vegetarian place with a heavy Italian slant. It is not a traditional Italian restaurant. This is by no means a bad thing - in fact I find the concept refreshing. It is priced on the high side but it becomes more acceptable if you avail of promos like the entertainer and other apps
Ankush Ved (23/02/2017 14:07)
Tried Bruschetta and Falafel Salad and I liked them both. Also tried the platter which offered falafels and other sauces , that was nice too. But the place is on the expensive side. It has nice cozy ambience. Service is slow.

Service isn't excellent, but the food is good!

One of the worst restaurant meals that I've ever had. I've eaten here many years before, when you were served incredible colourful creations rich in flavour and creativity. For a meat eater, it made dining out with vegetarians bearable!! Unfortunately, now, these creations no longer exist. The menu is now very middle eastern, so lots of dips and pita as well as a lot of pasta and pizza.... certainly not worthy of the expensive price tag. 4 of us dined and none of us finished our food. 2 of us left almost everything and I sent mine back because there was a very sharp bit of plastic in the meal. I was told that it came off the package before the meal was microwaved.... processed food anyone? Truly an awful experience. Never again

Always good food but the menu has not changed for the last 10 years!! Neighbors will appreciate a brand new menu!

Great food, Bad Service for the price charged !
Rajan Raju (05/09/2016 22:35)
A well established restaurant in Singapore. Food quality is a bit variable : outstanding for a few dishes and mediocre for others. A small restaurant so book in advance, with big prices!
Gregory Waldron (31/07/2016 23:55)
I'm not a vegetarian, but really enjoy this place. Caesars salad is iffy, but spankonpita and fill pastries are very good. Efficient service too.

Great ambiance, good service. Very difficult to find this place.

Too expensive for a small quantity. Not worth my money or time. Heard so much abt this place but soooooooo disappointed

Original Sin is an established restaurant serving vegetarian mediterranean cuisine. From pasta chock-full of mushrooms to haloumi salads and risotto, the food here is worth a visit. Plus its location set in a leafy quiet estate is a draw for diners.
Kiku C (29/03/2016 05:15)
DISHONEST: ThE manager tried to smoke (hoodwink) us into ordering more than we wanted, saying we could not share dishes. Hello, if we aren't hungry isn't it more prudent to order less dishes?? Plus it's a Mediterranean restaurant, if you don't want people to share then don't serve Mediterranean!!!
Also we were using the Entertainer app here. The rules are clear on the app-- if you have an odd number, you can use vouchers for less people if you want to! Don't listen if the people in the restaurant try to force you to order more.

Expensive for such small portions although vegetables were fresh. 22 sgd for the Large salad and 8 sgd for a small basket of peta bread is simply too much.
