Stuffy ventilation makes me smell likes the kitchen & when the glass sliding door was left open there was cooling fresh air. Prices just increased & portion smaller; I have been a regular since 2012. Waited twenty minutes for my lime-juice & Bandung today, then another 45 minutes for fish & chips. All the while I was waiting I watched the other tables after me got served, paid & left. When I asked the new male manager about my observation, he said that's dependent of the food orders which will be served in bulk. So I told him he hasn't said anything about that to our table till I questioned him. The previous Filipino lady & female boss used to be very friendly & attentive even when the place had several electrical outage.

Very disappointed.. The must try foods are not available.. we tried to order our dinner with the limited choices.. In the end, the limited choices are also sold out.. :(
What happen??? Used to be full house... Hope things will get better.. I really love to dine in at your place again... Fighting ya!!

A nice chill place for local delights. Can be a little pricey but nice place to feel like you are back in your school days.

After reading all the hype surrounding this place, am honestly quite disappointed by the experience. The place only tries to sell you overpriced nostalgia but the food and drinks left me quite unsatisfied.
Food choices are incredibly limited, constrained to food that you can get at other places at cheaper price, like mee rebus, mee siam or nasi lemak. And not to say they are tastier than their cheaper counterparts outside.
Drinks also quite diluted. Hated my teh cino which tasted more like water than milk tea. Even any prata shop can do better in terms of their drinks.
Incredibly disappointed. Only saving grace is the ambiance. Won't recommend this place.

For a dose of nostalgia.... at a price.
Walking into the shop, you can see the efforts made to make you recall your childhood with you and games from a simpler time without electronic devices. The food and drinks brings back memories. The price, however, jolts you back to reality with a simple bowl of chendol gong at $4.90; tastes average too. But it seems popular so it's your call.

Simple cooking. Love the sambal on the nasi lemak and the otah. Curry tasted home cooked and not too spicy. Coconut rice was not over powering and light. Cosy ambience for all ages and it has baby chairs too.

Nostalgia and the feels all around when you step into this eatery. they serve affordable and delectable local delights. they have old school card/board games and magazines for you to occupy your time with whilst waiting for your food.
recommend the mee siam, laksa and chicken cutlet!

Food is very presentable but average. Most of the food are Malay and the most expensive being the western food. Price is moderate. But the place is old school themed and quite clean.

The place is like old school but very modern. The food is delicious and there are also drinks that are uniquely Singaporean.

Very interesting decor, and orders are made by writing on a small whiteboard on your table. The food is ok, though rather pricey in my opinion.

Blast from the past, good homemade cakes and some old school games and mags to keep you busy!

Great fun and good local "old school" food.
Decor is fun and I'm sure resonates with locals of a certain era. Watched my fiancé play batu seremban like a pro! Nice experience and good chocolate cake. Tip: Ask for a 2nd scoop of ice cream!

Awesome atmosphere with awesome food! Reminds me of my childhood memories, with food that would make you go wild. Try their Curry Chicken with Rice! The 'gao' (thick) gravy is one of a kind, with rice it goes very well. The chicken, tender yet tasty goes very very well with the whole meal (S$9.80).

Old school Comfort food at its best. Somehow I like the macaroni soup here which is simple with chicken and fish cake.

My wife and I loved the old school (literally) ambience, complete with chalkboards reminiscent of our school-going years, games from our childhood, and quirky nostalgia littered about the restaurant.
As for food, here are the recommendations:
1. Chicken bits
2. Laksa
3. Mee reebus
4. Chocolate lava cake
5. Hor fun in mushroom stock
Watch out for monthly specials!

Love the ambience of the place. It's quite relaxing and it offers some old school games to play with.
It could have gotten a higher rating if the food is a little more decent.

Very friendly service and it was really nostalgic looking at all the toys I used to play with in primary school.

Nice environment. Food is ok. Drinks are expensive though. You could do worse overall

Nice cendol here.. a bit expensive though for the portion...

Lol, good food? So-So. Not worth the price. Nasi lemak and fish & chip. Better elsewhere. But the theme is there.
