We went to a clinic first and the Dr recognised that it is an emergency. Therfore he asked us to go to an A&E immediately for an urgent procedure. The Dr. also issued a letter for the A&E department confirming that it is an emergency.
When we arrived at the A&E the nurse gave us a Q number and asked us to wait and advised that the waiting time is 1-2 hours for a nurse to confirm that it really is an emergency. The other patients waiting were only there for a common cold or mild symptoms while our patient was in severe pain and unable to walk.
It is rediculas that the A&E do not recognise a referal letter from a Dr and we have ro wait 2 hours for a nurse to confirm a CERTIFIED DOCTOR’s assessment. ???
Furthermore we were treated in a rude and harsh manner without any respect to the fact that the patient is suffering from chronic pain.
This hospital needs to get their priorities right.

Crazy wait hours, like literally 5 to 6 hours sometimes. Lack of staffs and doctors. Very slow diagnosis. You may get better or worse by the time the diagnosis gets over.
There is no good time to go here. Early morning there r no nurses ; following which massive crowd as a huge backlog is created by the time nurses are available ; later rest of the day is just a struggle.
Also if u really need immidiate care please don’t depend on the emergency ward. Use some polyclinic they r faster.

Please stop posting fake 5 star reviews. If I could I wouldn’t give them any stars.
I have been there for treatment and it is true that they are not as concern and professional as other hospital even the worst ones.
Somebody should audit this hospital!!

The worst hospital ever, couldn't breathe and heart pumping fast at midnight, feeling unwell giddy all. Rush over to see the doctor and the doctor did not give any medications or MC. Waited for 3 hours plus and i did not get a damn medication or MC at all! Lodge a complaint by emailing and they did not reply anything. Totally I will not visit this hospital again!

A very bad experience with this hospital. Main line was hard to get through n when passed to ward line was cut off most of the time. My brother had to wait for a very long time to do the operation when he was in fact in very much pain. The doctor attending to him also never bother to call the patient's family eventhough i gave my number to staff nurse. No rapport or communication at this ward. Everybody seems busy that they forget that we on the other hand hunger for inf pertaining to my brother's state of condition. Its about time the management of this hospital opens his eyes and improve the service. No point maintaining the cleanliness but service is very poor.

Very functional. Designed to operate with automation of many admin process, eg visitor self registration, automated gantry to control max of 4 visitors per every patient, etc. All floors built to allow natural air circulation and not have aircon for most areas. Progressive designed for a new hospital.

My aunt was in a B2 ward. Was really surprised at the poor level of care and poor environment: one morning, 1 nurse had to attend to 6 very sick elderly and middle-age persons, some nurses were quite rude and bo chap, the floor was not properly cleaned, and the toilets were very dirty.

Have mostly enjoyed my visits and treatments and consultations in this hospital. The Radiology Dept, Orthopaedic Dept, Cancer Surgery Dept, Physiotherapy Dept are very modern, clean ,staff warm and assuring.
The hospital too is very much more modern and beautiful .

I had an open wound which go pretty deep to my bone and the nurse ask me to queue for 1 and half hour... I ask them and they just ask me to wait and be patient... Bad A&E receptuonist.
However the doctor is very kind and helpful.

Very poor time management! Appointment was 3.55pm wait until 4.55pm for our turn. Best of all the place was not crowded.
zayyarmin1138 (06/11/2017 07:21)
Average waiting time is 2-3 hour in emergency ward. Only gets to see doctor after 3 and half hour long for severe abdominal pain. Left because no blood test was done and have to wait a few more hour for that.

Poor management of staff and doctors. Not enough doctors to attend to patients. Expect to have long waits. You are better off going to the polyclinic or elsewhere.

If you love long waits at A&E and condescending doctors that belittles your symptoms cause you look fine, 10/10 recommended to visit!

Got referred to A&E due to intense chest pains. Dr LKW was the doc on duty and was very kind to me. The nurses were calm and friendly too. Thumbs up!

Staff were friendly. Asked the patient if they needed anything when they walk pass. Call can get quite slow
Joel Ong (05/06/2017 06:51)
First time at this hospital. Staff lost the patient form resulting in us waiting for 1 hour + just for registration. If we did not ask the counter we would have waited for longer. This is an accident and emergency department not a playground. Staff could have been better trained and more professional. The attending nurse moved her chair which hit the patients injured leg.
In conclusion, use this hospital at your own risk, if possible I would recommend NUH instead. If you need to use this hospital then I'll advice you to be responsible and attentive to your surroundings because this place reminds me of a zoo

Went to A&E by ambulance. Doctor and nurses were effecient at A&E. Was admitted and stayed in a B1 ward. Service by nurses were slow at the ward. Look like they were short handed as same nurses have to take care a few wards. When i need assistance by pressing the call button respond is very slow especially in the wee hours and early morning. House keeping did not clean the toilet on daily basis and nurses have to clear the used utensils. Cleaniness and hygeine of the wards are poor compared to other public hospitals i been to. The on call doctor during my first night stay was very rude telling me that he is attending to a code red and when he came to see me, he stormed into the ward telling me I have to bear with the pain and told me i need to undergo for surgery to solve it. His tone was very rude. I did not get his name as I was in pain while waiting for the painkiller to work on me. As I was admitted over a long weekend, I need to wait for the diagnostic clinic to open to run some test before going for surgery which I proceed. Anasthesia team were professional and manage to comfort me as this was my first surgery. Next day after my surgery, doc told me i could be discharged but nurses said there were no such instuctions. I kept asking the nurses for updates but still said no instructions given to them. Its only in the evening the doc came and explained i can only be discharges tomorrow. Overall Ng Teng Fong needs to improve and understand patients needs and take back the feedbacks seriously.

NTF General Hospital spread out into 3 interconnected buildings, namely
1) Admission (facing IMM)
2) Clinic/ wards (facing Devan Nair Institute)
3) Hospice (nearest to Toh Guan Rd).
Jurong East MRT station is the nearest MRT station. There are 2 link bridges (Westgate & Big Box) to NTF hospital.
- Westgate link bridge - to Clinic & Wards
- Big Box link bridge - Hospice

My mum went to ng teng fong specialist gastro refered by polyclinic doc as she has a bit high LPO level. During consultation, e doc mentioned e result is a bit high only and suggest we can do ultrasound or CT scan(more detail scan $500+). We decide not to do as no discomfort during checkup and no symptoms. So doc suggest a blood test for liver in their hospital as different lab may has different results range. We think maybe at most $100+? ( did not ask very clearly on what kind of tests and charges may involved as clearly WE R NOT DOCTORS) To my shock, e nurse taken 6 tubes of blood after e consultation ( I was wondering why so much blood taken) e total cost turn out to be $360+ after subsidised. (Cannot use medisave for non chronic) Omg. E medical charges in sg r too expensive. I suggest u to find out all e detailed charges even it sounds like just a simple blood test if u r a below average income family like me instead of getting a shock at payment counter. 😢

Excellent modern architecture and facilities. I was in A&E late one night from kidney stones and excruciating pain but Dr. Venkat ensured I was attended to promptly and efficiently, home safe within a few hours.
After a very challenging career switch, I later had the opportunity to attend a training course and work to support this Hospital and I definitely enjoy the professional experience contributing in a small way to the JurongHealth team!

Worst Hospital Ever!!! I was made to wait in queue although I was an accident victim with visible injuries. The other victim was swiftly taken to a ward while I was made to wait in line of the regular A&E patients. I had to literally stagger to a nurse to demand attention when they ignored my husband's requests. Instead of warding me, they let me go home saying they cannot do anything for my fractured nose and headaches. I had allergic reaction to the medication and they did not keep me inhouse to monitor. ENT appointment was given for 5 days after the accident too!!! I was not treated as a priority case when I clearly was. Yesterday I went to get the medical report and it did not state my injuries accurately!! In the report it stated I did not have any fractures but the discharge summary clearly stated it. The specialist even said I had a minor concussion; yet I was allowed to go home!!!! Atrocious!
