Absolutely stunning the highlight of our trip for me. An incredible number of beautiful orchids in a lovely landscaped and meandering garden. Entry is just 5 dollars making this easily one of the most affordable things to do in Singapore, and absolutely worthwhile. You could easily spend a day wandering the orchid garden and the surrounding botanic gardens

The only paid attraction at the Singapore Botanic Garden. Entrance fee might be waived for locals during school holiday. This is an outdoor garden and can be quite hot and humid during the day. The garden offers more orchid variations than the air conditioned conservatory at Gardens By The Bay though.

It is really great experience for oneself by seeing the Orchid Garden. Full of flowers, mainly orchids with many different colors. Of course pride for Singapore as it is national flower. The Garden is well maintained and the plants are so structured, we love to spend time with nature.

World's largest collection of Orchids! It is a very beautiful place. The S$5 entry fee is nothing for what you experience inside. If you love flowers you can not miss this one...

A wonderful place. Big nature walk in mid of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. If you have luck like me you can enjoy musical performances and a show on the symphony stage.
I liked the orchid garden very much. Enjoy it.

Paid attraction for adults and free for children under 12. They have lots of different types of orchids. They have a celebrity garden and VIP garden where they showcase hybrids named after famous people sightseeing as Princess Diana and President Obama. Was there in April 2018, a huge part was cordoned off, so check whether they have fully opened before visiting

Orchid garden with a variety of plants, a nice place to walk around if you love plants and natural scenery. I'm kind of a natural lover, I like the walk. Ticket fee is reasonable, just 5 Singaporean dollars.
But if you have limited time in your visit, and if you don't especially love plants, you may save some time. Its beauty is not unique, and if you have great expectation visiting this number one attraction on trip advisor in the city, you may be disappointed. I think there are other attractions much more deserving to be the number one attraction of Singapore.

Huge variety of Orchids, beautiful staged within a very decent space. My mum is an Orchid lover and she had a blast wandering around in the garden. Ticket price is very decent and the experience definitely worth a visit !

A very pretty and well maintained garden.
Several species of orchids can be seen here, many of which are mounted in beautiful exhibits. Most of the orchids here are in bloom with a variety of colours. There is also a section of orchids named after celebrities.
Tickets cost 5$ per person and there is a gift shop for souvenirs after seeing the garden.

A must visit place for all the orchid fans! The orchid garden is inside of the botanical gardens, and the only place where you need to buy an entrance ticket 🎟 amazing arrangements of all the different kind of orchids in the world! 🌎 reserve lots of time to walk here and get to see all the different areas of this garden. Take a map 🗺 with you as well, and sit down every once in a while to rest your feet from all the walking 🚶♀️. I recommend this garden though straight in the morning as a first place to visit so it’s not too crowded! ☝️

We visited the Singapore Botanical Garden and it is simply a haven of tropical trees, plants, and flora. While here, we focused on getting to the National Orchid Garden (separate entry fee S$5). This place is like no other - with a vast display of the most beautiful, colorful, and unusual orchids I’ve seen. A true feast for the eyes and soul.
At the very least, you should spend 2 hours in this heaven, spend a whole day if you can.

Home to some of the most beautiful orchids in the world. Though it's a less publicized destination in the garden city of Singapore, Prince William and Duchess Kate did pay a visit to the garden that cultivated the hybrid named the "Princess Diana" Orchid.
For students, remember to bring your ID! You'll be able to get in at a reduced price.
Sandeep Ramareddy (22/11/2017 08:36)
A beautiful orchid garden with in the Botanical garden. The entry fee is just 5$ and its highly recommended for every one to visit this place. You can find some very beautiful orchids.
Gwyneth Hardy (06/11/2017 13:40)
From the intricate to the outrageous and everything inbetween in the world of orchids. It's all there in this wonderful garden. It's extremely reasonably priced at $5 while the rest of the extraordinary Botanic Garden is free entry. What an amazing resource and experience. Highly recommended.
Rohan Pillai (23/10/2017 10:50)
This place is inside the Singapore Botanical Gardens and entry fee of S$5 is to be paid. The place is very beautiful. Definitely worth visiting.
Tip: Get a map of the garden from the nearby help centre which will help you explore the garden.
Lee Minett (22/10/2017 10:54)
This is not a free place to enter, but it is worth the entry fee. Just as with the botanic gardens, this is a very tranquil place to visit and see the wonderful arrangement of orchids. It is not large, but you still feel like you have done a lot of walking. It is also not flat, with some steep climbs, so consider this if you are in a wheelchair.
Eleanor Tan (01/09/2017 02:49)
Beautiful place. Lots of flowers. Pity they cut too fast. From less than a month ago, many flowers have been cut despite they just bloomed then.
Korben (30/07/2017 09:23)
After the National Orchid Garden every other Botanical Garden will disappoint. Hauntingly beautiful. Incredible. Must must must see.
Paul Taylor (23/07/2017 09:09)
This has to be one of the must go places in Singapore. Only $5 to get in and there are 1000s of flowers out. Can get busy on weekends but still worth going as people are moving around. Plenty of shade to keep out of the heat. A very well kept garden.
Volodimir Olexiouk (09/07/2017 11:05)
Very nice place, beautiful nature and make sure to check out the various (free) events they organise regularly at the park
Laurent-Charles Pelletier (30/06/2017 15:36)
Wonderful gardens. The Orchid Gardens themselves justify the visit to the Botanic Gardens. Colorful arrangements that will keep you walking for hours and make you loose track of time!
Daryl Sinclair (18/04/2017 06:51)
Beautifully arranged flowers with many rare species and combinations that you will not be able to see anywhere else in the world.
Definitely a highlight of Singapore with many photo opportunities and a very enjoyable walk.
It can get very busy with people wanting to all take the same pictures, as such, the garden is not as relaxing as it could be and for that experience I would strongly advise going during the week or perhaps close to the opening and or closing times.
If you are lucky and patient you will also catch some wildlife!
Nitin Sharma (02/04/2017 20:58)
If you enjoy the company of flowers then this is the place for you. And that too is orchid mainly. Beautifully maintained and preserve the essence of the place.
Kelvin Eagleton (30/03/2017 10:24)
My wife and I hadn't planned to come here but we found out about it while walking through Gardens by the Bay.
We are so pleased we visited as it is amazing and compliments have to be given to all the staff involved in keeping it looking and smelling so nice. There are many displays of flowers and wood structures.
We spent over an hour here and it was relaxing.
I'm not very keen on flowers but enjoyed it all the same.
Visited April 2015.
Karen Eyth (06/03/2017 14:27)
This beautiful and well-appointed garden is worth the S$5 entrance fee. I could have easily spent so much more time here. Try to arrive earlier than noon as it may be difficult to tour and take pictures with the sun directly overhead and many other tourists present. Might even be best to break the tour up into two days.
vibhu goel (03/03/2017 10:16)
Situated in the UNESCO heritage Singapore botanical Gardens.
Do take time to visit the orchid garden while in singapore.
The Garden boasts of hundreds variety of orchids.
Pics include botanical Garden as well.

Don't miss this place if you ever visit SBG... The entrance fee is $5 and $1 if you show your student card... Range of orchid species can be found here... Definitely a place to feast your eyes
Uday Shetty (18/02/2017 00:20)
Make time in your itinerary to visit this place. We loved the place. Very good layout and countless variety of orchids. Make sure you visit in the morning do that you do not have to bear the afternoon heat. Keep at 4 hours for this place.
Jaimie Frazer (09/01/2017 18:09)
Definitely worth the $5 entry fee. The huge collection is carefully curated, so there are always plenty of beautiful blooming orchids to view. They even have a chilled cold.house for mountain orchids (a great spot to pause for a few minutes to get a break from the heat if you aren't acclimatised). A great place for see.and learn more about the massive variety of orchids.

An amazing scenery (especially if the weather is good). It's just nice to walk in the nature time to time to enjoy yourself and to appreciate the nature (I sound like a hippie now). Enjoy the views, take a walk, take photos of the birds; you will love it, as long you enjoy it properly.
Carlos Oubiña (28/10/2016 08:21)
very nice orchid gardens, it is worth the visit. Tip: find the cool garden to cool down a little bit
Lovro Soldo (09/10/2016 00:37)
Amazing Orchid garden.
The garden covers an amazing amount of different Orchid types. In particular there are special VIP Orchids for popular visitor. Very interesting.
Hugh Webb (24/09/2016 19:48)
This is a place I often get to when in Singapore. You can take any of several buses to both the Tanglin and Bukit Timah gates, or, now, the SMRT to the Bukit Timah gate, but the orchid garden's an easier walk from the Tanglin entry point.
The orchids are beautiful as we all recognize; the photo opportunities spectacular. Realize too that there are more than just orchids on display throughout this garden. And check out the Cool House for orchids, flowers and plants indigenous to cooler, higher elevations. It's also a respite from the often oppressive heat and humidity.
Ana Woo (31/08/2016 15:03)
Orchids orchids orchids, all kinds of shapes, sizes and colors! Come see Singapore's national flower in all different forms! Absolutely amazing garden! The Cool House was also a nice break from the sweltering heat, definitely go there as well!
Barnabas Martin (08/07/2016 13:05)
These gardens are very well designed. The temperate rainforest is especially peaceful and inspiring! 2-3 hours would be just right to fully enjoy the gardens.

It's an orchid garden, what do you expect?
Yes, it started out as a usual garden. But the more we made turns, the more we WOW and AAW. It turns out to be more than just a huge garden. Don't wanna be a spoiler though. And perhaps it's useful to bring an umbrella, just in case.
Keezia Bostwick (24/06/2016 10:25)
So beautiful - wandered around for about an hour. So many orchids. Make sure to check out the cool house if you are melting from the Singapore heat!
Rita Y (15/06/2016 16:19)
The orchid gardens here are a must visit! Singapore's national flower is the Vanda Orchid. You can walk through their orchid garden and see the many orchids named after celebrities! Beautiful place for photoshoots but beware - I got several bug bites after visiting.
Robert Cooke (28/03/2016 23:14)
The national orchid garden is contained within the Botanical gardens so you will make this a day trip or least a half-a-day trip. The orchid gardens is about 1.5km from metro station but that doesn't really matter as you walk through the Botanical gardens to get here.
The Botanical gardens are free but the the orchid garden has a $5 fee. It's nice layed out and well tended to. I'll be honest that I am not a botany buff. After a while 1 orchid looks like another. It's gives decent info on orchids, it's evolutionary etc.
As I write it's the number 1 attraction in Singapore. I personally wouldn't go that far but it's still a nice place to escape the concrete jungle that is Singapore.
