June 2018 update: after the renovation, they don't have fresh fish, so no more ice bags (for if you need to keep your frozen foods cold in your freezer bag); very convenient, being on only one floor, though the stock of perishables (vegetables, mainly) seems much smaller than before.
Dec 2017: just renovated. Currently only one floor. Great range of items now, including Organic foods and their own range of products.
Jan 2017: Large store with lots of product stock, and a Unity pharmacy on L2. Its a normal Ntuc, not a Finest.

Although this is only a FairPrice outle it is well stocked enough for the regular family's daily grocery needs.
If you want more speciality commodities, it's still better to take the extra effort to visit one of NTUCs hypermarts, at the Wavemall or Ang Mo Kio Hub.

This newly renovated NTUC fair price in toa payoh is a bold move towards an inclusive society for the physically challenged and the elderly to do their grocery shopping. The supermarket boasts of spacious aisles with lots of room for wheelchair users and trolleys to meander from sections to sections. Many shelves are deliberately lowered for easy reach and the price tags are larger hence making it easier to be read. While it is only a single level of shopping as compared previously to the double storey they have attempted to bring in only the essentials and may have to increase manpower to replenish the shelves more regularly. Those who buy toto or 4D will be happy to know that a small corner is allocated for that purpose.

NTUC is undoubtedly Mr. Sell All!
U can get almost anything you need there!
Prices are reasonable in most things but beware of the fresh fowl section.Once I bought a fresh chick back only found that it was not as fresh as it was claimed.

Completed renovation in Nov 2017 after months of mess. From a 2 storey store dilapidated store, it was converted into a modern single storey store. Especially like the new trolley basket that's easy to push & the automated machine to lift the basket onto the cashier's counter. There are 4 self checkout counters. There's a bench to sit down next to the Singapore Pool & also a warm/cold water dispenser.
On the flip side, product & brand selection has shrunk due to limited floor space. Unfortunately the humans remain the same unfriendly / slightly rude ones. The biggest downside to an otherwise great upgrade.

Shopping here is pleasant, not as packed as the other NTUC next to mrt. Cashiers are friendly and some do take note of you and chit chat with you if you visit often enough.

This medium sized supermarket is 2 floors, 1st floor with fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy and food. 2nd floor has canned goods, bottled drinks. The 2nd floor also sells appliances, home items and kitchen gadgets. Excellent to do groceries if you live nearby.
