Helpful salesperson. I was satisfied with the price of the the washing machine I bought. Delivery, however, took longer than they claimed it would.

When Mega Discount Store says that it prides itself on offering consumer electronics at gold value, it’s true! As a customer, your electronics come with a good heart workout and more!
Your customer journey begins when you place an order with Mega Discount Store. On the day of delivery, be surprised by a lack of .. your delivery. Upon calling their friendly customer service, you find out two things: (1) they missed your order, and (2) they can’t deliver until much later, because of a strike in the source country. Their friendly customer service reps even encourage you to check if other stores aren’t having the same problem, because which customer doesn’t love a good challenge?
So now, I’m sitting in my empty house, with a free challenge to set my heart racing, and whole long wait to look forward to. Wonder what else comes next!

Mega discount store - Buy at your own risk
We ordered quite a few items at mega discount store and the salesperson was great, responsive and offered discounts.
Things went downhill once we made the full payment.
1) they informed us that the shipment for the washer/dryer will only come in May 18 when we order in early 2018 and made full payment by Mar 18. The only option was to take the display piece as we had to move in by April
2) on the date of installation of aircon, the delivery called our ID (not the official contact that we provided) that they missed out our order. We only knew when we called in to check on the delivery. Shortly after, the sales called and said they ran out of stock as there was a strike in Thailand. Similar to above, we had made full payment in Mar and had placed the order earlier. When we reach out for clarification, the person said that it was the strike in Thailand to blame and they can’t do anything. The only solution they provided was for us to top up for the 2 ticks system. They even challenged us to check with other electronics stores for stock. But they completely missed the point. The fact was, had they not missed placing our order and our delivery date, they may not had ran into the strike issue.
Utterly disappointed with the lack of service recovery.

Very very bad experience with this so-called "Mega Discount Store". Went down to the store last Saturday to purchase a washing machine as my current one was spoilt, and was given the earliest delivery date of Thursday (today). The salesman said I can self-collect on Monday, if not, the earliest for them to deliver and install will be on Thursday. Since it is only a few days difference, I waited.
Received a call from them yesterday at 6.18pm mentioning that they have no stock for the washing machine and it has been out of stock FOR A LONG TIME. The only way to resolve this issue is 1. Go down to the store after 2pm with my receipt and credit card to get a refund, or 2. Choose another model BEFORE 7pm so that they can pack for delivery. Requested for discount because of their mistake, not given. And I am left with a 5 days worth of dirty clothes. What's worse is ALL the models he recommended was selling more expensive than Lazada.
Now I have to find time to get back my refund by going down to the store.
I will NEVER step into this store again and I STRONGLY recommend others not to waste your time at this store. Your time will be much better spent at Gain City or Courts.

Marcus/HP: 91919161 is the Best!!
After much research and price comparison between various stores in person, I purchased my new TV from Mega Discount Store, 101 Thomson Road, United Square, #B1-56D/E, S(307591). My first ever purchase from Mega Discount Store and that turned out to be one of the best purchase.
Excellent customer service by a sales boy named Marcus 👏👏. Received the lowest price I could find anywhere in Singapore, that too for a newest (2017) model TV with free bracket and installation. Believe it or not!!
If any one planning to purchase a TV, I would suggest to call or WhatsApp Marcus @ 91919161 and head to Mega Discount Store, United square, Novena. Tell him, you're Cook's friend - you will get lowest price than any other store and, their own listed price 😍. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed is all that I can say 👍👍

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Mega Discount Store! Bought aircon and storage water heater from them. After water heater installation, got a shock when installer asked for cash payment. I called to verify if it's really not included in the sales, the guy on the phone immediately raised his voice "WHERE GOT INCLUDE INSTALLATION ONE!!!! YOU TELL ME WHICH COMPANY WILL INCLUDE INSTALLATION ONE!!!!" I am only checking for verification and there is definitely a better and more polite way to answer my question. Yes, I may have forgotten if your sales had told me before, I may overlooked it's also stated i my invoice about payment directly to installer, but be polite when your customer is asking for verification only. The rudeness prompted me to raise my voice back by telling him my 2nd question was "WHAT I AM ASKING IS HOW DO I PAY THE UNCLE OR THE STORE????" His tone changed when he heard my intention was to ask how to pay and not to pay! My advise to the STUPID GUY who take my call, I didn't get his name, I read about good comments about Mega Discount Store and that's why I chose to patronize your store, don't let bad customer service bring down your store reputation! And don't jump before you listen what your customer want to say! Not even an apology but just a softer tone after that. Why so rude in the first place? Why so quick jump to conclusion that I am one of your bad customer? My first experience patronizing your store is bad enough for me to visit again. Now I am doubtful on those good comments I read about Mega Discount Store are real.
