About 10mins walk from the Double Helix Bridge. Multiple food options available at different price points. The spicy crab was amazing and you get gloves to eat it with to protect your hands from the burn. Plastic tables and chairs are the only available seating and the clean up is basic so look out for pigeons, flies and ants. No public bathroom facilities within sight

Great seafood at more than half price of those major seafood restaurants nearby! Although the sitting environment is not so proper and the restaurant is below average .... the taste at such price justified it. It is a real good experience of local SG dining

This is more of a tourist market now then before. Its like a decorated hawker centre with the views and location, but with the typical hustle of a typical neighbourhood hawker centre.
You see more tourists eating there and its no wonder. Food is 2~3x more expensive but with mediocre quality and taste. Place is more dirty and strewn with more rubbish than any average hawker centre. This is perhaps also because of the fans around blowing all the used tissues around.
I would definitely avoid this place as a local unless its the only place left open if I was hungry and in the vicinity.

Lots of food choices. I would definitely call this place hot tabling, the place is packed and you'll need to wait out for a vacant table to enjoy the hot food. Recommended if you want to try out the regions food.

If you like getting ripped off and eating mediocere food, this is the place for you!!

This is what I would call a tourist trap, and for those tourists reading this review who don't heed the advice, you're about to get trapped.

Food is twice the price of what you would buy in some other hawker centre, staff working there are fed up with their lives and project it onto their customers, and the food... at best acceptable. At worst, absolutely tasteless.

Beware beware!

Pros: the view, but then again the view is free. The uncle at the local delights stall was quite nice.

Cons: everything else probably.

An open air food court next to the Esplanade, has many stalls of mostly seafood and chinese food. Price are varied, depends of the kind of food we order, the cheapest one is the Chicken rice. Roasted or steamed, it cost you around 5-6 dollars. The ambience is very nice, if you sit a little bit further you may get a nice spot looking at the bay.

Nice way to try a variety of local dishes without a huge price tag. Pretty crowded, but table turnover is high, so seats come available regularly. Try the watermelon or sugar cane juice--delicious and not too sweet.

Limited vendors in the area but it does offer a good selection of food choices from the surrounding island countries. There's lots of seating available and they open late. Staff keeps the area clean as soon as a table leaves. It is an outdoor food venue with tent coverage. Best to go when the temperature cools.

Great selection at cheap prices ~ 9 sgd for a satay meal. Great view of the marina sands hotel, great ambience with the food stalls by the water

Eduardo Silva (25/10/2017 20:08)
Nice food, from all over Asia. The seller's can be a bit pushy, but just ignore them, they don't really care. I had a set duck rice that was fantastic. Thai food is also delicious here.

Jonathan Chong (29/09/2017 16:47)
Amazingly tasty local food served in an awesome atmosphere by the water. The ambience is great, food is awesome and view is wonderful... what more can you ask for!

Yvonne Yong (07/09/2017 00:47)
I recall the food used to be good a couple of years back when I first visited. Now the quality had plunged down so bad that their food is not edible. Sisig was okay, fried noodles was bland, oh jien tastes so bad - oysters were probably already bad so basically nothing was edible. There are plenty of food courts in Singapore - don't choose this place because it's convenient, don't waste your calorie that way.

Attila Victor Achenbach (27/08/2017 17:10)
Nice location, but expensive, and food is really really lousy. As this is a touristy spot kind of representing Singaporean cuisine, I think the government should intervene and fix this - it's seriously that bad.

Henry Kim (25/07/2017 03:35)
Cheap food with an awesome view. Definitely come at night when all the lights are out. Grab some cheap food from the counters and eat at the water's edge. You will get a great view of the skyscrapers with the iconic Marina Bay Sands.

On warm evenings this places comes alive and it can be hard to find a place to sit on a warm weekend evening. The food outlets along the side offer no frills dining at excellent prices. I have had good meals here and also some that are nothing to write home about. A great social place to come.

Jamal Alehremi (07/07/2017 15:00)
Amazing local sea food 🥘 specially the chilli crabs and stingrays 😍 a must before sunset

Min Tee (30/06/2017 16:44)
It's not the best hawker center in Singapore but the food's pretty good and the location unbeatable. It's a good place to combine the convenience with the want to eat local hawker fare. There's usually a queue at certain shops so be prepared to be patient here be it for searching for a table or waiting in line to order some food.

gurdiksh malhotra (29/06/2017 11:39)
Soon Lee was great; try any of the noodle dishes. Also the restaurant selling Roti was a good value meal.

Gomer Aquino (07/05/2017 11:27)
Vibrant hawker center where you can sample dishes from Singapore and neighboring countries. The idea is to order small plates from the various food stalls until you get your fill. The food is tasty and flavorful and sold at reasonable prices. It is also generally safe as food stalls risk being closed if found in violation of food safety standards.

Outdoor seating guarantees uninterrupted views of the downtown skyline and waterfront, making for a pleasant dining experience, except when the tropical heat becomes unbearable. The place is open until late, ideal for those late night food trips.

Richard Navarro (23/03/2017 07:16)
Food was okay the other hawkers have better food in my opinion. Location was next to my hotel so that was definitely a plus. This looks newer than the other places though .

When you arrive it will be packed so be sure to split up and have one of you hold down a table while the other grabs the food. Seats under the fan sound like a good idea until you sit there for 5 minutes and notice that the fan is simply way too strong and blowing in your face and all your napkins and some food away

Very vibrant and good lighting at night

Be prepared to spend a bit more compared to the other markets

Great hawkers. Prices are slightly higher than average hawkers, but totally worth it. Highly recommended the grilled food hawker, the grilled squid is AMAZING. There are also all other kind of asian food, and fresh chilli crab. Only downside is that if it is weekend, it may be hard to get a table.

Beatriz Rodriguez (11/03/2017 06:00)
Great place to eat after sightseeing in Marina Bay or listening to and outdoor concert in Esplanade. Prices slightly higher than other food courts but also location is better. The Thai stall has a very yummy pad thai!

Wonderful place to bring your overseas friends. Total Singapore experience at a reasonable price.

Jessica Wu (16/01/2017 10:29)
Plentiful hawkers with good variation. Definitely a clean, modern feel to this area - but still retains that charm-y hawker vibe. Fast service, delicious food, warm atmosphere. Very hustle + bustle, would love to come back to try some more stalls.

Henry Erik Estrada (07/01/2017 15:49)
An upscale of singapore hawker. It is said the stalls are compilation of Singapore's best. I find most of them are average taste. It is crowded at peak dinner time. But if you manage to grab empty tables the view wont dissapoint you.

Ram O. (02/01/2017 07:40)
Whenever I have visitors from overseas and after/before the tiring walk within the City, I normally bring them here for dinner. It is an upscale hawker situated at a great location. The price can be a bit higher and the food are not as great as the actual hawker centers but it is still pretty decent. Like what other reviewers mentioned, it can get too crowded here and may be a bit challenging to find a seat.

Tony Mills (23/11/2016 21:05)
Singapore is a great mix of cultures, food and businesses, blended in a way to make your experience the very best possible and a place you never get tired of. The safest place and the cleanest city in the world without doubt. The Singaporeans all speak English and are courteous, helpful and eager to please.

A More Upscale Hawker Experience

Tucked right beside the Esplanade and with a good view of the Singapore skyline, this cleaner and more touristy hawker has decent to so-so offerings though ambience is fairly better than average

The Damage (no drinks): S$20-40 for two

~~TRY😍:
Sisig @ Gerrys Grill [sizzling chopped up pig parts makes for a happy dish]

~~OKAY🙂:
Chicken/Pork Satay @ Alhambra Padang Satay
Oyster Omelette @ Soon Lee
Seafood Fried Rice @ Redhill Rong Guang

Good hawker stalls, but very standardly good. Very bougie and filled with tourists. I liked it, but I wouldn't come back, because theres nothing that stood out. and hawker stall are a dime a dozen.

Rufus Philip (10/10/2016 14:17)
A good food street near esplanade.. walk down from merlion to here passing the theatres. A large variety of cuisines, Malay, thai, Chinese.... Crowded in the evenings, but that is because the food is good and the ambience too...

Stephanie Ngui (27/08/2016 09:51)
Top place for hawker street food. Can be difficult to find a seat. Has a wide variety of food - I tried the kway teow, satay and black carrot cake. All of it was fantastic and very filling. Prices are very reasonable and the view is lovely. It is walkable from City Hall and Raffles Place. Bring small cash change. Also bring your own napkins.

VJ SG (23/08/2016 05:11)
Great food and always busy with lots of customers. Its always been hard time to find seats at this locations. If you ever planned to go ... do make sure to be real early.

They have a variety of food selections and always populated by Tourists. It offers a great view of Singapore City Skyscappers. Evening are the best time to chill out. Not to be missed is the Singapore Chill Crab and Satay.

Junqin Eric (27/06/2016 15:19)
Apart from Lau Pa Sat and Satay by the Bay. This is probably the place to drop by for some of the best hawker food in Singapore. The top hawkers from Singapore were asked to set up a branch here. So get ready an empty stomach for the feast.

Annie Travels To Eat (23/06/2016 19:59)
Great food and ambience!! I had satay sticks, Hokkien prawn mee and white carrot cakes.. mmm

binit shakya (15/06/2016 07:45)
Local singapore cusines and many from south east asian region... reasonable price bt certain dishes may be pricey..should try though..bring umbrella if going thr on a rainy day

Melissa Hie (27/05/2016 16:56)
Decent option for an easy local food joint in a touristy area. People complain they are "expensive" but they are really just $1-2 more per plate than usual hawker center.

Patsy Cheok (17/03/2016 04:19)
was there to meet my overseas friend last night.....the food there are just terrible. if they are catering to tourists, they should have some quality and standard. apart from the ambiance, worst food ever taken. any coffee shop or food center's stall can do better then them! whoever is managing this place need to review the food there. a real embarrassment to Singapore!
