Come here for the coffee and croissants - they never disappoint! :-) Croissants aux amandes is a sweet delight, though If you're feeling really 'sophisticated', try it plain with coffee.
Other recommendations- quiche lorraine, nicoise salad, chia seeds with coconut mix and potato pie (seasonal). Nearly every item in Maison Keyser is fresh and tastes great! Service is top-notch too, both from the French and Singaporean servers.
The only drawbacks are the small seating area, and rather mediocre pastries. Though the lemon loaf cake is good.

good quality bread and croissants

Very good desserts! Not that crowded anymore, perhaps due to the appearance of other desert joints in the same mall. But nonetheless, the quality of their food has remained consistent. Prices are typical of those charged in town, tending towards the high side. Good quiet environment to hide away from the crowd.

Delicious croissant aux amandes, the Monge which is a best seller is so-so. Also they don't have enough selection in the bakery which is a pity.

The croissant is just absolutely amazing. Look at the layers, that you can't even count.

The choice of food is limited. Had the Madelines and the squid ink salmon burger. The food was fine. They offer value meals or combos with dessert and drink, but will not give you the discounted price if you decline to take the drink and offer to pay the full price anyways, kind of weird. Not the most pleasant experience with the staff.

Resist the urge to buy a croissant in the afternoon or evening...(normally they're baked in the morning). Despite knowing better I still purchased one after 7pm, which was unsurprisingly stale tasting. 🙄

Decent crossiants but I prefer the ones from Tiong Bahru Bakery. This one didn't quite give me the "wow!"

Came early before 9am and ordered a set breakfast ($8.90). It consisted of a Tuna croissant and I upgraded to a Decaf Cafe Latte at $1.80 more. Place was pretty empty save from 3 customers besides me. Nice place to sit and have breakfast as it not noisy and crowded. The lady server was very warm and friendly. Keep up the good service!

Absolutely worst place to eat. Normally, i wouldnt leave reviews like that, but the horror that is this cafe is truly noteworthy.
So... i went to the scotts one for the 1st time about 2 months back.. and the only reason for that is because it is next to a supermarket where i got a salad (without utensils). I sat down at the cafe n ordered fruit in order to eat my salad. Only fair. Well.. i ended up doing that at least a dozen more times ever since. For reasons as will become evident, today shall mark the last time.
Now, for watever reasons, a new staff of theirs refused me service when i tried to order. Flat out ignored me and even tended to the lady who came after me. I then went to talk to her colleague who knows me, but it was clear she didnt take my feedback well. For once she said to me.. no outside food.
Now, i dont dispute that many places have such a policy. Bt clearly tats not wat this is about--not when the only time she decides to implement it is on the heels of my "complaint". Wat is the more infuriating is the kind of self implicative n contradictory statements she made. Such as... "oh yea.. in the past i just closed one eye". I was like, yea, thks for proving my point about how this time around she obviously was concerned only with venting watever personal displeasure she had toward me.
I said earlier that this is noteworthy. Well, here comes the ultimate finale. I called up the head office and spoke with some general manager. Now, i dont know their names as they dont wear name tags.. so in order to summarily describe the facts, i had recourse to identifying the two individuals as "the chinese staff" and the "filipino staff". Immediately, this retarded manager flipped n railed against me thus "wat the F@#_! are you a racist pig? Nonono.. we simply cant have that kind of racial stuff..."
Enough said about the absolute dysfunction and personality issues of this joint. And anyway... it is the worst value for money place ive seen. 14 dollars for a small packet of disgusting rice?? Come on.. who is the ric-ist here?
P.s.: besides, wat kind of a world are we living in when any bare mention of race can automatically conjure up racism? (nevermind that clearly my complaint has nothing to do with that--i was merely trying to quickly describe who is who in a way that could not be more pedestrian. n at any rate, i AM chinese n the person i was lodging against is chinese herself) psychologically speaking, people like this general manager who can get so riled up over such matters are the true racists at heart. Becux thats all they can think of. Certainly, no normal person would have overreacted like tat under such circumstances.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all cost.

Service was decent, but the food wasn't great. The coffee was also far too bitter.

French, light fare at reasonable (Orchard) prices. Bread was delicious.

this is undeniably the best bakery in town. using only specific high quality ingredients, their bread is the freshest, tastiest and the most sweet-smelling. it's the perfect start to any day - rain or shine.
