A good weekend awaits at Macritchie Reservoir. The Mushroom Cafe is a good starting point for the workout.

Great place for hiking with your kids, can meet monkeys. Has a lot of facilities for runners including public lockers and showers.

I frequent Macrtichie often as I love the peace and tranquility. The various tracks brought me up to be a fit person. I enjoy the year round beauty of the nature which is close to my heart and home.

Fantastic place. Clean has showers, toilets, drinking fountains and vending machines (its says it takes paper money, but it wouldn't accept mine. Only coins).
The views are fantastic and the tracks are lengthy. Perfect place for a jog or a run. It even has turtles swimming around in the water and monkeys (BE CAREFUL! As the monkeys will try to take your stuff)

The forest trails are nice especially when there's less people. Weekdays are usually quiet enough. Trails leading to the central catchment and bukit timah are the best.

Beautiful serene place. Good spot to relax in the concrete jungle that is Singapore. We enjoyed exploring the trails and kayaking. Highly recommended to visit with family.

Nice and tranquil place to walk/run esp in the morning (many monkeys there though)

Nice natural environment around a reservoir. Look out for the monkeys if you've food with you. They can get quite aggressive. A good cross country trail with hanging bridge awaits visitors. Bring sustenance if planning to go round the trail.

Back to nature by visiting this park. Trails are well maintained. The tree top walk is also located within the park. It will take you a good 3-4 hours to walk around the park.

"Remote" to access by public transport by Singapore standards ,but a lovely quiet sprawling area. Practically non commercial .Only suitable for an unhurried relaxed visit, or purposeful jogging or cycling trip.

Nice trials and nature. Some wild animals around. Be careful with the aggressive monkeys though.

One of the oldest nature reserves in Singapore and still provide good hiking choice. And there is canoeing and kayaking too.
Logen Lanka (26/06/2017 10:32)
Good place for hiking and jogging till the early evening. Don't recommend jogging there after dark.

I loved visiting MacRutchie. It us beautiful and running in the mud there was the best. Able to see two animals fight the the lake. One of my best experiences in my life.

Perfect place to go if you're looking for a break from the city. Have a picnic, go kayaking, or trek 10km to the TreeTop Walk and around the reservoir.

If you're sick of tourist ares such as Orchard or City Hall, you may probably write this forest walk into your travel agenda.
This is a nature view of tropic forest. Travelers will see monkey somewhere. This place may request sports wear and comfortable shoes. Local people come here to do morning or evening exercise normally.
Travelers MÄY combine Bukit Timah hill, tree top walk and macritchie nature walk into 1 day visit, provided you must have enough energy.
The 24-hour coffee shop in opposite of Bukit Timah shopping center is great. You will enjoy native Prata there. A great exercise route for locals as well.
This is also a great place to catch dratini.

On my last day in Singapore I decided to hang out in this wonderful park! It is such a nice place to calm down from diary life! It is really quiet and it is just a really relaxed place! Go there and hang out! Enjoy it! I loved it

Amazing park, really suggestive views and full of animals - monkeys, lizards, turtles, fishes, birds... Great for pictures, perfect for those who love nature
Agung Tresna (14/08/2016 11:43)
The exit that I choose for ending my treetop walk and completing 10km walk. Among all, this probably the best place for picnic and enjoy the after-walk sensation.

A piece of nature in the middle of Singapore - amazing views of the reservoir, a nice trail along the nature reserve covered with deck. If you are luck, you can see monkeys on the way. The more adventurous can rent a kayak and sail in the reservoir.

One of the nicest parks around in Singapore with a huge area to walk around and enjoy the views of nature. Ample parking space and toilet, bathing facilities. Though food options are rather limited.

Perfect for a run or a hike in the woods. A path meanders through the rain forests and provides shade throughout the whole 10k round. It's humid, though, and there is only little breeze. The latter is better to have closer to the water (or on it) where wooden pathways lead along the coast. Went for an early morning run on a Saturday just before the crowds started to occupy the path (so finish your run by 11).
