This is easily one of the most amazing places for seafood. Visited the restaurant with a bunch of colleagues and boy did we went to town with our orders. There’s so much to try and so little time (and stomach). But I’d strongly recommend the seafood hor fun, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Every mouthful is sheer heaven! While you’re there, be sure to order crab. The juicy pincers were to die for, and then remember to order ManTou (steamed buns) to soak up every drop of that sauce that literally drowned the crab 😆

The Black Pepper sauce is really delicious but need to upgrade on the type of crab because it's fleshy on the claw but not so much on the body parts.

Service poor and chilli crab over-rated by along way. Price way over the top, much better idea is Smith St, Chinatown!

They offer great chilli crabs. All dishes in general are nice and good customer service. Pricing on the menu can be misleading - we went there in a group of 4 people and ordered a meal package for 2 people plus an additional crab dish, it stated on the menu for S$268 but we ended up paying S$313 as they charge 20 percent of service charge tax as well as 5 percent GST on top of the standard charge ;(

Great service and good food. Try the following:
Black pepper 🦀
Chilli 🦀 with fried buns
Fried noodles - Mee goreng
Deep fried baby 🦑
Steam 🦐

The food is fantastic and the service is first class. Was served by Miss Yoko Pang. Even though it was a pack night, she still delivered very good service.

We got here at 5pm and we we're the only guests. The service was fantastic ! We ordered complicated dishes. The staff was very helpful in breaking it down for us. If you come from the US watch for the napkin and peanuts charge.

I tried the crab bee hoon and a simple vegetable dish of asparagus and scallop. To be honest the crab bee hoon wasn't great in the soupy sauce. There was no mention of the crab bee hoon being a soup and the other crab bee hoon's I've tried have normally been dry, so that was what I was expecting. Once it had arrived however we were informed it could have been prepared as a dry dish, but as we weren't told it was a soup dish we had no way of knowing. Anyway, the milky soup aside, the actual crab was good quality. It was Sri Lankan and quite big. The vegetable dish was quite nice, but for twenty two dollars it was a bit expensive for what we got. Overall the device was good and attentive, but the food wasn't anything amazing. We might have had a better experience with other food choices, but in terms of what we paid and what we got, I felt it was a little pricey and not the most memorable seafood I've had.

Much better than the Dempsey Hill branch. Doesn't feel as claustrophobic and staff more responsive

Food was amazing: chilly crab, black pepper crab 👌👌
Service however was pretty poor; hard to get your waiters attention, unclear pricing, and then a $30 'service charge' slapped on the bill at the end.

I went to Singapore for our annual family trip and had the best lobster in Long Beach Seafood restaurant. Would love to visit again.

Great experience - food was very flavourful. Everyone enjoyed it. Had Steamed sea bass and a CNY set menu. Everything came out was wonderful.

Good. The Crabs are really delicious!
No worries, the juices will not splatter on your clothes, they provide you aprons and gloves to prevent the smell of pepper and condiments lingering on you

Great food. Good service. However, it will be closed after 13/2/2017.

Disastrous service.... we came to eat crab.... we had booked a table at 21h00. We had taken a whole menu. Everything was Ok until we started realizing the crab wasn't coming... the staff started leaving the restaurant and the manager came with her bag ready to leave... at 23h00... saying she was sorry about the delay... that they had served the crab to another table by mistake... given how much we paid and how much we waited... an apology wasn't enough... we ended up leaving with the crab in a takeaway box... because the children were falling asleep. Terrible and disappointing experience.

The Black Pepper Crab and Scottish Clams were absolutely delicious! I really prefer this place over Jumbo and No Signboard where the quality of the food still vary a little. The price is definitely on the higher end, but then again expected as all other seafood restaurants in Singapore. Be prepared to spend between 50-80/pax if you would like to have a decent meal here.

I went in the afternoon and it wasn't as crowded as I thought it would be. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Quick to attend and proactive. Food was good.

It you're looking for authentic Singaporean chili crab, Long Beach Main is the obvious choice. Excellent crab. Undeniably good. But over-the-top expensive. Good for a one-time experience.

The crabs here are simply delish! We had ordered the black pepper crab, chili crab, deep fried duck, and a host of other dishes including the mantou (buns) both steamed and deep fried to accompany the chili crab. Yum!!!
The dessert that I could see nearly every table ordered was the mango or sago pudding sitting atop of jar which had dry ice in coloured water was gimmicky but looks like everyone fell for it and paid for it too.
Amazing seafood meal and would love to come back in next visit.

A great place for Singaporean chili crab (don't forget to try the black pepper crab if you can!)
Ashwin Fernandes (21/05/2016 17:58)
We have much better seafood restaurants in Singapore. Not at all happy with the Medan style fish, garlic kailan and sambal prawns. Service so so. If you really want to spend your dollars go to Jumbo. If you want true authentic zichar food Ban Leong beats them by any day and far cheaper.

A friend of mine found this place online as a spot to try out the chili and pepper crab. I'm not a huge fan of crab because of the work you have put in to get at each piece of meat but here it was absolutely worthwhile.
We ordered a set course fit for 3 people based off our waitress's suggestion. Both crabs were great - I liked the pepper more - and the lobster was outstanding. The sauce they placed on the lobster it paired perfectly with the meat.
If you travel to Singapore, you have to try both types of crab. You can't go wrong doing it at Long Beach.
