Very well equipped shop for f&b equipment and reasonably priced, lower than most places. However it's difficult to shop there because how crowded it usually is, and it's not exactly neat and spacious to begin with. Grab a staff if you know what you're looking for.

Lousy service. Delivery not on time. Was told 3-4pm, 7pm goods then reach. Last min told 1 item no stock. Call them promised call back but never. Worst experience with them. Never patronise again.

Good place to look for cutlery and utensils, they have a very wide range.

Very very bad customer service attitude, impatient customer service, do not work as customer service if you're bad at it and have no patience in checking orders or answering customer's questions, the female cs have bad customer, the male sounds more polite

Shopped here several times and admittedly the service was lacklustre bordering on absent. It's a lot of work to get attention of the staff members (who work extremely hard to be fair) and even when joining the queue at the check out counter to just ask a simple question, you are still made to jostle with more "experienced" buyers who will just cut ahead or you and get attended to. There are many other traders along the street who are similarly priced with pretty much the same goods but with a more pleasant experience.

Very very very disappointed with works.... HR called me to come for interview. I already reached 7.45 early morning, but one of the elderly man said, u come again 11 clock for interview... so, I'm in desperate time.. so I'm waiting at near the bus stop.
The time is running, reach 11, I go back to the shop, asking for them to arrange my interview... but, one of the lady work... treated me very cheap....
I'm so unhappy and very disappointed.. 😢😢😢😢😢😢 I think their don't know how to respect other races... ( PLEASE DON'T CHOOSE RELIGION, WE ARE ONE NATION....) hope, change their attitude and teach them how to give others respect each other... but, the (HR DEPARTMENT) good..went talk to me, explaining very clear to me,thank you (HR DEPARTMENT )

Poor customer service attitude. Not flexible in answering request for after 6pm grab-and-go purchase. Not even willing to wait another 10 -15 mins after 6PM.

Lau Choy Seng caters to professional chefs and restaurants, but it is a store home cooks can shop at too. On the edge of Chinatown it is a great stop for culinary minded tourists. They have everything and then some. We have purchased quite a bit every visit to Singapore we make. Staff while not attentive (which is okay the store is geared to professionals who know what they want) is polite and help as needed.
As it is near in Chinatown it is also worth checking out for a souvenir for your culinary minded friends and family. The cheap plastic souvenirs in Singapore are almost all awful. There is something in this densely packed store for them.
