Bought ticket for 8pm bus, but I guess it's going to depart at 9 pm. I just don't get it!
Picking up more passengers at Tun Aminah at 8.55 pm. Well, no more Billion Stars! 😤

Having experienced many clean and well run bus terminals in Malaysia, this one is a bit of a letdown...busy, chaotic, dirty, many touts... there's a new spacious, air-conditioned waiting room with a ton of chairs, but...only to look at from behind the glass window, the security doesn't let you in until exactly half hour before the departure time, and they mean that very literally, I couldn't get in at 35 minutes before, how ridiculous!

It's easy to find a bus to go another city. There are so many local food there and also junk food too.

Grab some tasty local snacks before going onboard Interstate bus. Much cheaper and stomach filled whilst traveling. Indonesians running the food business serving fresh local food.

As I write this review, construction is on-going at the Larkin Bus Terminal. Organise ticket system and waiting area. However, one needs to go out the platforms (A to D) to ride their respective bus. No more shortcut access to KFC/Pizza Hut.

Everything is under one roof. From clothes to fresh vegetables. They have almost everything. In the midst of upgrading. Larkin will soon be the next TBS i think . Toilet cleanliness is still an issue.

They have ticket vending machines, newly renovated manual purchase ticket counters, kind of airport departure hall and barcode scanning ticket entrance nowadays. A lot cleaner and more convenience than before.
Of course, there are variety shop lot for alternative shopping place than normal shopping malls.
At least they trying to improve the image of this long service terminal bus to suit the requirements of modern days.

Larkin bus terminal improving. Now it has self-kiosk ticketing system. As well as centralised ticketing counter. There is individuals bus provider that still has their ticketing counter available.
A lot of shops n restaurant. Subway available here.

I bought ticket larkin-KL on line by android software, and its on time. Peoples and crews are very kind and helpfull. The terminal is old, some room is under renovation.

Surprisingly not crowded for a main bus terminal
Very organised air conditioned ticketing office and clean surrounding
Generally terminal is not air conditioned & does not have usual diesel fume in the air.
Passengers waiting for buses are left standing as insufficient seats
A tidy terminal without proper zebra crossing for those crossing to platform D
Terminal was dark at 6.45pm due to rain
Lights came on at 7pm & everyone could see each other
Major work in preparing for more terminals

the bus terminal looks a tad disorganized. partly because its undergoing some renovations? booked a bus ticket to melaka with mayang sari. rm21 one way.
before boarding, happen to spot a mama cat taking the usual morning cat nap with her babies... :)

Bus arrival and departure area is not well organised so it's mostly congested. The whole complex lacks better organization but what's important is that the buses still depart, mostly on time. The new ticket counters actually give you a piece of mind, they look good and the staff speaks english. Now, the terminal itself is under renovation so the congestion is even more pronounced. Hope for more buses to more places from the renewed terminal. Food and stores are abundant so no one will be hungry or thirsty. Indoor airconditioned seating area is totally missing. Overall, very useful bus terminal.

Looking forward for the reborn of the station.
The Larkin sentral mean a lot for the public connection in the southern. Hope the best

ONLY BUY TICKET AT THE COUNTER. Never buy from anybody outside the counter or risk yourself to be scammed. Newly renovated counters are inside the building. The whole bus terminal is currently under major facelift.

Very messy. Just be careful don't ever buy tickets from the broker. Always go to ticket counter.
Ivan Nosha (25/06/2017 08:12)
Very dark and dirty terminal.
Food options are limited to a few local stalls with questionable quality of food, plus dunkin donuts/subway option. Toilets are filthy and need renovation asap, actually as the whole building itself as it's way to old. One part houses a market, so it smells like fish and rotten food, also infested with the roaches.
No clear signs of the platform location and you have to be cautious at all times when walking around and keep an eye on your staff as well as buses moving in and out of the parking.
Sad that they don't maintain it as they should, since it's a big bus hub with plenty of travellers at all times.

It's rundown, numerous hawkers. But it's a good station. Numerous businesses, eateries, money changers, pharmacy and a dentist office. A quick way to Singapore stalls 5, 6 and 7. Pay the driver 2.50 MR.

The Southern Bus Terminal... Its a little run down but u know what... Its better than nothing... Basically, I'm happy than this terminal does make use for end users... Imagine if the Southern side doesn't have terminal? So, lets appreciate of what we have... Improvement is needed but lets go slow... Great job Johorians...
Muhammad Faisal Bin Mahmood (05/05/2017 13:12)
Very old place, no proper signage. Messy carparks. Ppl standing everywhere touting for customers to drive back to Singapore. No regulations. Most workers there are Indonesian who don't look too happy working. Kinda makes you wonder if they were being forced to work against their will.
Left This place not feeling good. Like a chunk of your happy life just got reduced to a backward planet.

After renovation of Larkin 🚌 station looks very good and have a nice service restaurant are likely good
All Street Research (24/03/2017 19:09)
Cheaper bus fare to Kuala Lumpur as compare to bus fare from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. The bus terminal covers all inter state routes in Malaysia. Bus number 170 goes to this bus terminal from Singapore. Transit here is enjoyable with good local foods and a wet market. Don't forget to have takeaway snacks before your bus journey from this terminal.
aziph mustapha (19/03/2017 08:39)
We've taken the bus from and to here a couple of times. Its good enough as bus terminals go, with food and amenities. The place is pretty clean though the toilets could be better.
Swee Ho Tang (16/03/2017 02:37)
Need to improve and do better without stopping the travelers who want to choice their bus service of preference.
taha luthfi (06/03/2017 15:08)
Provide many buses. Just have to choose wisely ^_^. Never buy from "ulat". Haha
The market are OK and the facilities are good.

A very bad experience in using Qistna Express. The bus had been delayed half an hour with advanced notice. We can tolerate for this. However, after waiting for another one hour, we are so frustrated that the bus yet to arrive. Will never use Qistna Express anymore.

Convenient with CW1, CW3 and SBS buses going there regularly from Singapore to this bus terminal in Larkin, Johore. These busese bring you to other parts of Malaysia. I went to Pontian, about 2 hours journey costing a low price of RM5.40. There are regular buses going there. Met a Malaysian Chinese who was pickpocket there from Sarawak. He reminded to keep my things safe and locked.Place is disorganised and bus's schedule erratic . Overall , the place needs a overhaul as an important bus terminal. However , this disorganised place is still a cheap and great way to travel by bus in Malaysia.
Hanis Nasri (04/12/2016 14:39)
Too crowded n have crazy people on the bus sometimes. Have many restaurants n the facilities are good (surau, taxi, toilet, n etc). Just be careful with your personal things
Naveel Kabir (28/09/2016 22:38)
Not the best option, so just be careful, and make sure you put your valuables and other important stuff in some place other than your pockets, because pick-pocketing is very commonplace here. *CAREFUL*, and get your tickets from *AUTHENTIC* bus vendors (people in uniforms). I wouldn't say this vendor is for the light-hearted, whereas this vendor is for people that are very careful and smart. This bus vendor could use a LOT of improvement for a vendor that has buses that will take you to ANY STATE in Malaysia. With time, hopefully, this vendor will improve, because this is a major vendor that (hereinbefore stated) will take you to any state in Malaysia.
