One of the sounthern islands in Singapore reachable by ferry or boat from Marina South Pier.
There is a Chinese temple near the jetty and a Holy Shrine of Malay Saints (Keramat) on the inner hillock which is reachable by climbing 152 steps from the foor of the knoll. Also there are two lagoons on this island.
Throughout the year this island is not crowded. Chinese from Simgapore main island as well as from other neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and now Vietnam will visit this island during the Chinese Lunar 9th Month to offer veneration to the dieties in the Chinese temple and the Saints in the keramat.

A very beautiful, full of nature, scenic and sacred place. Less than an hour away from bustling life of Singapore, Kusu Island is a must go place to relax and enjoy silence with good weather. Make sure you pack food and drinks as there is no cafe there which is good.

Kusu Island is a small island besides Lazarus Island. It is small but has nice beaches. Not much facility there and F & B is lacking except in the Chinese Temple. Actually there is a food court but is empty. There are two temples there. One right at the center of the island. The other is less obvious and is situated at the southern end of the island on top of a hill.
