Kranji Marshes has a good balance between man-made developments and wildlife.

More remote than Sungei Buloh. Birders paradise.

Super tiny park ... Good to drop by if you are around Kranji area, not worth the effort if you have to travel all the way, or without own transport. Impossible to do "park hopping" here, at least 1.5hr of interval for next shuttle bus services.
For hiking purpose, Sungei Buloh will be much ideal place to visit.

Be charmed by the rustic nature of Kranji Marshes, a 56.8-hectare freshwater marshland that is home to unique biodiversity.

For nature lovers obviously. Very few visitors so if you prefer trees and insects more than people this is great for you. Parking is limited but I wouldn't worry about getting a vacant lot to park. From the main entrance to the end of the trail it's quite some distance away so choose the timing appropriately, you want to avoid walking under hot sun as there's no shade.
There's a observatory tower (main attraction) with some nice scenic views especially during sunset and 2 hides for bird watchers to hunker down and arm themselves with binoculars. Overall it's an interesting family outing but few attractions and a lot of walking without shades.

Another wonder of its own. Look here for serendipity. And lots of birds

It is located by the banks of the Kranji Reservoir. To reach it you have to drive along Neo Tiew Road, then turned left into Neo Tiew Lane 2, drive pass D'Kranji Farm Resort till you see the entrance of the Kranji Marshes.Parking is free but have to leave before 7.00pm as the place will be closed. It is a good place to have a nice walk or hike to relax and lower the pressure from work and hassle of the city.Umbrellas, hats, raincoats, refreshments, insect repalents are some of the things advise to bring along.

It is a beautiful tranquil small park. Great for people who own a BIG AXX camera lenses for bird-watching. If you just go there for sight seeing, you will be disappointed. But it will be a good place to clear your own need-to-visit list, one time visit place.

Good for walk and enjoy nature. You may see lots of bird flying there & here. You can take Kranji Express for easier to get here, the fee is $3/person. Do bring your water, wear comfortable shoes, and cap as it's usually hot during the day.

A natural and serene for small group or individual to find solace in a hustle bustle of city life.
Matthew Hardman (20/05/2017 12:17)
Basically a straight walk on a road to a roundabout and back again, not much in the way of wildlife to see.

Not a very big park and the marshes are small. But nice view at sunset.

Nice walk and facilities. Small. New, so needs time for plants to grow out

There may not be any slides or swings, but the Kranji Marshes is a great place to bring your family to learn about nature.

Very quiet place, the road between the entrance to wetland don't have much trees so it's very hot when you go after 9AM.
Kam Hoe Chaw (21/12/2016 05:44)
A new reserve just newly developed. Tress and plant are still very young and have to take a very long walk into the wetlands. will be hot around this place in the afternoon. And watch out for Wild Boars

Home to a rich array of flora and fauna, this 56.8-hectare freshwater marshland is one of the largest ones in Singapore, and boasts a rustic charm that will heighten your appreciation for nature.

Singapore's largest fresh water swamp. Most of the swamp area are not open to public. Guided tour to the non open area are available by NParks and Singapore Nature Society. The former conducts the tour in the afternoon and the latter in the morning. The tours are conducted twice a month on advanced booking basis. There is a Kranji Express Bus service that goes right into the park. The charges is $3 for adults, $1 for children and senior citizen.
There is a Rapier Tower where you can climb up to have a view of the whole swamp.
