Brought an 07 S350 from this company. Car could not be compiled as the suspension bushing and light assembly were shot. Car is currently at an auto electrician to be rewired. wiring looms buggered. Other issues include a puncture and boot latch inoperable. Consulted with the owner to get a new light assembly and he assured me he could get one from singapore. Several days later with several reminders I am still awaiting a reply.

I have dealt with Jerry Clayton over the last 4 years and have been very happy with the service and assistance Jerry has given in making the process as easy as possible
I have found that he comes back very quickly on all matters
I have recommended him to many of my friends and they have all been pleased with his service
It is extremely good having someone like Jerry doing this as his knowledge of the motor vehicle industry is second to none

I'm not a dealer. I like to own nice cars, but realise that the greatest cost in motoring is depreciation - fuel is a relatively minor cost. Over about 20 years I've bought around 24 cars from Jerry. In more recent years the quality has improved markedly. The horror stories you'll hear generally relate to wiring looms etc - which are just one of the things most manufacturers now produce in much better quality. The best I've bought? A 2008 Aston Martin DB9 (40,000kms) - absolutely superb, as confirmed by Aston Auckland who couldn't fault it. The worst? A BMW X5. Imported it 12 years ago. Dried leaves around fan ignited first night I had it. Hilarious. Had a transmission fault too. Sold it with full disclosure to a mechanic, for what it cost me. I still see his wife driving it. I've had some neat cars - often kept them for a year or so, and usually sold them for roughly what they cost me or a little more. Occasionally a little less after a year or so - but ask the average Kiwi 'euro' buyer what their depreciation's been........

Central Car Company has been dealing with Mr Clayton for over 25 years.
Mr Clayton is honourable, honest and has excellent communication regarding delivery and paperwork
The cars are of very high standard, most are packed with extras you can't find elsewhere. Pictures of the interior and exterior are always provided.

Top of the class to Kiwi Auto Exports. Jerry Clayton owns and operates it. I brought a 4 x 4 Volvo off Jerry. Great car, good price, but the brakes would not stop squeaking (sounded like ex-wife), any case next visit to Auckland Jerry comes to our house and says no problem, stop driving it like a girl!!!! So off we went for a blast and the squeak disappeared. Good work Jerry, we would not hesitate to buy another car off you

Jerry,
I have tried to reach you by phone and email without success. You have not thought it important to return my phone calls or reply my numerous emails, despite the fact that I have been your Long standing customer and Friend for many years.
I always held you in high esteem, but have been greatly disappointed at the treatment I have received from you in the purchase of this last vehicle.
The condition of the vehicle is totally poor.
- the whole front suspension needs replacement. Shocks, control arms, tutor ends, and much more. There was absolutely no way that you could not have known this because the car is a wreck and this I suspect is the reason why you can’t face up to me because of this embarrassment that you have caused yourself.
- the car is fraught with scratches everywhere, and has had a very poor paint job done on the right side.
- the rims are full of scratches.
- the car had a fuel leak into the main cabin and the whole car is smelling of fuel. The dealer here said the pump fitted is not the original one. Now I can’t even use the car because it’s smelling of fuel inside. It’s a bloody mess.
- the tyres are totally worn with front left one showing threads. Really Jerry? Come on. What kinda nonsense it this. For someone of your age and caliber? Where is your integrity in this picture?
It’s gonna cost me at least US$5K to bring this car to some kind of decent state. Have you no remorse Jerry?
- I requested for spare keys for this car from the time I bought this car up to now. The keys have not been sent. What does all this mean? Why would you do something so malicious Jerry? I have never done you any wrong.
This is a very sad and shameful state of affairs indeed. I just wish you’d have the conscience and courage to do the right thing to correct this. And it’s not only about money, but about integrity and legacy.
Shame on you Jerry. Shameful.
