This is one of my favourite Indian curry houses. I usually take their fish Bryani and they offer both fried and curry fish which is good. It also gives rice and side vegetables freely. Don't ignore their half price fish head curry, but only occasionally on Tuesday. Call to ask.

Karu's Indian Banana leaf restaurant is a good traditional South Indian restaurant.
This place serves many dishes specifically from the southern part of India.
They follow up the south Indian tradition of eating and serving on a banana leaf.
Thumbs up for that.
I was totally satisfied by the food and their staff members.
Very helpful and Nice owners of the restaurant.
This place has a huge dining area.
They also have an open terrace dining.

One of the best places to eat Indian food. They serve you on a banana leaf. The food is yummy. They serve you second helping which is the plus point and gives you extra papadum which is typical of an Indian restaurants in India. Want an Indian feel, go to Karu's.

Never had better Indian food! If you can sacrisfy on the atmosphere and ambience, I assure you the quality of the food as well as their generously will surely make up for that. Food is good and price even better! Cheap good food! Will recomend :)

Hidden within Sime Darby is a gem that was introduced by a friend recently, and fast became a favourite food haunt.
Great place to get indian food served on banana leaf.
Love to get their sambal flower crab...especially when the big ones are available...finger licking good.
Garlic naan and tandoori chicken are must tries

Mostly catered for Chinese population. Lacked authentic indian flavors. Highly visited by non-indians. Price is reasonable .

Beautiful Tamil food and amazing experience every time. Really good air conditioning as well. We first visited this place in 2001 when I was 7. We live in Australia now and we still visit, now with my husband and in-laws. It's a place that grows with your family. A must-visit in Singapore!

The irony about this restaurant, no matter how crowded and busy they serve with a smile and ensure customer satisfaction. I was there on New Year's Day on 01.01.2018 to pack food for my family in the afternoon. I wanted crab but since it was a busy day, it was sold out. However, the staff were quick to suggest prawns in place of crabs. They also gave additional gravy and Papadam for free. Food was also in perfect quality though crowded. I usually don't get good customer service from other banana leaf restaurants when it is crowded.

I used to have food from this restaurant 3-4 times, but not anymore. Food is good and economic. My impression changed couple of days ago. Problem: Hygiene.
I was waiting at the “take away” counter for my ordered item. One of the staffs was pouring curry into a small bowl and in between he dropped a bit of curry on the edges of the bowl and on the table. Then he used a small cloth to wipe the edges of the bowl. The same cloth will be used again for the same purpose. But later he used the same cloth to wipe out the table where there was a bit of curry. The thing is that the table is not clean.
And he used his bare hands to handle food item. They don’t even wear a hand glove. The same hand he used to hold the cleaning towel will be used to take food as well.
So not anymore…

The vegetarian meals was tasty and healthy but too simple. They have two Enfields parked outside for some reason.

This is a south indian restaurant serving food the traditional way, in banana leaves. They used to be at upp bukit timah road in a pre war shophouse, but is now at Sime Darby building, just at the doorstep of King Albert Park MRT - very convenient. Their signature dish is of course their Masala Chicken which is highly recommended ( it used to be quite salty, but at my last visit, it was not ) . Their other popular item is their Fish Head Curry which I've yet to try......

Traditional homely food. My favourite Sambar and Mysore chicken.
Roy Gaggino (16/06/2017 10:58)
Lovely no frills banana leaf curry buffet at $10 per head. Generous portions, just choose your meat dish, veggies are then provided with poppadoms and rice. Ginger tea is particularly good. Service is attentive and friendly. Nice place for a big group meal too.

Great food and customer service. The fish head curry can be further improved by having lesser oil. Easily accessible by MRT.

Very good banana leave style Indian curry. Fish curry best of all. Fish very fresh. Special offer for fish head curry on Tuesday, $13.90 for a good size head with plenty of Curry.
Jeslyn Lim (25/02/2017 09:06)
Amazing south Indian food. Order the vegetarian rice set. It comes with a whole lot of rice, 2 veggie sides and papadums. Sounds boring but it is enough and it is fantastic and not pricey. You can top up any dishes FOR FREE. Everything is served on banana leaf! Add on additional sides if you wish. Service is great too, servers are quick to respond.
The restaurant is huge and echoey, so may not be the best choice if you want to catch with friends over a meal - you're unlikely to hear anything. Many seats too, should be able to get a seat most times.
This place is definitely worth the effort to visit. We've been patronising from the time they were at bukit panjang. Never disappoints!
Elliot Wong (11/02/2017 01:31)
The food is awesome. Fish head curry is a must. Promotion on fish head curry on every Tuesday. Worth the $$

Opposite to king Albert mrt. Ample space . Go there if you are very much hungry and don't want to spend much but want to have a sumptuous non vegetarian option
Audrey Tan (02/09/2016 13:33)
Very reasonably priced & delicious Indian food! Love the free flow of veggie side dishes, rice, papadom, and chicken & fish curry. The masala chicken, fried fish, and mutton are simply delightful. The perfect way to top it all off is with a hearty swig of rasum (savoury brew akin to an aperitif).
Muhammad Aidil (17/08/2016 12:32)
Foods are great, aircondition and wide variety of indian seafoods.
Sankar Balasubramanian (04/07/2016 05:51)
Indian cuisine. They are famous for the fish head curry. I was surprised to see a lot of Chinese people walking in and checked with manager and confirmed that they have more Chinese customers. Surprised!
Ambience - 2 stars
Taste - 4 Stars

Amazing vegetarian and non-veg food, with a pleasant atmosphere and affordable prices. My only complaint is that is quite inaccessible due to its location. Other than that 4/5 stars from me.
KHALID (23/05/2016 15:01)
Location wise, a bit far from the main buzz. Average price and good service. Fish head curry here is simply the best!
Suresh Kumar (09/04/2016 06:07)
I had only mutton meal and Lassi and I paid c $14 which is not worth at all.food is too expensive. I will not recommend to my friends. To be seated I was asked by the bearer to change the place 3 times. The reason they told like for single person need to wait for others to be joined in a table. It's funny....
Douglas Ng (16/03/2016 10:41)
My fav restaurant of all time. Food is individual preference. Many compare and criticise but everytime i am here, i can confidently say that they serves the best indian food in sg. Masala chicken, curry fishhead and fried fish are my fav. If you are lucky enough you might be able to get the fisheggs but lunch only.
